LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Anastasia Vitkina (photos below) and Jim Carrey are getting serious, claims reports. Anastasia Vitkina is Jim Carrey’s news girlfriend to end 2011, after a year in which Carrey pledged often unusual statements of affection for other women.

Anastasia Vitkina is a New York student who began dating Jim Carrey, 49, this fall. New York news claims that Vitkina previously dated Carrey’s buddy David Schoonmaker. Some unconfirmed reports claim that Vitkina and Carrey began dating perhaps in 2010.

News reports claim Carrey and Vitkina have been spotted romancing at a Los Angeles concert in December. Another report claims the couple were spotted on a New York date in October.

In August, Carrey made news for his unusual video tribute posted for Emma Stone. In it he said “Emma, I think you’re all the way beautiful. Not just pretty, but smart and kind-hearted. And if I were a lot younger, I would marry you.”

Carrey added “We would have chubby little freckle-faced kids, we’d laugh all day long, go camping and play Yahtzee. Tell ghost stories by the fire… And every day, for the rest of your life, you would thank God that I was the appropriate age for you”.

Carrey in August seemed troubled by his age. For Vitkina, that appears not to be an issue. In comparison, Carrey told Stone “But I’m not. I’m 49. I have lines on my face, sometimes a little gray in my beard, and it takes me a little bit longer to pee than it used to.”

No, he did not; nor did Jim Carrey die in a plane, train, or car crash, the most common storyline to dominate fake celebrity death reports. On Tuesday morning, John Cena battled reports that he died. Today, a Hollywood heavyweight is battling ridiculous claims that he died in a snowboard accident.

Since their saturation began in 2009, most fake celebrity death reports concern the personality perishing in a crash in a distant country. But for some particular reason, every few months, one report claims to have elaborate details created by someone who reads too many fiction novels. And while fabricated, they certainly sound a bit more believable.

The most bizarre celebrity death was arguably the June 10, 2010 fake death about actor Russell Crowe. In that report, it claimed the famed actor died in Kitzbühel, Austria. Yes, Kitzbühel, Austria. The fabrication claimed Crowe died in the Hahnenkamm mountain between Hahnenkamm (5616 ft., 1712 m) and Kitzbühler Horn (6548 ft., 1996 m). The fake report even included mountain elevations.

Fake celebrity death reports haven’t matured over the years while their first victims like Nick Jonas and Miley Cyrus certainly have. While today’s report about Carrey might be his first, it is no different that those fake reports that dominated Disney stars two years ago.

The former couple issued statements today to the press, PEOPLE, and Twitter fans to confirm their breakup.

Carrey said:

McCarthy said:

Alex Santana and Jane Carrey, Jim Carrey’s daughter with Melissa Womer, are married. Alex Santana and Jane Carrey’s wedding was twittered by dad.

The couple got married last weekend. On Wednesday, Jim twittered “My Jane is a married woman. Days ago her and my new son in law alex got kitched. The day was simply perfect … lots of love there.”

He also issued a statement “It was a beautiful day. Very simple and sweet. I wish them everything that love has given us.”

Jane is expecting, her due date is March. This is Jane, 22, and Alex’s first child. Congrats!
