LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Anticipated Jessica Simpson baby photos and her pregnancy story are prompting a bidding war. Jessica Simpson’s future baby birth pictures are being shopped by dad Joe Simpson in one of the biggest media moves in recent memory. Jessica Simpson has yet to confirm that she is even pregnant, hasn’t set a wedding date, and hasn’t even revealed that she is anxious to have a child. But reportedly Joe Simpson is very much at work at all of the above.

First, Jessica Simpson is not confirmed pregnant. But Simpson has perfected the art of manipulating news reports about her weight. Simpson in recent months has appeared larger. While news reports have yet to confirm if Simpson’s larger frame is the result of her ever changing figure, multiple news reports this week claim Jessica is pregnant. They additionally are asserting that Simpson is allegedly hiding her pregnancy with clothes.

Several weeks ago, LALATE featured pictures of Simpson that showed her frame no larger than earlier this year. Moreover, the news stories now asserting that she is pregnant are illogically using the same pictures from months ago, in early 2011, to make their assertion this week.

Second, the New York Post claims that Simpson is not only pregnant but it using dad Joe Simpson to shop her future baby pictures. The asking price is reportedly $500,000. In Touch claims that Jessica Simpson is already in her second trimester and knows that the baby is going to be a girl. “She’s already having kooky cravings,” a source told In Touch last month.

OK Magazine as well claims that Simpson is pregnant. But as reported earlier this week on LALATE, the same OK! cover was previously used by the magazine for other female celebrities, including Jennifer Aniston and Kim Kardashian, who were never pregnant.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE EXCLUSIVE) – Is Jessica Simpson pregnant? Is Jessica Simpson about to have a baby? That is the question that Simpson’s fans will ask this week after seeing her face appear on the cover of the latest OK! Magazine. Alongside Jessica Simpson’s picture is the “news” headline “Yes, I’m Having a Baby”. But as LALATE can report, Simpson is not only battling baby reports but an apparent yellow caps, cut-and-paste job.

If this week’s title for Jessica Simpson in yellow caps exclaiming “Yes, I’m Having a Baby!” looks familiar, it should. In June 2010, OK Magazine put Jennifer Aniston’s face on their cover exclaiming also in yellow caps “Yes! I am having a baby”.

The yellow madness didn’t stop there. In June 2011, the yellow caps returned when Kim Kardashian appeared on the cover of OK. And what was Kim’s cover? “I’m Having a Baby”. (At least the punctuation was changed a bit.)

While it is not particularly clear why OK! Magazine has cut and paste the same headline this week for Jessica Simpson that it used for Aniston (who wasn’t pregnant) and for Kardashian (who wasn’t pregnant either), the yellow-caps baby covers has given birth just far too many times.

In April 2010, OK! featured the yellow-caps headline “Baby for Jen”. In June, it returned with “I’m Having a Baby”. And in March 2011, it became “A baby on my own”. To date, Aniston may still hold the record for the most false baby covers  in a single year (see HERE).

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – A Jessica Simpson book by Marce William Burchell is prompting outrage by buyers on Amazon.com. Amazon reps are currently silent about a Marce William Burchell book on Jessica Simpson. Burchell is selling the book apparently as a non-fiction. The Paperback book’s title is “The True Story of Jessica Ann Simpson’s 22 month long attempt to seduce a married man- her very Active Super Secret * life: True Story Jessica Simpson Seduction of A Married Man (Volume 1)”.

Yes, apparently there might be a volume 2. But as to Volume 1, Simpson fans are furious. A quick perusal of “the tags customers associate with the book”, and the comments sections, shows how Simpson fans are furious the book is being listed for sale on Amazon.com.

Simpson’s security team has reportedly been dealing with Burchell. But it remains unclear if Amazon is now dealing with the Burchell controversy as well. The book even says that it’s limited edition and strangely states “only 10,000 signed by the author prereleases will be sold on Ebay. Those sold elsewhere will be unsigned. “

So why is the “fan” writing the book? He explains that it’s all for electric cars. “All proceeds will be donated to BPG Inc. to finance the first affordable electric car that will sell for less than a similar gasoline powered car at $10,000 ( after tax rebate). …

“These funds will put many Americans back to work on this laudible project to make America free from ever higher rising gasoline prices, and will make our land cleaner and freer for all.” Simpson and Amazon have yet to comment on the matter. The author defends his book.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – A new report claims Jessica Simpson has gained so much weight that she is moving back her wedding date to drop the pounds. But a quick perusal of Jessica Simpson’s recent campaign photos for her Jessica Simpson Collection immediately disproves the report’s allegations. In March, Simpson debuted “Bendies”, a new line of platforms for her shoe lines. In it, Simpson looked skinner than ever. She told fans and news at the time “Check out this promo ad for my new Jessica Simpson Bendies! Definitely one of my must-haves for spring!”

Simpson recently appeared on the red carpet for an US Magazine Piperline party wearing a stunning short one piece dress. Simpson was proud of the look, even tweeting her image from the red carpet to her fans on Facebook. But after that appearance, In Touch has now published a new report that Simpson is heavy. The bizarre report claims Jessica is “distraught over her fuller-than-ever figure”. The unbelievable report claims that a “friend” has told the publication that Simpson wants to undergo breast reduction surgery. “She thinks that if she downsizes her *, she will look smaller,” a friend of Jessica’s tells In Touch.

The report even goes on to state that Simpson is afraid of her weight impacting her wedding. “As In Touch has reported, Jessica and fiancé Eric Johnson, 32, had asked friends and family to reserve November 11, but she’s reconsidering. “She’s in such limbo about what to do,” says the friend of Jessica, who another insider tells In Touch is terrified of being a “plus-size bride” (even though she’s not really even plus-size!)”

How big does In Touch claim Simpson is? The “insider” “puts her current weight at the “wrong side of 140 pounds. “

A quick perusal of recent Jessica Simpson ads released this summer disproves the magazine’s bizarre assertion. Simpson recently debuted images for “I Fancy You by Jessica Simpson”, her summer jeans , and most recently her upcoming Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend collection at Zales and Zales Outlets. In all the pictures, she looks nothing like how the “friend” describes her.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Jessica Simpson is launching a jewelry line with Zales. The Jessica Simpson jewelry line will feature the Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend collection. The collection will launch this October, the singer tells news. Simpson specifically designed products that will sell across a wide range of consumers, with items starting at $66.

Simpson’s deal with Zales marks her twenty-second retail category. From a rose gold butterfly pendant to stunning earnings, the collection will feature pendants, earrings, rings, bracelets and bangles, the singer tells WWD. Simpson will reportedly be working with gold, silver and diamonds.

Simpson has increased her products each year. Simpson inks individual deals for individual products. Terms of those deals, including Simpson’s take, are never publicly revealed.

But with her company’s 2010 expected annual sales close to $750 million, Simpson is believed to be earning, individually, in excess of $100 million annually. For her own engagement ring, Simpson chose a stunning Neil Lane creation reportedly worth in excess of $200,000.

Simpson told fans today “Have you heard? … [I’m launching a fine jewelry line with Zales! ” Simpson next appears on the NBC reality show “Fashion Star”.
