LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Maxwell Drew Johnson was welcomed by Jessica Simpson today. Maxwell Drew Johnson is Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson’s first child. Jessica made the news announcement on her website today May 1, 2012.

Jessica told news that “Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson”. She said that her daughter weighed in at 9 lbs 13 ounces. The singer turned reality TV host also told news and fans “we are so grateful for all of the love, support and prayers we have received.” She added “This has been the greatest experience of our lives.”

Simpson’s net worth in recent years has been allegedly close to $1 billion in company sales. An early 2010 Forbes report claimed Simpson’s shoes and accessories earn $500 million in sales, annually. With her empire’s 2010 expected annual sales approaching $750 million, Simpson personally is expected to make in excess of $100 million each year alone.

So will Jessica be drinking Scotch soon? Jessica had told news that she loves to drink and that giving up Scotch was hard for her during her pregnancy. So once the baby is born, Jessica said she would be celebrating with a drink. She previously told news  “I’m a free-spirited girl, but giving up my scotch? My Macallan 18? That was hard for me!”

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Jessica Simpson’s baby dude date is anticipated within weeks. Jessica Simpson didn’t reveal her baby birth due date in recent news interviews  with ELLE Magazine. But Simpson does tell news that the baby is coming this spring.

News reports today claim that Jessica Simpson’s due date could be within the next three weeks. “Her ob/gyn predicts is a 10-lb. baby on the way (the same weight her former NFL-playing beau was at birth), Simpson hopes for a slightly lighter little one,” PEOPLE reports today. “I was only six pounds so maybe Eric and I can meet in the middle,” said Simpson.

Jessica tells news that she loves to drink. And giving up Scotch was hard for her. So once the baby is born, Jessica is anxious to celebrate with a drink. “I’m a free-spirited girl, but giving up my scotch? My Macallan 18? That was hard for me!”

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – A Jessica Simpson Jenny Craig spokesperson deal is being pursued, claims reports. Jessica Simpson and Jenny Craig denied news reports two years ago about the same matter. But now the two are reportedly in final talks for a major deal.

In 2009, Jenny Craig issued a news statement disputing reports that it was courting Simpson. Scott Parker, VP of Marketing and New Business Development for Jenny Craig, at the time said “Over the past couple of weeks, a lot has been made about Jessica Simpson’s purported battle with her weight and more recently Jenny Craig’s interest in partnering with Ms. Simpson”.

Jenny Craig added “Ms. Simpson has publicly stated that she is healthy, feels great and is very happy with her body. We would agree. Ms. Simpson looks fantastic and we see no reason for her to participate in a weight management program.” Simpson at the time also confirmed news that she would not be joining “Jenny”, nor following in the footsteps of Valerie Bertinelli and Queen Latifah.

But now, US Magazine claims a deal is imminent. US is reporting, that after spring birth of her first child,  Jessica will reportedly get paid $4 million to lose the weight with Jenny Craig. Simpson and Jenny Craig have yet to confirm the news.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Anticipated Jessica Simpson baby photos and her pregnancy story are prompting a bidding war. Jessica Simpson’s future baby birth pictures are being shopped by dad Joe Simpson in one of the biggest media moves in recent memory. Jessica Simpson has yet to confirm that she is even pregnant, hasn’t set a wedding date, and hasn’t even revealed that she is anxious to have a child. But reportedly Joe Simpson is very much at work at all of the above.

First, Jessica Simpson is not confirmed pregnant. But Simpson has perfected the art of manipulating news reports about her weight. Simpson in recent months has appeared larger. While news reports have yet to confirm if Simpson’s larger frame is the result of her ever changing figure, multiple news reports this week claim Jessica is pregnant. They additionally are asserting that Simpson is allegedly hiding her pregnancy with clothes.

Several weeks ago, LALATE featured pictures of Simpson that showed her frame no larger than earlier this year. Moreover, the news stories now asserting that she is pregnant are illogically using the same pictures from months ago, in early 2011, to make their assertion this week.

Second, the New York Post claims that Simpson is not only pregnant but it using dad Joe Simpson to shop her future baby pictures. The asking price is reportedly $500,000. In Touch claims that Jessica Simpson is already in her second trimester and knows that the baby is going to be a girl. “She’s already having kooky cravings,” a source told In Touch last month.

OK Magazine as well claims that Simpson is pregnant. But as reported earlier this week on LALATE, the same OK! cover was previously used by the magazine for other female celebrities, including Jennifer Aniston and Kim Kardashian, who were never pregnant.
