An alleged gunshot ripped through Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def Summerfest Afterparty last night with Diddy, Nelly, Usher, and more running for cover. An alleged gunshot caused Diddy to be rushed out of the Jermaine Dupri event that featured celebrities Nelly, Usher, Bow Wow, Gabrielle Union, and Da Brat.

But were they gunshots? Here’s four verisons of the story. You decide.

TMZ claims someone “allegedly fired a round inside the club” with “only reporting one minor injury related to the incident.” Rap-Up claims “One person was reportedly struck by a bullet, but the injury is not life-threatening.” And SOHH claims either “alleged gun shots were on the outside of the club” or “it also could have been a blown out speaker and no gunfire at all. I’m told every”.

Bottom line - Diddy moves fast when he has to, especially with his security on duty.

Janet Jackson Pregnant after Tour

Janet Jackson intends to be pregnant following her 2008 tour, reveals longtime boyfriend and LALATE’s fav Jermaine Dupri.Dupri revealed this weekend here in Los Angeles that Dupri and Jackson aren’t looking to marry but are anxious to start a family, planning the pregnancy after the tour.

Dupri told People at STK last night it will happen “[r]ight after the tour.”

The event was to honor LALATE’s fav STL man Nelly. “Janet would be a great mom. She was around so many brothers and sisters all her life, so she’s got to know what that is [like]. And her mom is a great mother.”

Dupri says Jackson not just an amazing partner but also a wonderful friend.

Aww.

“The greatest thing in life is just to have a friend,” he said. “When I have problems in life, I share them with her. When she has a problem, she comes to me.”

As you know from LALATE daily, JD puts out this incredible videos regularly behind the scenes of acts he’s working with. Many have been from Nelly and even a preview of this song. In this new video … gasp … you can see JD attempting to dance.Janet, smack your man!Ciara looks so hot my sneakers can fly off just by looking at her. And can Nelly’s biceps get any bigger? And oh, Nelly isn’t getting his haircut for the 1,000,00th time in this video.But this video rocks, great stuff.

It’s Janet Monday! Now word also today that Janet Jackson is set to author a new book. The Janet Jackson book yet untitled is believed to hit bookstores for a late 2008 release.The book will cover Jackson’s fights with self-esteem and give weight loosing advice. Expect passages to include tips on eating and lifestyle from Janet’s nutritionist.

Last week, Janet hit up swanky and (healthy) Katsuya restaurant here in Hollywood for her birthday with boyfriend Jermaine Dupri.

On a previous episode of the Tyra Banks show, Jackson revealed how she has been able to keep her weight down in recent years … but still retain that incredible booty and cleavage.

A few days ago, LALATE told you that we are going on the Def Jam Diet! And only LALATE has the skinny on what exactly the Def Jam Diet is.

The chatter sto;; online today has been about the Def Jam Diet, a more guarded secret than a potluck dinner at Scientology. The Post claims that, even though her hubby is no longer at Def Jam, Beyonce normally does the Def Jam detox.” “She has gained a lot of pregnancy weight,” a source said. “When she gains weight, she normally does the Def Jam detox, but not now.””

Online rumors are that Beyonce must be pregnant if she is not on the Def Jam Diet.

What is the Def Jam diet?

While some say it’s related to the “master cleanse” diet developed by Stanley Burroughs in 1941, LALATE disagrees.

The Def Jam diet is basically dancing 1 hour a day to “Shake it Off” … but it only works when you do the Young Jeezy extended remix to the Mariah Carey track.

Jermaine Dupri needs to make a YouTube about the Def Jam Diet! Tell him LALATE said so!

Janet Jackson’s Birthday VIDEO! New video by Jermaine Dupri posted online captures him celebrating with Janet Jackson her 42nd birthday.The two hit up Hollywood restaurant Katsuya just hours after Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo were there. JD and Jackson did it Asian for Jackson’s number 42 dinner.

But then, the two also hit up some good old fries at McDonalds.

Will some sites are claiming this week exclusively that Janet Jackson will tour fall 2008, that’s not new news at all. Jackson has already said that following album promotions (still underway) she would rehearse and then tour in the weeks that follow.

So what are the odds that JD gets his hair cut at the beginning of this video also?

How often does he get his hair cut? Forget YouTube, it’s YouCut.

Jermaine Dupri has posted yet another wonderful YouTube video. As LALATE previously reported, few people have natural charisma like Dupri. It’s hard not to watch one of his videos and not love it. LALATE watches these and just has to watch them over and over, not to see whatever photoshoot it is, or really what the world is even going on, but to watch JD himself. … and of course, there’s his sense of “style”. Yes, it takes something, not sure what, to be able to pimp a hat that doesn’t fit over a hoodie, yes over a hoodie, in a photoshoot no less. So hilarious. Thumbs up to JD.
