LOS ANGELES (LALATE EXCLUSIVE) – Todd Chrisley is no Jeff Lewis, but the Chrisley Knows Best star was definitely Flipping Out, literally. LALATE has exclusively learned that Todd Chrisley of Chrisley Knows Best tried to flip a house in the same neighborhood that Jeff Lewis of Flipping Out has worked on during a previous Bravo season. And while Todd may claim he is the patriarch of perfection, Chrisley wasn’t perfecting anything but a loss on this house. And if you think that Todd was Flipping Out was in Atlanta, Georgia, think again. It was actually in Pacific Palisades, near the Riviera Country Club Golf Course.
What is Todd Chrisley doing trying to flip a Pacific Palisades house? Apparently Todd was enamored with director Sydney Pollack. In 2008, Todd Chrisley for reasons still unknown tried to make a profit on 1067 Corsica Dr in the Pacific Palisades, CA. And in the sales listing, Todd evoked reference to Pollack, a famed director.
The MLS claimed that “This lovely Cape Cod Traditional 1 story home is located in The Riviera, one of the most prestigious and sought after areas of the Pacific Palisades. The property was previously owned by esteemed film director Sydney Pollack and extensively remodeled in 2008.”
Todd sold the property promising a “turnkey residence features exquisite hardwood floors and 3 fire places, adding to the essence of the charming, wintery east coast feeling. The back yard is picturesque, surrounding a well sized heated pool and spa all set on a 15,000 square foot beautifully manicured lot.”
And despite Todd’s description, the house sat on the market for ages with no seller. Eventually, 302 days later, the house became a “bank approved short sale”. The house was listed at $3.5 million and eventually was price dropped to $3.15 million. Zillow claims that the sale price was a loss for Todd.
