ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Skyelor Anderson on The X Factor tonight was doing something right, literally. Skyelor Anderson was the 16 year old African America country western singer who kept singing even after the musical track cut off. After a week of divas and drama queens, Skyelor Anderson at 16 years old was cool, in control, and masterful singing tonight.

Skyelor chose the song “You Must Be Doing Something Right”. But moments into the song, the track cuts off. He kept on singing without any musical track to support him. L.A. Reid afterward said “Did the track cut off?” Anderson promptly said “Yes, I kept singing. I came too far to stop singing man”, a line that brought tears to some eyes and applause from other. Reid responded “You know, I love that you didn’t stop. I love that. You didn’t’ flinch. I panicked. You didn’t. You really good man.”

Paula was shocked, like many viewers, that Anderson is only 16, but so poised with such amazing stage presence. “ You are 16? I’m really impressed. You need to work on vocals. But I believe in you.” Simon added “The fact that it cut off and without a blink you carried on. I was really impressed by that.” Reid added “I so love you’re uniqueness.”

Also tonight J. Mark Inman performed “Creep”. It prompted Paula to remark “You don’t belong here you are other worldly. You are definitely in a different jurisdiction for sure. I think I have visited there once or twice before in my life. The places we can go together!”

Reid remarked “You are not gonna understand… but maybe you will because you are from that place… It sounded so bad but it felt so good.” Cheryl said “I want to visit this place. I need to know where it is. I’ll go with Paula next time.” The two videos are HERE and HERE.
