Crystal Skull Reviews

Crystal Skull Reviews are IN! …. and they are HORRIBLE!
The new Indiana Jones King of the Crystal Skull (VIDEO below) is yielding dreadful reviews. The film is being called not “bad, exactly. But it’s undeniably creaky.”
The Telegraph paper says the film created a sensation at its world premiere in Cannes this weekend. But if you thought the film was “fresh” and “amusing” in the 1980s, that is not how it is today.
Says the paper “Thus, between a series of stunt-driven set pieces, many of them implausibly linked, the film gets bogged down in wearying talk.”
The film starts a decade later from where the last one ended, set in 1957.
“The bad guys are no longer Nazis but Soviets — led by Cate Blanchett, with a Ukrainian accent and a Louise Brooks bob, camping it up like an early-vintage Bond villainess. Shia Le Beouf plays a bratty young James Dean-style rebel on a motorcycle who joins the hunt and - big surprise - turns out to be not unrelated to Indy.”
