BEVERLY HILLS (LALATE) – Playboy’s Crystal Harris (photos below) and Hugh Hefner are getting married. Crystal Harris, the Playboy founder’s girlfriend, is planning a wedding with the magazine mogul after Hef proposed to her over Christmas. For Harris it was a shock.

LALATE first profiled Harris shortly after the exit of Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson. Even at that time, insiders said Harris was often at Hef’s side, delegated important duties. Following the departure of Hef’s “Girls Next Door”, the Playboy founder was reported to have three girlfriends, twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon and Harris.

By January 2009, insiders saw Harris’ role becoming closer to Hef. She wrote at the time on her MySpace page that she was a good girl “for the most part”. But the notable remark from Harris came regarding a holiday update.

For the 2009 Christmas holiday, Hef delegated Harris to be the “voice of the Playboy Mansion”, not the Shannon Twins. From there, the founder and the then 22 year old got closer.

Hef had only finalized his divorced from wife Playmate Kimberley Conrad last year. He was previously married to wife Mildred Williams and divorced in 1959.

Today, Hef is 84 and Harris is 23. He is the father of four kids: Christie, 58, and David, 55, with Mildred; Marston, 10, and Cooper, 9, with Kimberley. Hef tweeted the news Sunday.

LALATE first profiled Harris in January 2009. At that time, Harris was believed to be Hef’s third girlfriend along with the Shannon Twins. Today Hef only mentioned Harris.

PHOTO! Here again is a picture of Marston and Cooper Hefner, Kimberley Conrad Hefner’s sons. Marston and Cooper Hefner are back in the news as Kimberley Conrad Hefner’s divorce with Hugh Hefner heats up this week.

Earlier in 2009, Marston and Cooper Hefner were profiled in Playboy magazine and on LALATE. The two, then 18 and 17, dished on dating, women, and of course dad. Marston and Cooper were asked by dad’s magazine if they too would date two women at the same time, like a certain someone else in the family does now and then:

Marston said no, Cooper said yes.

Marston: “I’m not going to have multiple girlfriends — not at the same time. I can’t imagine that.”

Cooper: “I can imagine doing that. I don’t think it’s an odd thing to do. You date around to try to find a connection with some girl.”

But Kimberley, a former Playmate herself, doesn’t agree with Cooper’s idea. “She’s all about one girlfriend at a time”.

The two also dish on whether their dad can bust a move, or bust an ankle.

Marston: “He is cool out there because his moves are so uncool. He’s a disco inferno from another planet!”

Cooper: “He’s utterly confused, moving his body -— the fast shuffles, the crazy elbows — as if he’s not sure what he’s doing. And all these girls on both sides are freaking on him. It should be awkward, but it isn’t for him. It sort of works. Nobody alive can dance like him.”

Bloomberg says even Sports Illustrated is not having a party. Even NFL Superbowl tickets, which many have mortgaged their house in 2007 and 2008 to afford, have been lowered in price. For New York-based travel consultant Premiere Global Sports tells Bloomberg its business is down 25%!
