LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The Miss Howard Stern DUI arrest has prompted Andrea Brooke Ownbey’s reaction. Andrea Brooke Ownbey won Miss Howard Stern a decade ago. But as she proclaims proudly on her Twitter page “I still hold the title.” Ownbey is now speaking out about a TMZ report claiming that she “was booked for DUI, possession of … paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and driving while in possession”.

Ownbey says the news story is not particularly recent. “I’ve been to court once already all charges dropped except DUI.” She also told news “I had nothing illegal it was my legal medication for my head.”

In March, LALATE reported exclusively that Mrs Howard Stern, Beth Stern, will be returning to HGTV. Her show Mom Caves got a second season committment from the cable network.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Howard Stern claims Britney Spears will be a “train wreck” if she becomes an X-Factor judge. Howard Stern insulted all the American Idol judges today, including Jennifer Lopez, and also claimed that Britney Spears would be even worse if she is added to the new second season of the X Factor.

Even though Simon Cowell produced both Stern’s show, America’s Got Talent, and X Factor, Stern had even more insults for Spears. He told news today that Spears’ motivation is getting “a perfume deal out of this [hosting job].”

Stern appeared across news outlets this morning promoting his own appearance as a new AGT judge. But he had nothing but negative statements about Idol. As to Jennifer Lopez, Stern told news “To sit there with JLo and Britney would be like a ventriloquist with two dummies; I’d have to prop them up.”

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Robin Quivers’ car crash suspect Robert Crockett has been arrested. Robin Quivers told Howard Stern listeners on Monday that she was “almost killed” in a hit and run car crash. Today police confirm they arrested a suspect, Robert Crockett, after swift work by eye witnesses.

Witnesses were reportedly able to get Crockett’s license place after he allegedly slammed into Quiver’s automobile in Barneget Township, New Jersey over the weekend. Quivers detailed the accident in melodramatic style on Monday during the radio telecast, prompting a series of sarcastic jokes by Howard Stern.

Stern “thanked” Quivers for living. But he informed her, if she does crash in the future, he would ask that she do it on Thursday or Friday so he could prepare the show’s lineup adjustment over the weekend.

Quivers had told listeners that allegedly the “guy came out of a parking lot or some kind of side street like a maniac and he lost control of his car and he hit me. He spun around in a 360 and hit me.” She added “He tried to make his turn shorter and he turned in the middle of the road. I was the only car there and he plowed into my driver’s side door.”

Crockett, 50, has been arrested for leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, reckless driving and operating an unregistered vehicle.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Benjy Bronk of the Howard Stern Show explains one remark was wrongly attributed to him from the Anthony Weiner heckling yesterday. Benjy Bronk took to news today to dispute reports that he called the resigning Weiner a “perv–”. His comments came after a series of news outlets, unsure as to the circus of remarks, incorrectly attributed remarks to Bronk.

Benjy Bronk sat quietly as Anthony Weiner delivered the first two minutes of his four minute resignation speech yesterday. Finally, after boasting of years of public service, Weiner paused and announced his resignation. At that point, a male voice shouted “bye bye perv–”.

Some news outlets incorrectly associated that remark to Benjy Bronk. He subsequently disputed those claims. “I’m NOT the person who yelled ‘bye bye’… and yes, I knew he was a Representative, but I felt calling him Senator Weiner was more respectful.”

Bronk later fumed at a Time Magazine news reporter about the same. “[I] saw your article. I’m absolutely not person who yelled [that], see my tweets below for more on that.”

Bronk later admitted to asking Weiner about his physique. Bronk also attempted to justify his remarks by saying “I was going for comedy not to make moral judgments.”

WBTV reports that police officers surrounded Bronk during his exchange and that news reporters in the room “gasped”. The channel adds that “some of the seniors shouted” for Bronk to sit down. The remarks reportedly made Weiner “slightly flushed” until eventually a “police officer approached [Bronk] and told him to quiet down for the remainder of Weiner’s remarks”.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Benjy Bronk from the Howard Stern Show disrupted the Anthony Weiner resignation today (video below). Benjy Bronk was in the otherwise quiet audience as Anthony Weiner began to talk about his years of service. After roughly two minutes of Weiner’s news conference, Bronk and members of the news remained quiet. But when Weiner finally said he was resigning, one person in attendance applauded and said “Yah! Bye bye”.

Benjy Bronk disrupted Weiner’s press conference one week ago. On June 6, Weiner held a news conference admitting to his transgressions. At that press conference, Bronk was seated two rows back in the audience wearing a baseball cap with members of the news. As Weiner spoke, Bronk, directly in the path of the CNN News camera, turned around and waved his hand at the CNN’s live broadcast.

Today, Benjy Bronk was back and ready to cause havoc. Bronk, in the same gray baseball cap, had virtually the same seat. Andrea Mitchell reports that news agencies were furious about Bronk’s antics. “NY reporters say heckler was Benji from Howard Stern radio show.” Mitchell reports news that Benjy Bronk was allegedly “escorted out by police. Weiner supporters tried to shout him down.”

Multiple news agencies reportedly had to switch camera feeds to avoid Bronk in frame. Back Media Bistro reports that CNN allegedly panned back to included Bronk into the broadcast’s frame for viewers to see. Other channels, including FOX, kept the broadcast in tight, to only depict Weiner. Howard Stern has yet to comment, at least not yet.
