Blink-182 Back Together REUNION!

Posted on February 9th, 2009 in Blink 182, Grammy Awards, Grammys, Travis Barker by lalate

Blink-182 Back Together REUNION

Blink-182 back together CONFIRMED!

Blink-182 are back together, the reunion confirmed after the Grammys. The reunion of Blink-182 for 2009 was broke by David Kennedy earlier this weekend with word of  a new album for 2009.

In case you missed the first story about this on LALATE earlier this weekend, here again is the recap.

Thursday night, David Kennedy told fans that even as A&A is about to put out a new album for 2009, so too is Blink-182 to everyone’s surprise.

“I’m trying to write a statement about how Angels is all good while Blink is coming back”.

Asked if no A&A album would be released in replacement for Blink-182, Kennedy added

“No sir. … It will be a good creative year and I want to make sure that comes across.”

And just to make sure it was super clear, another fan said, hey is Blink-182 reuniting?

“Yeah, putting out a record.”

The three appeared this Sunday as presenters at the Grammy Awards. Now after the awards show , Blink-182 issued the following official statement Sunday evening from Los Angeles:

“Hi. We’re blink-182. This past week there’ve been a lot of questions about the current status of the band, and we wanted you to hear it straight from us. To put it simply, We’re back. We mean, really back. Picking up where we left off and then some. In the studio writing and recording a new album. Preparing to tour the world yet again. Friendships reformed. 17 years deep in our legacy.

“Summer 2009. Thanks and get ready…”

2009 is going to be a great year!

Chris Brown ARREST Alleged Rihanna Assault!!

Chris Brown ARREST Alleged Rihanna Assault

Chris Brown felony arrest! Alleged Rihanna assault! Chris Brown has been arrested after an alleged domestic violence assault / battery against Rihanna, says reports.

Chris Brown has been charged and released on $50,000 bail Sunday evening.

Here is the latest from Los Angeles.

While tonight’s Grammy Awards have been exciting, more eyeballs have been focused on what went on allegedly between Chris Brown and Rihanna early Sunday morning in Hancock Park. Brown and Rihanna were at Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy party last night, says reports

By 12:30 midnight, Brown and a female companion got into an alleged incident in a vehicle in the Hancock Park of Los Angeles. Brown’s rep says officially tonight:

“[Chris Brown] became involved in an argument. After stopping his car, Brown and the woman got out and the argument escalated. The woman suffered visible injuries and identified Brown as her attacker.”

The statement does not identify the woman.

Police confirm to E! News that Brown was en route home from the Davis party, but neither Brown’s rep nor police identify the female. After the incident allegedly occurred, the female phoned 911. By the time police responded, Brown was reportedly gone.

By Sunday noon, LAPD were seeking Brown for “investigation” of “domestic violence”, not just random assault. Domestic Violence is between partners, not between strangers.

Sunday afternoon, ET reported Rihanna’s face has “bruises”, Media Take Out reported “a black eye”. Sunday evening, E! reports

“Sources tell E! News that the alleged victim was Rihanna, 20, and that she suffered visible bruises on her face during an altercation that took place hours earlier.

“Cops say they received a 911 call, and when they arrived they noticed the woman had visible injuries. We’re told she then identified Brown as her attacker. Cops say Brown had left the scene by the time police arrived.”

Brown and Rihanna thereafter both canceled for the Grammy Awards. By 6:30, Brown turned himself into the Wilshire LAPD station.

Brown was not charged on assault nor domestic violence charges. Rather he was charged on one count felony criminal threats and released on $50,000 bail.

E! reports “further charges could be filed”.

Rihanna’s publicist, Amanda Silverman, says Rihanna was “involved in an unspecified traffic mishap. “Rihanna is well,” the rep said. “Thank you for concern and support.” “

LAPD policy is not to release the identification of a victim in a DV investigation.
