Is it me, or did you also not like this duet of Rihanna with The Time. There is way too much instrumentation going on.

The Time was known for that great funky sound. But when you add that with Rihanna, you need to turn down the amps’ on it. The number is so loud you can’t hear vocals. And what is that 10 second bit of The Time’s song in there? Alicia Keys didn’t just perform once .. but twice on tonight’s Grammys. She opened the show with this duet, a duet with a video projection of the late Frank Sinatra.Personally, this was one of my favorite numbers from the night, because it’s pure, clean, and shows how great Alicia’s voice is. The band is clearly off pace in the song, too fast and in front of Alicia and Frank’s pacing. But they still pull it off!
