Rachel Brown Hell’s Kitchen Death Followed by Joseph Cerniglia

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The Hell’s Kitchen death of Rachel Brown was followed Joseph Cerniglia’s suicide last weekend. For Hell’s Kitchen fans, two deaths in just three years is far too many; moreover, the “Hudson River” comments by Gordon Ramsay to Cerniglia is leaving more questions unanswered still Tuesday.
In May 2007, Rachel Brown was found dead near her home in Beford Texas at age 41. Her sister told the Dallas Voice at the time that “she was a delight. She was funny and sweet and worked really hard”. Brown’s cause of death was initially under investigation and ruled at first a murder.
By 2009 on Cowhound, the popular food website, fans continued to question Brown’s cause of death. “That’s sad. I went back and watched some of the old clips. She didn’t seem like the type to internalize defeat” wrote one reader.
Last weekend, Joseph was found dead at 39. He jumped to his death. His body was found after it floated down the Hudson River. Gordon Ramsay had told Joseph that his food was dreadful and that his business as a chef would “swim down the Hudson”. Joseph had jumped off the George Washington Bridge Friday night, close to west 145th street.
