VIDEO! Watch “Who’s Gonna Save My Soul”, the new music video from LALATE’s fav Gnarls Barkley. This is the third single from Gnarls off “Odd Couple”. But LALATE has some major questions first.
1. Why did “Run”, the first single off of “Odd Couple” (which is amazing) never get in the top 20 of any U.S. Billboard chart? This song is incredible! LALATE first broke to you “Run” and “Save My Soul” back earlier this year.
Everyone that LALATE has spoken to about this album doesn’t just love it but has it in their car cd player and listens to it regularly. So why did it chart so poorly?
2. Why did Cee-Lo say the Gnarls (featured in SI above) will only put out one more album? Why?!
Well, to make it clear, here is exactly what he said: “Cee-Lo: We got one more album to do. I got one more album to do. I don’t wish to be summed up by Gnarls Barkley either, the same way I didn’t wanna be summed up by Goodie Mob at the time. I don’t wanna be summed up at all. I just wanna do whatever the f– I wanna do. The only bar I’m trying to meet each time is quality. It may be unique, it may be rare, strange, weird, all the words you can use to describe something different, but it’s gon’ be dope.”
