What do celebrity chefs crave when THEY are pregnant? What do THEY want to cook themselves during their pregnancy?

THIS one I would have NEVER guessed.

One my favorite people ever, Giada De Laurentiis, is of course pregnant … and what does she crave?

Steak!!!

What the hell, Giada? Steak?!

“I always want steak – lots of steak,” Giada tells People.

I say Giada do a pregnancy cookbook! Wouldn’t that be cool? Giada says she’s indulging currently …. so guess that baby is getting steak 24/7!

“Everyday Italian” Food Network host Giada De Laurentiis is pregnant!

This morning, the Food Network star made the annoucement on the “Today” show.

“When I found out I was pregnant I was in complete shock … I truly didn’t believe it. I honestly thought, ‘there has got to be a mistake.’”

This is the 37 year old’s first child with husband, Todd Thompson, a clothing designer for the Anthropologie fashion company. She is also the star of Food Network’s “Behind the Bash,” “Giada’s Weekend Getaways” and “Giada in Paradise.” She’s also a frequent contributor on NBC’s “Today.”

Giada is the granddaughter of Dino De Laurentiis and Italian film star Silvana Mangano. Her mother is actress Veronica De Laurentiis and actor-producer Alex De Benedetti.
