Applebees Veterans Day Meal FREE

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Applebees Veterans Day Free Meal returns today. Applebees Veterans Day Free Meal offer in 2009 passed out over 1 million free meals to members of our military. As reported on LALATE last year, the restaurant gives the honor to both Veterans and active duty military members.
Today that wonderful celebration returns.
In a nation in which we seem to take from our people more than we give back, this annual tradition by Applebees is unmatched. It doesn’t require a coupon. It doesn’t require you signing up for someone’s newsletter. This is simple, and clean.
All you have to do is show proof of military service. Example of ID accepted include
* U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card
* U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card
* Current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES)
* Photograph in uniform
* Wearing uniform
* Veterans Organization Card
(i.e., American Legion and VFW)
* DD214
Once you do, you will eat free today. Where it’s Double Crunch Shrimp, Oriental Chicken Salad, or Three Cheese Chicken Penne, it’s waiting for your selection. It may only be breakfast time, but that picture LALATE is looking at right now of their Bacon Cheeseburger and 7 oz House Sirloin both look delicious alreaday. “Cheddar cheese and crispy Applewood smoked bacon crown our thick ‘n hearty burger on a toasted bakery bun. Served with lettuce, tomato, pickles and onion” for the Burger. “Our traditional cut is both juicy and savory, served with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables” says Applebees of the Sirloin.
