Erika Bonilla FBI Case Prompts Debrahlee Lorenzana Similarity

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – When the Erika Bonilla FBI case (photos below) erupted this month, immediately similarities to the Debrahlee Lorenzana surfaced. In 2010, Debrahlee Lorenzana dominated news for her “too hot for Citibank” dispute. Now Erika Bonilla is detailing how the FBI allegedly treated her because of her own workplace appearance.

Erika Bonilla claims that the FBI allegedly wrongly allows its employees to be ridiculed by other employees about everything from their music career to their career advancement. Bonilla claims that, despite such alleged harassment, she continued to excel in her workplace, getting improved valuations from supervisors and more advancements.

But after workers allegedly claimed that Erika Bonilla slept with her supervisor for advancement, allegedly claimed that she didn’t pay taxes on her singing career, and allegedly asserted that she was only promoted because of her curves, Bonilla had enough.

Bonilla claims her harassment came from co-workers, but that supervisors allowed it to continue. Lorenzana, in turn, claimed that she was harassed by her supervisors.

Lorenzana claimed in 2010 that she was told by bosses to change her clothing selections. Lorenzana said bosses, all male apparently, told her that her turtlenecks, pencil skirts, three-inch heels, and fitted business suits were not appropriate for work. But her employer denied those allegations.

Bonilla said the conduct was so bad that she was ultimately given a suspension without pay for ten days bending in a permanent record suspension. Bonilla asserts that she did nothing to bring upon such alleged conduct against her.

Bonilla reveals that, the more she complained, the more she was allegedly harassed. On Dec. 7, 2009, she filed a complaint with the FBI’s Equal Employment Opportunity Affairs of employment discrimination. She claims that complaint resulted in retaliation. That retaliation is now part of her complaint against the FBI.

As Bonilla sought redress she claims she was given retaliatory punishment. “The Agency knew that Ms. Bonilla was in fact being harassed and retaliated against,” the suit claims. “The damage was done as to Ms. Bonilla and the agency did nothing to rectify what happened.”

The purported conduct occurred in the office’s New Mexico division. But now Bonilla “has now relocated to another office in California because of harassment and has since received good ratings at her new location, even obtaining an award.”

Erika Bonilla Photos Revealed in New FBI Escandalo

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Erika Bonilla (photos below) is a Latin cantante from New Mexico. She was also a FBI field officer in Albuquerque, N.M., since 2002. But today, Bonilla confirmed to news that she filed a lawsuit against the FBI on June 18 for alleged harassment and discrimination. The Latin singer claims co-workers didn’t like her because she is a singer and beautiful.

In her lawsuit, Erika Bonilla claims that her supervisors were “jealous of her appearance and Latin singing career.” Her lawsuit names both the FBI, Attorney General Eric Holder and the Department of Justice.

The lawsuit claims that supervisors allowed co-workers to allegedly gossip. Bonilla claims the workplace gossip said that she got her job because of her looks. Bonilla asserts that her co-workers allegedly “would not train [her] or work with her in a non-hostile manner, and they also spread malicious gossip in the office” that she “only obtained her position because of her appearance”.

Bonilla also claims that the alleged conduct got even worse. She claims that one employee allegedly “falsely stated that the reason the position was given to [Bonilla] was because [she] had …. relations with executive management in the Albuquerque Office.”

The suit asserts that she was drilled excessively during an investigation about whether she had relations with executive management to get advancement in the FBI.

The suit also claims that she was the victim of gossip about her singing career as well. She claims that employees allegedly said she wasn’t paying taxing on signing income she was making.

She claims, however, that her performance on the job improved, and her valuations even got better, despite what she had to endure. She claims there were “no negative remarks whatsoever as to Ms. Bonilla’s performance in May 2009″ and that “from 2008 to 2009, her critical elements rating got better.”

She points to one evaluation which found she had “developed good rapport with her supervisor, and consistently provides prompt, professional responses to questions and concerns.” The suit adds “She was also discriminated against because she is a Hispanic female who received the position she had over Maria Grossetete, and because several coworkers were jealous of her appearance and Latin singing career”. Rather the “Agency knew that Ms. Bonilla was in fact being harassed and retaliated against,” so Bonilla claims. “The damage was done as to Ms. Bonilla and the agency did nothing to rectify what happened.”
