BEVERLY HILLS (LALATE) – Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy photos might have drawn international news coverage but you will have hard time finding any response in Beverly Hills. Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy pics arrived on newsstands this week one year after the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fumed over Playboy pictures of Camille Grammer versus Faye Resnick. But none of the very outspoken RHOBH cast members are talking this week about Lohan’s Playboy spread. Noticeably silent, however, is the RHOBH cast member who even co-funded Ali Lohan’s last music album. Can you guess who she was?

Before there was a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, there was Living Lohan, a reality series which paired Lindsay Lohan’s mother and sister Ali Lohan on screen. Throughout the storyline, Ali Lohan made news as she pursued her music career. The show dominated news in 2008. But at the same time, Ali Lohan began work inside a notable Las Vegas hotel for her second album. Lindsay Lohan’s sister was at the time signed to a small label with a powerful Las Vegas / Beverly Hills family.

Ali Lohan’s 2008 album began recording sessions at the Palms that year and was slated to be released by Maloof Music, a partnership of Maloof Productions and Interscope Records. The Ali Lohan label was co-owned by Adrienne Maloof along with her family members.

In 2008, LALATE reported news that Ali Lohan was recording for the Adrienne Maloof and family label. A FOX news report added “The brothers let the Lohans stay at the Palm, just as Michael Jackson and his brood have been living in another part of the hotel.” The report added “the Maloofs not only are underwriting the album but also the reality series Ali and mom, Dina, are starring in for “E!” “

The RHOBH cast members have been obsessive about each other’s Playboy spreads for two years. But they make no mention of Lohan this week. Just weeks ago, Bravo aired a special segment called Dinner Party from Hell, Producers Cut, in which Faye Resnick delved extensively into Camille Grammer’s Playboy past. Faye told viewers “Someone sent me a Playboy shot [of Camille] and it doesn’t look like a Playboy shot. It look a p–n shot…. I know everything about Camille’s past.”

The Playboy drama heated up last season when Kyle Richards on-air turned to Camille Grammer and remarked “Camille, didn’t YOU also pose for Playboy?” Kyle knew the answer because the Housewives had reportedly looked at Camille’s pictures in the limo en route to Camille’s Malibu mansion. Grammer, as Camille Donatacci, had posed for Playboy, along with the Marilyn Chambers’ Bedtime Stories and The N–ed Detective.

Last year, Grammer drew news debate after she said she didn’t do Playboy Magazine but Playboy’s Lingerie book. Taylor said “It’s clothed? You we wearing lingerie.” Lisa Vanderpump off screen responded to the comment. “Lingerie? I thought the whole point of Playboy is no lingerie.” Like Vanderpump’s response, this week, critics have fumed that Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy photos are barely revealing to marginally qualify for Playboy.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The Lindsay Lohan Playboy pictures promotion were to get only one news interview: ELLEN. Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy pics were never to be seen by the world until her appearance on the daytime talk show. Then the pictures got leaked worldwide over a week before the telecast. Now Lindsay Lohan confirms she has missed her flight and can’t even make the ELLEN taping. With no exclusive, and no celebrity, the news interview has been canceled.

Lindsay Lohan decided to fly out of California this week. And just like that notable trip to France, Lohan has missed her flight home. Lohan was set to tape her ELLEN telecast in Los Angeles. But Lohan missed her flight today and confirms she won’t be making the appearance.

Yet, even more troubling is that Lohan is merely in Hawaii and has to get back to Los Angeles tomorrow. Apparently between commercial and private jets, Lohan has not been able to figure out the Expedia solutions to world’s travel problems today.

Hugh Hefner has yet to comment on the news. But US Magazine reports that Lohan will not make the ELLEN taping. Lohan has issued a news statement which merely states “Lindsay was delayed in Hawaii due to a travel-related issue…Lindsay offered to tape Ellen tomorrow, but the show was unable to shift things around, and tomorrow is their last day of taping for the season.” Lohan has yet to comment about her court appearance in Los Angeles tomorrow.

Playboy’s spread has drawn criticism for being overly airbrushed and not representative of the actress’ body and skin. Her tattoos were photoshopped out in the editing booth. Her curves appear substantially larger than they do in real life. In fact, many argue that her appearance as Marilyn Monroe in 2008 was far more revealing than this time around.

Lohan recently made news suing over Pitbull’s monstrous hit song “Give Me Everything” in which her name is mentioned. Pitbull says “When I was mentioning Lindsay Lohan on the record, it was a positive message.” Pitbull says others have misquoted the lyrics at issue. “The quote they have now is all wrong.” Pitbull says the lyric is not “Hustlers move aside” but “Hustlers move in silence”. “When I say … locked up Lindsay Lohan … it means you run that area.”

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The Lindsay Lohan Playboy photos release date this week could result in an international sales record for the publishing empire. In debuting Lindsay Lohan pictures this week, Playboy has pushed attention on U.S. markets, and driven that publicity via television and print remarks. But the real deal changer could be international sales. With more news attention on U.S. supermarket shelves, the real surprise for Playboy could come internationally.

Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy pictures will debut in the U.S. at a time in which American sentiments toward the struggling actress are more negative than positive. U.S. viewers have grown indifference for the young celebrity who in recent months hasn’t produced any products other than merchandise and retail items. Lohan has seemingly vacated her core music and film fans for spray tanning and leggings consumers. Moreover, U.S. markets have been saturated by Lohan’s court appearances and mug shots.

Additionally, U.S. consumers have grown resentment towards airbrushed celebrities whose print-appearance bares a stark contrast to their real persona. This week, Lohan appears curvy for Playboy pics. But bikini pictures of Lohan also taken this week show Lohan as lacking those same curves.

Internationally, the reaction is far different. Lohan’s persona internationally is impacted less by her legal troubles. Her court appearances don’t internationally get the type of coverage U.S. broadcasters afford them. But Lohan’s name cache for a younger demographic is arguably as strong, if not stronger, to international buyers than last January’s cover star, Pamela Anderson.

The bigger unanswered question for Playboy is how they will treat Lohan marketing internationally. In 2010, Kim Kardashian fumed when she learned that twenty-five additional photos she took for Playboy three years later were being released overseas in new issue(s).

In fact, one of Lohan’s biggest magazine sellers in recent years wasn’t domestic but overseas, the 2009 issue of Vogue Espana. While Lohan shot the Vogue Spain pictures in Hollywood, the photos spread became a blockbuster for Spanish buyers in 2009.

The magazine said at the time “The actress, who turned 23 earlier this month, listed some of her fashion idols: Karl Lagerfeld, Emanuel Ungaro and Kate Moss.” Lindsay said of that photospread “The shoot went great. The photographer was organized as if it were a movie, and helped get me into character, looking out onto the Hollywood Hill and dressed as Marilyn Monroe.”

Also at issue is if Playboy could release two sets of Lohan pictures overseas. Lohan reportedly sat for an initial spread taken by the publication. After the urging of editors, Lohan was brought back into the studio to do a second, dramatically different appearance. That second spread made the U.S. print edition.

Playboy has yet to confirm to news if it will ever slate the release of the first studio shoot. With the two shoots reportedly quite different, Playboy ostensibly could have for international readers more material than this January 2012 issue.

For now, U.S. markets get a December 15, 2011 release date. Playboy has yet to comment to news about its deployment and marketing plans for overseas this month.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Lindsay Lohan in her Playboy photos and interview reveals her mistakes, her hopes for the future and her Marilyn Monroe obsession. Of course, Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy pictures and interview might sound familiar since Lohan has basically told news the same story two times before. The release date for Lohan’s Playboy pics was moved up to last weekend. But in her yet her third reincarnation of Marilyn Monroe for a news publication in just the last four years, Lohan reveals much the same type of quotes that she has given before.

Lindsay Lohan’s obsession with Marilyn Monroe has been channeled twice before for news publications. First, in 2008, she grabbed a white wig and evoked Monroe for New York Magazine. Then in July 2009, she did the same for Vogue Espana (Spanish Vogue). But what makes Lohan’s obsession so troubling is that her statements to previous news publications three years ago mirror those to Playboy still in 2011.

Lohan said in 2008 that she had learned from her mistakes, had hopes for the future, and yet felt an association with Monroe. Now four years after those assurances by Lohan, not much has changed for Lohan except the choice of Monroe’s wigs to wear.

In 2009, Vogue Espana gave Lohan accolades worthy of a Paris runway. “Next to movies and the world of fashion, this captivating actress is considered one of the few talents of his generation.” Yet, Lohan wouldn’t star in feature film that year, or anytime in the next two years.

The article went on to mention Lohan in the same context of Karl Lagerfeld. “A collection of leggings and a self limited edition, Seven Nyne Spray Tan, … are the latest fashion. Her idols are Karl Lagerfeld, Emanuel Ungaro and Kate Moss”.

Shortly after her second sitting as Marilyn Monroe in 2009, Lohan told news she would not do another Monroe-inspired shoot again. But apparently an alleged one million dollar paycheck from Playboy changed her mind. Monroe returns to channeling Marilyn for the 2012 January issue of the publication. In it, she doesn’t just pose as Monroe but cites her notable quotes and indicates her association with the actress, yet again.

Lohan tells Playboy in her interview that she continues to relate to Monroe and see similarities between the actress and herself. She adds “Looking back, I probably would have listened to and taken more advice from the people whom I admire and would have followed through with it more.”

Lohan is, yet, again looking back at her previous troubles. “My stubbornness at 18- and 19-years-old got in the way,” she said. “During the past five years, I’ve learned that time flies faster than you think, and because you only live once you have to learn from your mistakes, live your dreams and be accountable.”

Lohan, however, is not quoted by Playboy for seeing a similarity between her and Monroe for acting roles. Lohan years earlier was garnered millions of dollars per year for her acting. She earned a 2007 Teen Choice nomination for Georgia Rule. At the time, she told news that she felt empowered by her acting like Monroe. But this time, she’s not saying that.

“That was really empowering for a woman in the ‘50s. Marilyn was not a victim. She took control. And we remember her, 50 years later, for her “great films.” ” For Playboy, Lohan doesn’t mention  empowerment through acting.  In fact, Lohan has yet to indicate to news any lead roles slated for 2012 production. Nor has she revealed any news of upcoming music releases.

Yet, what hasn’t changed is the public’s obsession with Lohan. Lohan has been critical of news reports about her. Lindsay Lohan Playboy pics release date preparations have been covered extensively here since earlier this fall. But now the Lindsay Lohan Playboy photos, featured in the magazine’s January 2012, will be moved up earlier based upon demand for the issue, officials confirm to news. The news follows predictions from earlier this fall that the magazine might shift shipment dates if initial response is favorable.

Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy pics spread features the troubled actress in ten pictures, officials indicate to news. Lohan is unclothed, sitting in classic Playboy poses from the 1960s and 1970s. She is wearing an apparent wing, evoking Marilyn Monroe, and is positioned against a red velvet backdrop, with matching lipstick. Playboy tells news this weekend that the release date for the pictures have been changed; the announcement comes just days after the publication first claimed that a daytime talk show would reveal the pictures exclusively to the world.

In fall 2011, LALATE exclusively reported news that the Lohan Playboy photos should likely be revealed by at least December 9, 2011. At the time, Playboy had yet to confirm to news the date of the spread’s release. But a year earlier, Playboy chose that same day to pre-release initial Playboy fotos from the January 2011 Pamela Anderson spread.

Suddenly, earlier this week, Playboy told news that the pictures would get their world premiere in an unlikely medium: daytime television. The ELLEN show was set to debut the pictures on December 15, 2011. The print issue was to get the same December 15 release date.

Ironically, earlier this fall, LALATE predicted December 15 as the key release date used by Playboy each year this time. On the same date last year, Playboy released two additional pictures of Anderson from inside her 2011 issue, along with two pages of Anderson’s article.

But when the assertion was made to news that ELLEN would debut the “pictures” to the world, many fans were left scratching their heads how a daytime television show could pull that off. Suddenly, within hours of the announcement for the ELLEN release, Playboy confirmed news that the pictures will get a new release date. While the print issue’s release date remains unchanged as December 15, 2011, Playboy announced news this weekend the immediate release of the pictures.

Hugh Hefner claims that the issue will be a true Collector’s Edition. But for Lohan, it remains unclear how, if anything beyond a paycheck, the pictures will help Lohan’s career. Lohan’s music career has been non-existent, her film career has been absent for over a year.

Production notes reveal that Lohan has no apparent major role in film or television slated for next year. She last appeared nominally in 2010’s Machete and in the lead role for 2009’s Labor Pains. Lohan had inked three leading roles only two years earlier including the well-received Georgia Rule. Between 2004 and 2006, she stared in nine films.

But now her film career is as stagnant as her music career. She released the nominal La Bella Vita in 2007 and two tracks in 2006. Her last single was the track “Bossy” released three years ago.
