“If I wasn’t under the restraints that I’m under right now, I’d feel so liberated. When I tell them the way I feel, it’s like they hear me, but they’re really not listening.”

“I wanted to make this film because I started to feel like I wasn’t being seen in the light that I wanted to be seen in. This is an opportunity to set the record straight and talk about what I’ve been through and where I’m headed.”

MTV The Hills Season 5 is confirmed! MTV will deliver a Season 5 for the Hills. The Hills Season 5 was confirmed by Audrina Patridge this weekend. The fourth season of the “reality” show ends shooting this month.

But now Patridge says a fifth season has been confirmed, but in the most unusual way.

“We just found out”.

Found out?

Throughout most summer, reports had said Season 5 might not happen because of cast demands. It’s unclear now whether those reports were false or if Patridge is simply saying that MTV wants a new season and details have not yet been determined.

LALATE had told you this fall that a season 5 for the Hills seems logical, and perhaps as the series’ final since MTV needs to anchor the launch of The City with Whitney Port and the hardly publicized Bromance with Brody Jenner.

Patridge tells People: “At one point, all of us were like, ‘No, we don’t want to do another season,’” she says. “I wanted to do more movies, and Whitney moved to New York and she’s doing her own spin-off. And Lauren’s dating [My Boys actor] Kyle [Howard] but he can’t be on the show because he’s on another show, so that makes it hard.”

The Adrienne Bailon picture scandal is ironic to Vanessa Hudgens fans. Adrienne Bailon was falsely reported as Vanessa Hudgens’ replacement after Hudgen’s own photo scandal. Even moreso, Adrienne Bailon Vanessa Hudgens false replacement reports hit almost exactly 1 year ago.

Back in October, 2007, Disney star Vanessa Hudgens had her own picture scandal, pictures meant for her boyfriend (Zac Efron). Now one year later, fellow Disney star Adrienne Bailon is caught in the same situation, pictures meant for her boyfriend (Rob Kardaskian).

But it was an October, 17 2007 article by OK! Magazine that falsely linked Bailon to the Hudgens picture scandal cleanup. That article, still on OK! website and not retracted, but since proven false, read that Hudgens was out at Disney because of her photos; the article wrongly claimed Hudgens being replaced potentially by no other than Adrienne Bailon. OK! incorrectly reported:

“Over a month after frisky nude photos of High School Musical starlet Vanessa Hudgens hit the Internet, OK! can exclusively report that Disney has made up its mind about what to do next and that the 18-year-old actress will not be asked to board the boat for the third HSM film. … The source also reports that one of the Cheetah Girls — Adrienne Baillon, 23, or possibly 23-year-old Sabrina Bryan — will take Vanessa’s place. “The producers think that after Dancing With the Stars, Sabrina will be more famous than Vanessa.” “

Hudgens would thereafter say, along with Disney, that the Bailon Hudgens replacement was false.

“Totally untrue. It is an old rumor,” Vanessa’s rep told Access Hollywood “OK! Magazine never bothered to check the fact with me, but they did call Disney who said it wasn’t true, but yet OK! ran it anyway. Apparently, OK! Magazine was having a slow news day.”

VIDEO! Watch video of the new “50 Cent - The Money and the Power”. 50 Cent’s Money and Power premieres tonight on MTV.

The show is basically the Apprentice. Recently MTV did “Work for Diddy”, and that didn’t work, a ratings flop. Now it’s 50 Cent’s chance. He of course says it’s not the same show.

“Immediately when you say a reality show that has a business spin to it, they think ‘The Apprentice,’ and the difference is these people don’t actually want to work for me. They have their own business ideas that they created and they’re competing for $100,000 in seed money.”

The show features 14 business people. The show follows the line of his upcoming book, “The 50th Law,” with Robert Greene. His new album “Before I Self Destruct” drops on Dec. 9.

VIDEO! Watch the new video trailer of Real World Brooklyn. Real World Brooklyn is season 21 of MTV’s Real World. The trailer reveals cast, location, and a few details.

The Real World’s Bunim/Murray Productions really don’t get the type of credit they should. They invented the reality tv format in 1992 with the original Real World. When you look at a reality tv shows today, whether it’s Janice Dickinson, Big Brother, or I Love Money, the whole format, structure, filming techniques, casting schemes, of a reality tv show (in which members live together) was created by Bunim Murray.

If you’ve been watching Real World since the beginning like LALATE, you seen how this format has jumped from MTV to other networks. Real World remains the network’s longest running tv series.

This year’s broadcast is the third to be set in New York, but the first in Brooklyn. New York was the location in 1992 and 2001. Filming started August 14 and ends this month, the show airing next year for 12 one hour episodes.

Will Whitney Port of “The City” make an appearance? How cool will that be.

Jon Murray says of this year’s choice of Brooklyn:

“ The Brooklyn season, like the Hollywood season, will focus on what people loved about ‘The Real World’ when it launched in 1992 - genuine people, meaningful conflict and powerful stories…We’re thrilled that MTV is allowing ‘The Real World’ turn 21! ”

The show is being shot at Pier 41 at 204 Van Dyke Street in the Red Hook section of town.

Hannah Montana episode “No Sugar, Sugar” will NOT air. Miley Cyrus’ “No Sugar, Sugar” episode will not air, yanked by Disney. The episode concerns Diabetes.

So why was No Sugar, Sugar yanked?

Reportedly, a Disney spokesperson tells New York Daily News:

“During the scriptwriting stage of the Hannah Montana episode in question, the matter of depicting a character with diabetes was reviewed by our Standards and Practices executives who consulted with medical experts to inform the story and ensure that it was told responsibly.

“….Notwithstanding the measures we took, and based on the episode’s preview and early feedback from parents (who saw it on Subscription Video on Demand and/or mobile platforms), we removed the episode from Sunday’s schedule and are now reevaluating it.”

Instead of airing this Sunday, the episode will be replaced with “Ready, Set, Don’t Drive” .

Shakir Stewart is dead from a suicide. Shakir Stewart, Jay-Z’s Island Def Jam replacement, killed himself in a suicide. Funeral arrangements are not released.

Shakir Stewart’s suicide is leaving many guessing what went wrong. Stewart, 34, shot himself in bathroom of his home in Marietta, a suburb of Atlanta.

He told Billboard in June that he looked to have “new, young executives … the hot executive who’s 21, 22 years old and has a serious passion for music and the desire to work 27 hours a day. That’s where I was at that time in my life. And that’s who I’m looking to mentor. I don’t see many people like that. Instead, I see a lot of kids who want to live the lifestyle but don’t want to put in the work and do what it takes.”

Saturday night Island Def Jam issued this statement:

“LA Reid and all of us at Island Def Jam Music Group are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend and colleague Shakir Stewart. Shakir was an amazing man, in every sense of the word. A truly incredible friend and father who was an inspiration to not only our artists and employees, but to his family and the many people who had the privilege of counting him as a friend. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family at this very difficult time.”

Acts that Stewart signed to the label before taking on his position included Rick Ross and Young Jeezy.

He will be missed.
