LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The Lindsay Lohan Playboy pics spread demand has prompted a change in the photos’ release date. Lindsay Lohan Playboy pics release date preparations have been covered extensively here since earlier this fall. But now the Lindsay Lohan Playboy photos, featured in the magazine’s January 2012, will be moved up earlier based upon demand for the issue, officials confirm to news. The news follows predictions from earlier this fall that the magazine might shift shipment dates if initial response is favorable.

Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy pics spread features the troubled actress in ten pictures, officials indicate to news. Lohan is unclothed, sitting in classic Playboy poses from the 1960s and 1970s. She is wearing an apparent wing, evoking Marilyn Monroe, and is positioned against a red velvet backdrop, with matching lipstick. Playboy tells news this weekend that the release date for the pictures have been changed; the announcement comes just days after the publication first claimed that a daytime talk show would reveal the pictures exclusively to the world.

In fall 2011, LALATE exclusively reported news that the Lohan Playboy photos should likely be revealed by at least December 9, 2011. At the time, Playboy had yet to confirm to news the date of the spread’s release. But a year earlier, Playboy chose that same day to pre-release initial Playboy fotos from the January 2011 Pamela Anderson spread.

Suddenly, earlier this week, Playboy told news that the pictures would get their world premiere in an unlikely medium: daytime television. The ELLEN show was set to debut the pictures on December 15, 2011. The print issue was to get the same December 15 release date.

Ironically, earlier this fall, LALATE predicted December 15 as the key release date used by Playboy each year this time. On the same date last year, Playboy released two additional pictures of Anderson from inside her 2011 issue, along with two pages of Anderson’s article.

But when the assertion was made to news that ELLEN would debut the “pictures” to the world, many fans were left scratching their heads how a daytime television show could pull that off. Suddenly, within hours of the announcement for the ELLEN release, Playboy confirmed news that the pictures will get a new release date. While the print issue’s release date remains unchanged as December 15, 2011, Playboy announced news this weekend the immediate release of the pictures.

Hugh Hefner claims that the issue will be a true Collector’s Edition. But for Lohan, it remains unclear how, if anything beyond a paycheck, the pictures will help Lohan’s career. Lohan’s music career has been non-existent, her film career has been absent for over a year.

Production notes reveal that Lohan has no apparent major role in film or television slated for next year. She last appeared nominally in 2010’s Machete and in the lead role for 2009’s Labor Pains. Lohan had inked three leading roles only two years earlier including the well-received Georgia Rule. Between 2004 and 2006, she stared in nine films.

But now her film career is as stagnant as her music career. She released the nominal La Bella Vita in 2007 and two tracks in 2006. Her last single was the track “Bossy” released three years ago.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The Lindsay Lohan Playboy photos are more like Marilyn Monroe and less like Casey Anthony. For Playboy pictures, Lindsay Lohan had her “la bella vita” tattoo airbrushed out. “Bella vita” became a core of the prosecution’s case against Casey Anthony in June this year. But tonight, Playboy is drawing controversy, not just for the removal of that single Lohan tattoo, but other substantial changes to Lohan via airbrushing.

Lindsay Lohan in shooting her Playboy pics entered their studio with a series of tattoos, some discrete and some which have made news for years. When Lohan’s Playboy pictures were completed, all that ink was gone from the pages. Today, Playboy is drawing debate for not marginally but dramatically changing Lohan’s appearance for the January 2012 issue.

As noted by Gawker, Lohan had nearly a handful of tattoos in undergoing the photospread. Lohan instead was dressed in an apparent large wig and lip makeup to recreate classic poses of Marilyn Monroe for the publication. But not only did Playboy airbrush Lohan to the point of almost non-recognition, but her skin has undergone a possible substantial change in the editing room.

In September, Lohan made news for her tribute to Billy Joel. She added to her body the lyrics “Clear as a crystal sharp as a knife. I feel like I’m in the prime of my life.” The tattoo appears on Lohan’s side. But for Playboy, clearly the lyrics to a Billy Joel 1989 song (“I Go to Extremes”) doesn’t match a Marilyn Monroe pose from decades earlier. Lohan told news at the time that the lyrics tattoo was significant to her because “It represented where she is in life and everything she’s been through … it signifies that she’s focused.”

And while Lohan has made news of her fascination with Monroe for years, even her own Monroe ink was removed by Playboy to become Marilyn here. In 2009, Monroe-Lo, as she was nicknamed at the time, had added to her inner wrist “Everyone’s a star and deserves the right to twinkle”. Lohan made news getting that Marilyn Monroe expression added to her body one year after she re-created Monroe’s 1962 photo shoot for the New York Magazine. Today, many are unsure if Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy photos are an better than that New York Magazine spread.

Lohan said at the time that Monroe was a “prime example of what this industry can do to someone.” Lohan also said that she would never pose for Playboy. She also told news that the industry misunderstood her like Monroe.

The Lindsay Lohan Playboy January 2012 issue will feature Lohan in ten pictures. In each photo, Lohan is unclothed, sitting on a red satin sheet. Her poses are classical, not contemporary. But the alterations in airbrushing are the most notable changes. Editors have reduced Lohan’s body hue to match both her (even heavily powdered) face and hair. In essence, viewers get only two hues – Lohan’s cream skin and matching hair, juxtaposed to the red backdrop and matching lips.

In many of the poses, Lohan’s mouth is closed.  Ironically, also gone is her “breath” tattoo.  Lohan and Playboy have confirmed to news her only press appearance for the shoot will be ELLEN next week. But in 2007, she first broke news about the breath tattoo to Ellen. Ellen asked her the reason for the tattoo. Lohan responded “I forget to breathe sometimes. This is my favorite one [tattoo]. It’s white ink,” she said. Gone also is “shh”, the notable tattoo she shares with Lily Allen and Rihanna.

But the tattoo that has been removed by Playboy for conjuring up more memories of Casey Anthony than Marilyn Monroe is Lohan’s “La Bella Vita” tattoo.

Lohan’s La Bella Vita tattoo was not in tribute to herself. It was in tribute to her grandfather who died the year before. At his funeral, Lindsay Lohan read a poem in Italian by the same name. Six months after her grandfather’s death, Lohan went to a New Orleans tattoo parlor and had the tattoo done.

The La Bella Vita tattoo played into the State’s assertion about Casey Anthony’s alleged conduct. During their June trial, the State, just before its final witness Cindy Anthony, brought up the Bella Vita with the tattoo parlor owner. The implication the State was trying to make is that the “beautiful life” was Casey’s life, not Caylee’s life, that Casey was celebrating her newly found freedom from parenting because she had successfully murdered her daughter.

Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy January 2012 issue hits newsstands next week. The issue will feature Lohan in ten pictures along with an accompanying news interview.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE EXCLUSIVE) – A release date of Lindsay Lohan Playboy photos was first reported on LALATE as possibly  December 9, 2011. But Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy pics would instead by given an “official” release date of December 15. LALATE questioned if that would ultimately be the first date that fans would see Lohan’s Playboy photos. Suddenly, roughly a day after release date announcement, Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy cover photo “accidentally” leaked online. Now many are unsure if marketing elements were at play, and whether this will impact interest in the photo spread.

Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy photos might be a new endeavor for the troubled actress. But Playboy has been releasing celebrity-filled January issues for years. As a result, it was easy to anticipate when Lindsay Lohan’s January 2012 issue would be released to news based upon the history of the magazine’s public relations campaigns for previous January issues.

Earlier this year, LALATE reported that the key to Lohan’s Playboy January 2012 issue is last year’s Pamela Anderson January 2011 issue. This fall, Playboy and Lohan would not divulge to news the release date of her photos. But then, in November, LALATE exclusively reported that Playboy will probably have to release the first round of pictures to news on or around December 9.

Playboy’s January issue never hit newsstands in January. They arrive in late December. Typically, Playboy has released a cover photo for the January issue around December 9 and then a second round of photos a week later. The magazine did the same for Pamela Anderson last year.

So in November, LALATE first reported news that fans should undoubtedly expect the first photo or photos of Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy shoot to arrive digitally around December 9. Playboy typically would issue a cover photo and perhaps one other photo digitally to news sites that first week and then more the following week.

After that report, suddenly Playboy and the ELLEN show claimed that the talk show host would debut the photos. The date was peculiar and the assertion was even stranger. ELLEN claimed that during its daytime timeslot of December 15 it would reveal to American household the first images from Playboy photos shoot.

Immediately questions peculated. How does on debut Playboy photos during a daytime television show without running afoul of the FCC? Would viewers be shown only redacted images, or would Lohan just debut a cleaned up cover photo and nothing else?

But the other issue was the date itself. Lohan was said to debut the pictures to ELLEN on December 15 while the issue would hit newsstands that same day. But, in recent memory, Playboy, rarely, if ever, releases the first images of an issue exactly the day it ships to newsstands. So was December 15 really anticipated to be the release date? (Update 12/9 the photos have been released.)

“Lindsay has agreed to do one media interview during the on-sale period of her issue, and has chosen Ellen,” the rep said earlier this week. “Lindsay will not be doing any additional interviews to promote her pictorial.”

Suddenly, today, the “leaked” cover photo (located HERE) was released online.  Immediately, the reaction to the cover was mixed, at best. Insiders and Lohan reps had promised a “tasteful”, even innovative look for Lohan that evoked notions of Marilyn Monroe. Lohan rather on the cover photo leaked today is simply sitting on a backwards chair with not much styling whatsoever and lots of possible airbrushing.

Typically, the magazine releases the cover photo first as a teaser to entice prospective buyers to purchase the issue. But with a cover drawing such news media frenzy today because of its “leak”,  sales could be much higher than anticipated.

While Playboy might have promised the official debut for the ELLEN show, if more leaks surface in the next seven days, the publication may have to reconsider pre-releasing pictures in advance of that telecast. It remains unknown if Playboy might move the December 15 release date if the leaks continue.

For now, we do know that Lindsay Lohan did approve of this Playboy photo cover. Her mother recently told news that Lohan will chose five possible cover options and Hugh Hefner will pick the final one. “I’ve seen [the photos],” Dina added. “She’s really great in front of the camera.”

Dina Lohan says the photos are in tribute to a famous Tom Kelly shoot. “It’s a classic tribute inspired by the original Tom Kelly … pictorial of Marilyn Monroe, a portion of which was the original playmate in the very first issue of Playboy.” She added “The pictorial is absolutely fantastic and very tasteful, and will be accompanied by an interview that will let readers see another side of Lindsay.” For now, the official newsstand release date remains December 15, 2011 for the January, 2012 Playboy issue.

Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy January 2012 issue arrives on newsstands in the coming weeks. Typically, Playboy releases the January print issue in advance of its publication month. But when are the first images in digital preview released to news? The answer rests with Pamela Anderson, LALATE can report.

Lindsay Lohan’s January 2012 follows in the footsteps of Pamela Anderson’s January 2011 issue. By at least December 9, 2010, Playboy released to news the cover photo of  Pamela Anderson’s January 2011 issue. Then, days later, on roughly December 15, 2010, Playboy released to news two additional pictures of Anderson from inside the issue, along with two pages of Anderson’s article.

Unless Playboy departs from its timing used previously, fans should expect to see the cover photo for Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy issue by roughly December 9, 2011. Fans may also see a second round of additional images roughly a week later. (Update 12/9 the photos have been released.)

Anderson’s issue made news as a record thirteenth cover for the TV actress. It also featured a poem written by Anderson. In contrast, this is Lohan’s first shoot for Playboy after years of denying alleged offers from the publication. The issue also follows years of Lohan claiming that critics fail to take her seriously. “The tabloids don’t give you a chance. They don’t want to know who you are inside. If everything’s OK with you, who wants to hear about it? I believe in myself and I’m a good actress.”

Recently Lindsay Lohan made news by being named Ad.ly’s “biggest actress influencer”. Lohan said of the news “thank you… that’s such an honor.” It’s Lohan’s most notable award of the year. Lohan was nominated for the Teen Choice Awards three consecutive years from 2004 to 2007; she last won in 2004 for Mean Girls. The same role earned her an MTV Movie Award the following year.

On the music front, Lohan has yet to release a new album since the 2005 hit A Little More Personal (Raw). The album drew mixed reviews. Sal Cinquemani of Slant Magazine said the album was “more consistent than its predecessor, and it’s not a bad listen by any means.” He added “but for all the so-called weighty subject matter, there’s not much meat on these bones”.

The album eventually went to Gold in the US and Taiwan and reached twentieth position on the U.S. Billboard.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – When the Lindsay Lohan Playboy pictures debut this December 2011, the photos were be a stark contrast to everything Lohan has projected about herself to date. Lindsay Lohan Playboy photos have been the subject of debate since 2004. At the time, news asked Lohan if reports of offers from Playboy were correct. Now nearly eight years later, and after countless denials of appearing in the publication, Lohan has finally agreed to do Playboy pictures.

But why? The reason behind Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy photos remains as much a mystery as the photo shoot itself. Throughout much of her career, Lohan has not only declined Playboy photo spreads but also been vocal about how such a pictures spread would hurt her career. Her previous statements to news are in contrast to her decision to do the photo shoot now.

The irony doesn’t end there. Lohan has appeared previously unclothed in 2008 for New York Magazine. After appearing in that spread as Marilyn Monroe, Lohan told news she would never do it again, nor appear as Monroe ever again in a magazine. Months later, Lohan (clothed) appeared as Monroe for another publication.

So why is Lohan posing for Playboy pictures now? On December 20, 2004, Lohan told news “I’m not doing Playboy, no. Never. They contacted my publicist and they asked if I would do their 20 questions spread, which is not an … [unclothed] photo that they do with it. It’s a regular photo. But I do have a Disney movie coming out and a young fan base and I’m not interested in doing Playboy right now in my life.”

Is the lack of a Disney movie the reason why Lohan has changed her mind? In fact, Lohan has virtually no film nor music projects confirmed, hence causing no conflict with studio interests.

And yet Lohan has often told news about her interest in Playboy, just not appearing in its pages. “I have this Playboy book called ‘Redheads’, and I was reading all these things about how redheads are more passionate and apparently they’re much more [active] than girls with other hair colors. I think I’m more [active] than my friends. More comfortable in my skin. I’m a[n active] person, definitely.”

Lohan film salaries have dried up. Her last major paycheck was Georgia Rule for $7.5 million. She got paid the same for Just My Luck the year before. Lohan has improved her salary base from $550,000 in Freak Friday in 2003 following her success (and one million dollar paycheck) in Mean Girls in 2004.

Many insiders believe Lohan is doing Playboy more for the money than to help her career. Lohan’s music career is essential dead at the moment, her film career is floundering. But the biggest problem for Lohan has been the appearance of being a mess-up, not an actor. It remains unclear how appearing in Playboy, following the footsteps of other party girls like Tara Reid, will help Lohan.

Lohan has previously told news that her image is perhaps the most embattled part of her career. “I want to act like a woman rather than a teenager. I am doing the best I can. It was hard surrendering and having people tell me what to do. It was really humbling for me, but I liked how I was treated as a normal person.”

She once told fans “I just want to apologize to any of my fans that look up to me, especially my younger fans, for setting the examples that I didn’t mean to set. That is one of the reasons that I want to change things. I don’t want to be known as that person. I have a younger sister and she looks up to me, too. All the negative stuff that gets said hurts my feelings, it hurts my sister, Ali, and my family.”

Lohan has yet to tells news why she is posing for the pictures. Her salary is estimated to be roughly $750,000 for the shoot.
