LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – While reports of Beyonce’s due date surfaced yesterday, the news came just weeks after Jay-Z told press of changes to his Watch the Throne Tour dates. On August 2, 2011, Jay-Z told news that demand for his Watch The Tour had prompted concert date changes. But at that time, there was no explanation why certain cities dropped from the tour weren’t added later on. So why wasn’t the tour extended into January? As reported on Monday, Beyonce’s due date is in February.

Jay-Z and Beyonce are reportedly hoping for a baby boy. The due date is sometime in February 2012. Jay-Z wraps up his rescheduled Watch the Tour just weeks earlier on December 18. His final stop is Vancouver, British Columbia.

At the time when the tour was been reworked, Jay-Z made no mention of Beyonce’s pregnancy. He told Angie Martinez just several days ago “That’s an old list we had to push that back, because it was like, we tried to put it out in pre-order and all the lines got jammed”.

He added “We pushed it back to really route it and put other dates on there. We’ll probably put four New York dates there instead.” He said “all the [telephone] lines got jammed”. Kelly Rowland told news this week that Beyonce has been pregnant for several months.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Beyonce’s baby due date is revealed hours after Beyonce confirmed she is pregnant. Beyonce’s baby due date will be February 2012 claims news. (An initial report that Beyonce’s due date is April 2012 has been confirmed as erroneous.) Today two news reports and a statement by Kelly Rowland all point to a February 2012 birth. Moreover Beyonce and Jay-Z are reportedly hoping for, and possibly anticipating, a baby boy.

Last night, Beyonce surprised news photographers when she showed up to the 2011 MTV VMAs very pregnant. Beyonce was wearing a stunning lose fitting gown. Later, Kelly Rowland told US Weekly that Beyonce has been pregnant “for quite a while”. “I think she’ll be an incredible mother, because she’s always been motherly,” Kelly Rowland told the newspaper. “She takes so many traits from her mother, and I just think it’s going to be so natural for her. It’s natural for her now!”

On Monday, one report claimed that Beyonce is already in her third month of pregnancy. The report claims that Beyonce was reluctant at first to make the news announcement but couldn’t hold in the excitement. A second report confirms that Beyonce’s due date is February 2012. It adds that the couple is hoping for a baby boy.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Birdman says Watch the Throne is music for older people, like Ye and Jay. Birdman (Bryan Williams) says that Watch The Throne, the last album from Kanye West and Jay-Z, sounds like older music written by old musicians, on their way out of the business. The peculiar comments come just weeks before Lil Wayne is set to drop Tha Carter IV on August 29. But Birdman says that Lil Wayne and Drake may team up to do a collaborative album in the future themselves.

Birdman remarks were recently issued to XXL Magazine. Birdman said when he heard Watch the Throne he was not so impressed. “It’s older versus younger. I listened to a few songs [off Watch the Throne], and it feels like an older feel to me. I think with Drake and Wayne, they young, they young cats.” Yet,  Birdman is 42 years old, Lil Wayne is 28, Drake is 24. Kanye is 34, and Jay-Z is 41.

Birdman added “You got 23 and 28 [with Drake and Lil Wayne]. Then you got Jay-Z and them, who are older and really on their way out the game.” He is not clear who is “them” (since Kanye is only 34). Birdman then remarked “Then you got Wayne and Drake and them, who are still youthful to the game. So it’s two different types of music all the way across the board.” Six years in age difference between Kanye and Lil Wayne makes a difference in their music? Apparently according to Birdman.

Birdman says Watch the Throne is good for business. But he adds that Wayne Drake project will be far more successful. “But what they’re doing is great. I think it’s great for the game, great for the business, great for retail as a whole. I just think when Wayne and Drake get together, [it's] going to be something real special also because we more youthful.”

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The premiere of “Otis”, the music video from “Watch The Throne”, will give Jersey Shore its biggest possible music lead-in of the month, if not the season. Otis’ music video makes its world premiere tonight across MTV channels, and in conjunction with a new episode of Jersey Shore. Could tonight’s Jersey Shore ratings eclipse last week’s record numbers? If anyone could do it, it would be Kanye West and Jay-Z.

Marketing precision has been at play with this week’s deployment of Watch the Throne. An album designed by Givenchy Creative Director Riccardo Tisci, a cover even wrapped in embossed gold Mylar, coupled with incredible tracks, have helped “Watch The Throne” captivate the nation’s attention this week. Now, tonight, Kanye West will debut what he calls “luxury wrap”, the music video for Otis.

After an initial preview video clip (see below) debuted online this week, critics gave praise to both the album and Otis. Riccardo Tisci designed the single art for Otis as well; the music video was directed by Spike Jonze. Some fans are most excited about New Day, others about Gotta Have It, the Neptunes-produced track. LALATE has embraced Beyonce’s single “Lift Off”.

And while Jersey Shore airs a new episode on MTV tonight at 9 PM EST, Otis will debut Thursday night on MTV at 8:56 PM EST/PST and also on MTV2, MTU, and BET.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Jay-Z and Kanye West tell news today that the “Otis” music video will debut on MTV Thursday. For Jay-Z this is the latest in news development for Watch the Thrown within the last twenty-four hours. In fact, the two rappers, music analysts, and news critics will team up for an MTV News special tonight covering Watch the Throne.

After days of disputed news reports claiming that The Throne was battling in-fighting, the last twenty-four hours has shown an artfully crafted media assault for the album, tour, and its singles. Moments ago, Kanye released to fans an exclusive “Otis” teaser video clip (see below) in advance of the official video premiere.

Thursday night MTV at 8:56 PM will debut OTIS. The cabler will also deploy the premiere across MTV2 and MTU simultaneously, while BET will do the same. In a news statement today, Roc Nation says that the single is “built upon a sample of “Try a Little Tenderness” by Otis Redding”. The album has already gone to number one in iTunes in 23 countries.

This afternoon MTV news “will feature special commentary from industry experts on Watch the Throne”. In addition to appearances by Kanye and Jay-Z tomorrow, along with fan reaction, the cabler will pull “viewer/expert anticipation and reaction on MTV News, pop-culture commentary on MTV Buzzworthy and expert fashion analysis on MTV Style, as well as video blocks throughout the day on mtvU, MTV Jams and MTV Hits” says Roc Nation’s statement to news. The album features RZA, Q-Tip and Beyonce’s single “Lift Off”
