VIDEO! Watch video of Travis Barker’s first interview since that plane crash. Travis Barker gives MTV TRL his first interview in this new video since that plane crash that killed four. The former Blink 182 drummer spoke on TRL’s finale last night via satellite.

Barker told MTV:

“Thanks for all the support, and this is really exciting to be a part of this show… I feel better every day.”

Barker says he’s getting back to his drum. “I’m thankful to be able to play.”

I want to give my deepest thanks to everyone who has helped deal with the current situation. First and foremost, Chris and Che were my friends. I would give up anything to have them here with us today, healthy and happy. To call them my employees does them such a disservice, as they were so much more than that. Chris was my best friend before anything else, and I can never put into words how much he will be missed. Che was an amazing person as well, and I was honored to have him in my life.

I am simply amazed and will be forever grateful for all the support everyone has shown to Chris and Che’s families. Its a testament to how many lives they touched in a positive way.

Hospital Life!

Like the doctors said from the beginning, its been a slow recovery process. I am coming up on the 7th of my surgeries Monday. Today I finally was able to move all my fingers on my right hand. Every step seems huge at this point, and Im doing EVERYTHING I can possibly do to get back to my kids. Yes, I did start eating meat again, but if it helps me to be home holding my little humans sooner, then its all worth it. The staff here are all bomb! Dr. Grossman and his staff are the best. The BOSS Barbara, and nurses Betty, Jay , Emily, Julio, Lolita, and Stephanie (with the best scrubs ever!) are all taking the best care of me.

My good friend Armen has been kind enough to save me from the hospital food, and brings Jamba Juice, Wahoos, or whatever else I need to keep my calories and protein levels high.

Despite any rumors you might have heard via my EX-wife Shanna Moakler, who I have not seen since the week I checked in, Ive been treated amazingly well, both here in LA and in Georgia. The hospitals Ive been treated at are THE BEST.

My friends and family have been amazing. My pops has been with me ANY time I need him. My sisters, James, Skinhead Rob, Daniel, Hoover, Armen and of course Ricardo and Nicole, have all shown amazing support. JD and Mark Hoppus both took the time to come visit and offer their support as well. Estevan Oriol even came in with a calendar.

Saying “thank you” to all these guys just wouldn’t be enough…

I got to see AM the other day. Seeing him after he was discharged was an inspiration. I saw just how awesome the doctors’ work here is, and got to see how well he is doing. I am so happy to see him doing well, and we are both so lucky and grateful that we are alive today.

Im even using some of this time to help design the summer ‘09 Famous line. Maxx, Jose, Bill have been awesome helping to keep the machine going. These are some seriously dedicated people, and Im lucky to call them friends.

Now Im just counting the days until I can leave. I cant wait to get home to play drums with my son, and go for bike rides with my daughter. I cant wait to see the pictures from Landon’s “Jack and Sally Nightmare Before Christmas” birthday party that we had for him today. I am bummed that I couldn’t be there, but thank God Ill be around to see many, many more.

VIDEO! Travis Barker release! Travis Barker has been released from the hospital. Barker was released from the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.

Barker is on route back to Los Angeles where Travis lives. Barker’s rep says he is on a bus and will not travel by air, not now, and not ever again.

DJ AM was released several days ago.

WONDERFUL NEWS! LALATE’s fav DJ Am has been released! DJ AM (Adam Michael Goldstein) release was following that Travis Barker DJ AM plane crash that left 4 dead, broke first here on LALATE.

“While he is deeply saddened by the events, he is thankful for all of the love and support he has been receiving from fans and friends worldwide,” says rep Jenni Weinman in a statement. “We ask that you continue to respect his privacy as he rests and heals and mourns the loss of his friends.”

Jermaine Dupri says that friend Travis Barker is expected to be released in two weeks.

Singer, former girlfriend, Mandy Moore has joined DJ AM crash bedside following his plane flight. Adam Michael Goldstein has been joined by Mandy Moore following his plane crash that left him burned and hospitalized at an Augusta, Georgia hospital, as detailed over the weekend extensively here on LALATE.

Mandy Moore and DJ AM use to date and called it quits in 2007. Even then Moore said she was unhappy about dating in the public eye.

In January 2007, Moore, 22, started dating Goldstein, 33. By February, Moore said “I don’t enjoy dating in the public eye. I don’t even really enjoy dating.”

By summer the two confirmed a mutual split but remained visible together in the public eye.

As updated on Sunday, Adam is expected to make a full recovery and be discharged in a few weeks. Despite incorrect reports first surfaced, the extent to AM’s burns are limited to an arm and head. He suffered no other bodily injuries from the fatal flight that left 4 dead.

Chris (”Lil Chris”) Baker’s wife was not pregnant, and not in labor, and the private jet was not requested for Baker to see his wife, says reps for DJ AM today. Funeral arrangements for Baker have not yet been announced.

Explanation about Chris Baker’s wife and the reason for a private jet are in the below issued statement from reps for Adam Goldstein.

“In regards to [inaccurate reports], Lil Chris Baker did not ask for a jet to meet his wife in delivery because she’s not even pregnant. A private jet had always been chartered as DJ AM had a private engagement today in Los Angeles.”

Reports on TMZ Saturday since corrected claimed that Travis Barker had ordered a private jet for Chris Baker to get back and see his pregnant wife going into labor. At E! Entertainment, Kris Kardashian (Kim Kardashian’s mother) told the network - that aires their reality show - that Baker’s wife was in labor. “Kris Jenner, whose daughter Kim is a close friend of Barker’s, told E! News today that she had heard that Baker’s wife was in labor this morning”. That E! story still remains not corrected as of noon PST Sunday.

Baker was one of four that sadly died in this horrific plane crash around midnight Friday night following a T-Mobile charity event. Baker was a resident of Los Angeles’ Studio City. Many who went to school with Baker or worked with him here in Los Angeles have been posting their condolences Sunday.

As reported Sunday morning here, DJ AM and Travis Barker are expected to make a full recovery. The two are currently hospitalized at a burn center 75 miles from the crash location. The hospital said Sunday that Barker and AM will be released in several weeks.

LALATE has the update on DJ AM Adam Michael Goldstein. The update on DJ AM after that plane crash that left him and Travis Barker hospitalized is good.

Adam Michael Goldstein is expected to make a full recovery too!

Dr. Fred Mullins, medical director of the Joseph M. Still Burn Center where AM and Barker currently are, said the two only had burn injuries and are expected to make a complete recovery.

“Anybody who can survive a plane crash is pretty lucky,” Mullins told reporters during a news conference Sunday morning.

AM is burned on his arm and head. Initial reports that AM was burned on his face are now apparently false. Reports now indicate that AM suffered second- and third-degree burns and could be released in a few weeks from the Joseph Still Burn Center in Augusta, Georgia where he and Barker have been since Saturday morning.

Barker and DJ AM recently collaborated on a mixtape titled, “Fix Your Face.”

A rep for DJ AM has also issued a statement in response to the false TMZ and E! story that a private jet was requested because Chris Baker’s wife was in labor. That story up next.
