Will Tiger Woods announce a divorce from wife Elin Woods today? Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren Woods divorce questions swirl as Elin is not confirmed to appear at Tiger’s morning press conference.

But will she?

In Tiger Woods’ email announcement about today’s press conference arrangements, he mentions close friends and family will be present. Press are now questioning if Elin Nordegren Woods will or won’t be present, whether Tiger Woods will - or even should - discuss marital issues, and if he does will it be regarding a reconciliation or a divorce with Elin.

Net reaction is relatively consistent the last few days on the subject. Most contend Tiger Woods should not speak about his marriage at the press conference, rather simply about professional issues like a return or break from the PGA Tour.

In fall 2009, British and U.S. press swirled divorce reports only in weeks later to settle into reconciliation stories. For example, PEOPLE reported then that Elin only plans to leave Tiger in the future “She plans to leave Tiger… She’s made up her mind. There’s nothing to think about: he’s never going to change.”

Other reports claimed the two have already split, with Elin indicating already she will seek a divorce. All such reports of a divorce are in stark contrast to a statement by Tiger Woods that he was working on his marriage.

The London mirror reported that Elin will seek a divorce in California. The report says her attorney of interest is Sorrell Trope.

MSNBC said the couple have already separated.“She and Tiger are living separately now”. News of the World exclusive report said Elin has already told Tiger the divorce is looming.

Ironically in the weeks that followed, at least one of Woods divorce British publications was sued by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie for claiming they too were set to divorce. The publication claimed Jolie was using the same divorce attorney often mentioned in Elin Woods stories just weeks before.
