With over a 100 naked photos of himself online in 2008 from the scandal, Chen – a top music and film star in Asia – saw his career crash and burn in Hong Kong, resulting in him reportedly returning to Canada.
Today Hong Kong actor and singer Cecilia Cheung pictured in the Chen scandal is speaking out, nearly a year after the scandal pictures hit the internet.
Cheung says of Chen:
“He has never apologised to us personally. He should at least have called us to say sorry if he genuinely admitted his mistake…. The photos are still circulating online. How can we live a healthy and happy life? How can we put ourselves back on our feet?”
“You should not have come out (now)… saying one thing but doing another in a bid to win the public’s forgiveness whilst hurting us.”
Also featured in the 2008 photos were Gillian Chung and Bobo Chan.
