ST LOUIS (LALATE ) – Donna Savattere (photos below), Dan Marino’s former mistress, had Marino’s love child during his cheating on wife Claire Marino. Donna Savattere had a Dan Marino affair during the QB’s marriage to Claire and while Savattere and Marino worked at CBS News. At the time of the cheating affair scandal, Donna Savattere worked as a CBS Sports production assistant. Marino and Savattere had a daughter, Chloe.
The Donna Savattere, the former Dan Marino mistress, met the QB while the two worked at CBS Sports’ news division, claims the NY Post today. Marino confirmed the affair late yesterday. The mistress affair cheating scandal erupted in roughly 2004 when Donna serviced as a production assistant near Marion. At the time, Marino was appearing on-camera for CBS Sports. He had been hired one year earlier as a pregame analyst.
The affair reportedly latest for approximately one year. By 2005, the CBS Sports’ Manhattan studio production assistant was pregnant with the former QB’s baby. In June 2005, she welcome Marino’s daughter, Chloe.
The Post claims that Marino and his mistress kept the affair quiet from executives. As news of the scandal was breaking in the Post, Marino issued a statement confirming the affair this week. “This is a personal and private matter. I take full responsibility both personally and financially for my actions now as I did then. We mutually agreed to keep our arrangement private to protect all parties involved.”
He also tells news “My wife and I have been married for almost 30 years and have six children together. And we continue to be a strong and loving family.” Marino remained married to his wife during the affair. In fact, his daughter was born two months before he was inducted into the hall of Fame. Donna
eventually married Nahill Younis in 2009. She has yet to comment about today’s report.
