NEW YORK (LALATE) – Miyoki (photos below) is identified as the Diddy model whose hair caught on fire. Miyoki was hired to model for a Diddy party in New York this week. Now Diddy and the hotel have launched their own investigation into what went wrong, all caught on video.

Reportedly Miyoki is a 21-year old model and resident of New York City who entered modeling at age 15. Miyoki, who is Puerto Rican, African and Filipina, was hired to model for a Diddy New York party this week with 20 attendees.

The event was held at the penthouse of the New York “London Hotel”. To promote his new album “Last Train to Paris”, Diddy invited 20 people. But the New York Post reports 180 people crashed the party.

The event was live streamed online by Ustream. Shortly into the video, panic erupts.

During the event – that boasted guests like Chris Brown and Usher – the camera cuts to Miyoki who is near a bathtub. Miyoki reportedly leans back and her hair catches on fire from candles behind her.

Thinking quickly, Miyoki dunks her head in water and puts out the flame. Diddy’s host Kevin Hart doesn’t react to the model’s safety initially but if the footage was captured on tape. “Did the camera catch that? Did the camera catch that?”

Promptly, New York Fire arrived at the suite. Fire officials later departed the posh hotel. Today, NYFD is not commenting on the matter. The Post claims that Diddy has been banned from the hotel; TMZ reports that hotel is still investigating the matter.

Diddy and Miyoki have yet to issue a statement about the matter.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – ABC News used “Diddy’s Maybach for Son” story as a Fathers Day story only Diddy could create.

On Friday night, Nightline’s Martin Bashir interview with Diddy aired. While it seemed like it was going to promote Diddy’s new movie Get Him To The Greek, it turned into a Father’s Day story about questionable parenting.

Bashir asked Diddy if he was a good dad; Diddy said his kids “deserved more (of his) personal time.” Bashir added that Diddy has six kids from multiple women, a statement which Diddy responded to by saying “All of my kids are taken care of. They all go to the best schools. But you don’t live with them.”

Bashir then asked the obvious question “Do you think it was appropriate to buy your 16-year-old son a Maybach car worth almost $400,000?”

Diddy at this point did a one strategy approach – claim it’s a private matter. “I feel the way I raise my children, you know, I don’t have to explain to you or anybody else because nobody knows the way I raise my children.” Only problem – Diddy gave the gift on a reality tv show for VH-1 – My Super Sweet 16. The show put that car and its gift to son Justin at front and center. Now Diddy doesn’t want to discuss it. Ironic?

“It’s what I wanted to do. I can do whatever I want to do with my children. And you can’t question me about it. Nobody can question me about what I do with my children.”

Misa Hylton Brim is the mother of Diddy’s son Justin. Misa Hylton Brim and Diddy celebrated Justin’s 16th birthday, along with 1000 friends, for the MTV show Super Sweet Sixteen.

And what did Diddy give Justin. Oh, you’ve heard? Yes, a $360,000 Maybach.

Cra-ZY. Also in attendance – Jay-Z, Nelly and Denzel Washington with performances from Trey Songz, Chris Brown and more. Others showing up were Snoop Dogg, the money man himself Floyd Mayweather and Lil’ Kim.

Rapper Shyne’s prison release is today. Shyne (Jamal Barrow) will be released from prison Tuesday following a conviction of Diddy / J Lo 1999 club shooting.

While in prison, Shyne released two albums including Godfather Buried Alive (2004). Shyne in 2001 was sentenced to 10 years for the infamous 1999 event attended by then couple Combs and Lopez.

Diddy recently told Hot 97 about his excitement over Shyne’s release.

“It’s a blessing that [Shyne's] coming home I spoke to him like a couple of weeks ago and he sounded like he was in good spirits. I know he can’t wait to get home. I know he is definitely going to heat the whole scene up. He was definitely one of talented young artists that I had the pleasure to work with. I’m quite sure he’s been using his time wisely and has some heat.”
