Dee Jay Daniels, DL Hughley Actor, Arrested: REPORT
LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Dee Jay Daniels (real name Dorjan Lyndell Daniels) has been arrested for murder, claims a new report. Stockton Police arrested Dorjan Lyndell Daniels, Djuane Nunly, and Marcus Daniel McCliman in August 2011. At the time Police confirmed that Dorjan Lyndell Daniels, then 24, was charged with murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and gang enhancement.
But today, MediaTakeOut is reporting that this is the same Dorjan Lyndell Daniels that appeared in the Michael Hughley on D.L. Hughley’s sitcom, The Hughleys. Dee Jay has since appeared in other shows like Grace Under Fire, the Wayans Brothers, and In the House. Dee Jay also ironically appeared in the CBS police drama, Cold Case.
When the original news story erupted in August 2011, none of the reports made the association now purported by Media Take Out. Police arrested Dorjan Lyndell Daniels following the stabbing death of a 26 year old male exiting Chivitas nightclub. Daniels then was listed as a resident of Fontana, California.
KXTV at the time did not make the link to the TV sitcom. But the news station indicated police belief about Dorjan Lyndell Daniels. “Stockton Police said the suspects are out-of-town gang members and the attack was fueled by a feud between Crypts and Bloods.” KXTV has yet to update the case since breaking news of the arrest in 2011.
