LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – David Spade is not dead. Spade wasn’t snowboarding in Switzerland today, and certainly didn’t die in Zermatt either. But a fabricated death tale about Spade published today June 28, 2012 is confusing some fans and angering others. In it, the author falsely claims that the sitcom star fell after purportedly snowboarding in Switzerland.
For most fans, David Spade possesses a unique comic timing that is irreplaceable. But the fabricated death story being used against the comic today is hideously unoriginal. David Spade is being killed off today with the same false tale used against Arnold Schwarzenegger, Eddie Murphy, and even James Earl Jones. The same erroneous tale is even being used against celebrities who have been dead for several years, including Charles Bronson.
The culprit, MediaFetcher aka Global Associated is claiming that Charles Bronson and David Spade both died today snowboarding in Zermatt. Bronson, however, has been dead since 2003 while David Spade is very much alive.
Spade dazzles his fans with original new episodes of hit show Rules of Engagement, every Thursday night. But Global Associated is confusing fans with its unoriginal death story being used against Spade today.

“Witnesses indicate that David Spade lost control of his snowboard and struck a tree at a high rate of speed” claims the fabricated tale. The erroneous story adds “David Spade was air lifted by ski patrol teams to a local hospital; however, it is believed that the actor died instantly from the impact of the crash.”

In recent years, fabricated death stories have struck far more than just rappers and Disney pre-teen stars. Three years ago, fake death reports most often struck Nick Jonas, Miley Cyrus and Lil Wayne. But now, they are now striking even television and film actors. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Eddie Murphy, and James Earl Jones weren’t in Switzerland today, nor was David Spade.

In the end, if it’s Route 80, or Zermatt, it’s probably erroneous. Today’s fake report is simply a cut and paste job for Global. In October 2011, Adam Sandler made news after many fans fell for the same fake snowboarding story published about him by Global. Since then the story has been reused often, with other celebrities. But despite that, many fans each week have to battle the next round of Zermatt and Route 80 assaults.
