Ted Beckham, David Beckham's Dad, Pursues Lawsuit against News Group

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Ted Beckham, David Beckham’s dad, is allegedly pursuing a lawsuit against News Group Newspapers. Ted Beckham aka “David Edward Alan Beckham” will reportedly file a lawsuit stemming from the alleged invasion of cellphone devices  former newspaper News of the World. Beckham has obtained a “claim form” from the Royal Courts of Justice in London, asserts local news.

The Press Gazette reports that Beckham’s dad will join other public figures filing lawsuits including Cherie Blair and Jamie Theakston. Previous legal disputes with Jude Law and singer Charlotte Church have been allegedly settled.

In 2010, following the Irma Nici story published in In Touch Magazine, David Beckham made news, bringing two lawsuits, one in Germany and one in the U.S..

In U.S. courts, Judge Manuel L. Real ruled that In Touch did not act with malice. Beckham thereafter told news that he allegedly won in the German court. “Unfortunately, the U.S. legal system requires us to show that the magazine acted maliciously. Any knowledgeable person knows this story not to be true.”

Beckham had previously said of the Nici article (her photos HERE) that it was “completely untrue and totally ridiculous, as the magazine [In Touch] was clearly told before publication. Sadly we live in a world where a magazine can print lies and believe they can get away with it.”

PSG sporting director Leonardo told L’Equipe in a news article today “It’s over. It’s a shame…But the welfare of his family in LA, the wish not to change everything in his life, weighed heavily.”

David Beckham Christmas Card 2011 Prompts Leaked Scandal

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The David Beckham and Victoria Beckham leaked Christmas card 2011 is prompting a controversy today for British news. David Beckham authored a Christmas card 2011 featuring his sons for the Holidays, sitting in bed, shirtless. Beckham has no intentions of being another Kim Kardashian, Teresa Giudice, or Fergie, who all released their holiday card this week to news. For Beckham, the picture leaked online without authorization; reportedly the Beckhams are furious.

David Beckham reportedly sent the Beckham Christmas Card 2011 to select friends via normal mail. Then some of those “close friends” chose to scan the image and post it online. Since then, numerous news sites have chosen to pose the unauthorized picture, while others have stayed away from doing so.

Even British tabloid the Mirror is not releasing to news readers today. The company notes “This is possibly the best Christmas card we’ve seen this year – well it’s our own interpretation of it anyway, because we’re not allowed to show you the real McCoy.”

David Beckham’s clear evidence proved that this is without foundation.”

David Beckham Not Dead – Fabricated Death Reports Anger Fans

David Beckham Not Dead - Fabricated Death Reports Anger Fans

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – David Beckham is not dead. False death reports that David Beckham died in a car crash are angering fans today. David Beckham, however, now bares a unique similarity to David Guetta, and music greats DJ Tiesto and Armin Van Buren; all four celebrities have been victims of fake car crash stories the last two years.

Many fans were furious by fake reports of Beckham’s death today, others were left confused, while many thought – in the words of Yogi Berra – it’s déjà vu all over again. On July 31, a fake death report for David Guetta surfaced online; it falsely claimed he died in a Route 80 car crash. Guetta was killed off in the fake report just days after a similar Adam Sandler report. But unlike the comic falsely being reported death from a snowboarding accident, Guetta was killed off in a fabricated car crash story concerning Route 80.

The same bizarre tale has been used to trick fans in recent years with other celebrities. Even before Guetta’s report, DJ Tiesto, AVB and Beckham both were victims of fake death reports concerning Route 80, all generated by Global Associated News.

Today it remains unclear the source of the confusion about the fake Beckham death. But the same GAN report about Beckham remains online. The fabricated report claims “Memorial services for David Beckham have not yet been announced. The service is expected to be a closed casket funeral due to the severe head trauma.” The report claims further details will be released “as they become available”. They won’t be coming available because Beckham isn’t dead.

In recent months, the means by which false celebrity death reports have surfaced have become more disturbing. As to timing, when one celebrity dies, immediate false celebrity death reports claim another elderly celebrity has passed. As to means, many of the fake reports have utilized very elaborate technologies to trick fans. In some cases they have lifted the entire templates or logos of news sites to portray their tale about the celebrity’s death. In some cases, they have even set up entire Facebook accounts to falsely report a celebrity is dead.

The proliferation of this disturbing trend has additionally widened across other industries. Now, sports celebrities, film stars, and even TV stars are frequent victims of these mythical car crashes and snowboarding accidents. Lil Wayne isn’t dead, nor is Miley Cyrus, and nor is David Beckham. But until the fascination with tricking fans has ended, fake celebrity deaths are expected to continue.

Beckham last made news in July after he faced Ronaldo and Real Madrid here in Los Angeles for the World Football Challenge. Beckham said he is fond of his final 2007 year with Real Madrid. In advance of that game, he told news “I remember my first year playing with Zidane, Ronaldo, Raul, Figo and Roberto Carlos very well. My last year when we won the League was great too.”
