David Beckham Staying with LA Galaxy, Paris Saint-Germain Deal Dead

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – David Beckham is staying with the LA Galaxy, and a Paris Saint-Germain deal is dead, reports French news today. Paris Saint-Germain had pursued David Beckham who reportedly was interested. But now, David Beckham has cited his family as the reason he doesn’t want to move again and remain in Los Angeles. The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star appeared to be ready to make the move again. But with his children now older and happy in Los Angeles, Beckham decided to remain in Los Angeles.
Meetings with his family and business partner Simon Fuller reportedly ended with Beckham making the decision in favor of family over career. Reportedly the family’s four children did not want to leave Los Angeles.
Beckham last made news in July after he faced Ronaldo and Real Madrid here in Los Angeles for the World Football Challenge. Beckham said he is fond of his final 2007 year with Real Madrid. In advance of that game, he told news “I remember my first year playing with Zidane, Ronaldo, Raul, Figo and Roberto Carlos very well. My last year when we won the League was great too.”
Beckham is not currently under contract but will sign a one year renewal deal with MLS and the Galaxy in the coming days. PSG sporting director Leonardo told L’Equipe in a news article today “It’s over. It’s a shame…But the welfare of his family in LA, the wish not to change everything in his life, weighed heavily.”
