David Archuleta’s father, James Jeffrey “Jeff” Archuleta, handed an arrest at a massage parlor! Jeff Archuleta was arrested for soliciting prostitution at a Reiki massage parlor.
The massage parlor was in Midvale, Utah. The incident was reportedly January 14, 2009. But tonight the details are first being revealed by local Utah press.
Midvale Police Sergeant John Salazar tell Fox six of his officers stormed the backroom of the parlor before the arrest was handed:
“Two of our detectives went back to that room to stop the activity. Inside they found a female masseuse and male client. At that time an interview ensued and the male client admitted to receiving sexual gratification from the masseuse.”
Reports say the man was David Archuleta’s dad. Jeff Archuleta’s lawyer denies his client confessed to the crime, as police claim, and contends he was “in the wrong place at the wrong time”.
But Jeff Archuleta has since reportedly entered a plea of no contest with his lawyer spinning it saying the plea “is just saying I don’t want to deal with it.”

David Archuleta has a hit with Crush. Archuleta’s first single CRUSH has premiered at number 2 on Billboard. And yes, David Cook’s “The Time of My Life” premiered at number 3.
“Crush” is the highest debuting single for an Idol contestant for a song not sung on the show. The only other nondebut single to reach 2 was Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone”.
But when it comes down to download numbers, Cook beats Archuleta. Cook’s “The Time of My Life” pulled in 236,000 its first week, Archuleta at 166,000 for “Crush.”
Cook still has one incredible record - his first having 11 of his songs hit the Hot 100 on SoundScan, more than Miley Cyrus’ 6 and short of the Beatles 14 in 1964.

Brooke writes several weeks ago ”Don’t fret, my dears, David is one of my favorite people on the planet!!!. Rest assured, we all are all super-duper friends, like family, actually, enjoying this tour together.”
Brooke explains it’s a “technical issue” that prevented her from putting him in her top 8 last month.
“It’s been driving me crazy … and so after going on a search through hundreds of pages of friends … I still can’t find Archie’s official page … along with a few other Idol contestant friends of mine! In time, I will work it out, when I have few spare moments while on the road!

David Archuleta vs. David Cook on albums? Get ready. David Archuleta and David Cook’s new albums will drop the SAME DAY says a new report.
Both Davids on the same day? !
The Cook v. Archuleta album competition will heat up this November. Cook’s album is produced by Rob Cavallo (Green Day, Kid Rock, Eric Clapton). Cook has already been recording and co-writing tracks. Cook reports he will do 20 tracks, and cut the list down from there.
Says a new report, “While no specific release date, save for the month, has been announced for Cook’s debut, what is for sure is that this fall will mark yet another battle of the Davids, with Cook and Idol runner-up David Archuleta expected to drop their albums on the same day.”
