The funeral for Jennifer Hudson’s mom, brother, and nephew will be held on Monday morning in Chicago.

Location: Apostolic Church of God
Region: Chicago’s South Side
Details: Closed to Public.
Time: Not yet announced.

The church is the same location that Obamas attended for Father’s day in spring 2008.

William Balfour won’t take a polygraph! William Balfour has refused to take a polygraph lie detector test about the killings of Darnell Hudson Donerson, Jason Hudson, and Julian King.

Here is the latest just coming in.

Balfour, 27, tells police he is innocent but won’t take a polygraph to prove it. The news of Balfour’s refusal was leaked by a person close to the investigation to AP.

Today is Thursday and still no one has been charged in the death of the three Hudson / King family members. Balfour has not been charged.

But AP adds the following shocker line today:

“However, the official said police do not believe anyone else was involved in the killings.”

Reports AP: “It is possible that someone else drove the SUV with the boy’s body inside and parked it on the West Side, the official said, but Balfour is “the only suspect in the killings (and there is) nothing to link a second individual” to them.”

No official comment by the police was granted, due to the ongoing investigation of the crimes.

VIDEO! Watch video of Nancy Grace with William Balfour’s mother Michelle Davis Balfour. She says William Balfour didn’t kill anyone, that Jason Hudson was selling drugs, and that William Balfour was with his girlfriend when the killing happened.

“GRACE: Well, hold on. Before we get to him, what is your son`s alibi for the time of the shooting?

“BALFOUR: My son`s alibi was with one of his girlfriends, OK, one of the girls that he`s dating. They are — Julia and William were separated, but they were still together. Do you understand what I`m saying?

Then later in the interview, Nancy Grace goes back and asked about which girlfriend.

“GRACE: Yes. Well, let`s just get that straight. And I want to get something else straight about his alibi. You said he was with his girlfriend. What girlfriend?

“BALFOUR: Well, William has two girlfriends that I know of.

“GRACE: Well, which one?

“BALFOUR: I know — my oldest son, which is Raymond (ph), his brother, had told me he was with Diana (ph) that night and he was with Kate (ph) in the morning. Now, that`s what he had told me. My son told me this, OK? Now, if William did — let me explain this to you because I did get kind of (INAUDIBLE) If William did do this, right, in no means am I going to sugarcoat him and say my son didn`t do it. I know my son didn`t do this.”

Michelle Davis is very adamant her son did not commit any crime.

BREAKING NEWS – William Balfour had a JUNE drug arrest that should have put him behind bars months before the Hudson family murders. William Balfour had a drug arrest, enough for parole violation, that should have sent him back to jail in June, says a stunning new exclusive just announced moments ago by AP.

Balfour remains only a person of “interest” in the Hudson murders. He has not been charged.

But now shocking new evidence late tonight that says Balfour should have never been on the streets of Chicago this October, nor in the Hudson House in the first place, according to analysts.

Balfour is a convicted felon, the son of a convicted felon. He was out on parole this year when in June he was stopped by law enforcement. Inside his car they found drugs, crack cocaine.

Authorities should have revoked his parole and sent him back to prison. Right?

They didn’t. Why? Everyone wants to know that answer tonight.

A judge, yet unnamed by AP “dismissed the charge for lack of probable cause in July, but under the strict rules of the state’s parole program, William Balfour could have gone back to prison just for the arrest.”

So why wasn’t the man sent back to jail in July? How about we dismiss that judge from his job!

Balfour was on parole for attempted murder and vehicular hijacking. Back then, his original crime was horrific. He stole …. a Suburban …. and with the owner holding onto the top of the car intentionally ran it into a light pole.

So come June 19 this year, police found a street value of $100 of crack in his new vehicle. And why didn’t the court sent him back to jail?

“No probable cause”. Why? No indication from court documents.

But analysts interviewed by AP disagree, saying a mere arrest could have sent him back. One reason he may have not gone back to prison is jail overcrowding.

Julian King is dead. Jennifer Hudson’s nephew Julian King has been identified as the boy found dead. Julian King, Julia Hudson’s son, was found dead Monday morning in exactly the same vehicle for which an Amber Alert was issued on Friday. His death brings the tragic death toll for the Hudson King family to three.

Here is the latest.

On Friday, LALATE sadly broke the first reports online that Darnell Hudson Donerson, Jennifer and Julia Hudson’s mother, and Jason Hudson, their brother, were shot dead in Darnell’s home. From there, an Amber Alert was issued for Julia’s son, Julian King. A white 1990s suburban with a license plate was issued in a national amber alert.

Reports said that one of two of the victims showed injuries that would suggest a struggle had happened with the shooter.

Hours later, William Balfour, Julian’s step father, was taken in by police. Balfour was not arrested but become a witness for questioning. That caused Balfour to be taken by Department of Corrections since his status had now violated the terms of his probation.

Meantime, on Friday, Jennifer Hudson – who has and remains one of LALATE’s favorite celebrities ever – was en route from Tampa, where she resides now, to the Chicago.

By Friday evening, Michelle and Barack Obama, who live less than 4 miles away from the Hudson family, issued their thoughts. Obama had Hudson sing the national anthem at the DNC Convention this summer. That video is still up at LALATE2.

Monday morning, an Amber alert was canceled after the same Suburban was found in Chicago. Police then told press that the vehicle being sought was registered to Jason Hudson and was taken after his shooting. The vehicle located on Monday was in fact Jason Hudson’s SUV. Moments ago, police identified the body as Julian King. Jennifer Hudson is to formally identify him within the hour.

Julian Hudson was only 7 years old.

On a personal note, it’s very hard to write news like this because your heart wants to pour out love to the families while you wish, deep down, this was not how the search for Julian was going to end. This is a horrific, tragic end that leaves you asking … why?
