LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Brickleberry will be arriving from Tosh.O creator Daniel Tosh next year on Comedy Central, the network confirms Monday. Brickleberry is an animated series that Tosh will both star in and produce. In a news statement today, Comedy Central says it hopes to increase its programming slate with more show(s) from Tosh.
The first is Brickleberry. Comedy Central confirms to news that it has given Tosh a ten episode season commitment. The series will debut early next year. No premiere date is scheduled but production will start this fall.
Brickleberry will be executive produced by Tosh along with Waco O’Guin and Roger Black, the series’ creators. Tosh will also provide a voice to the series. Other casting has yet to be confirmed.
Tosh in a news statement today said “This is going to be on TV? I thought this was a comic strip?” Comedy Central’s head of original programming and production Kent Alterman said in a statement “Daniel Tosh pointed a gun at our heads and asked if we would put this series on the air, and we agreed that would be a good idea… It’s a bonus that it’s so funny.”
