LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Courtney Stodden won’t be pregnant anytime soon. Courtney Stodden is not interested in a pregnancy in the immediate future, says her mom. Her mother grants a peculiar news interview today detailing how Stodden is taking precautions on how not to be “16 and Pregnant”. Yet, Courtney Stodden does want a career in a reality TV.

After Courtney Stodden, 16, turned heads with her unusual marriage to 51 Doug Hutchison (Green Mile), Stodden’s mom previously explained that she and her husband gave their complete support to the marriage.

But now, in a news interview today, Stodden’s mom says she is actively involved with her daughter’s use of protection. In a very detailed interview, Krista Stodden says Courtney is “on birth control because she would prefer to wait for children”.

Yet, when does the 51 year old Hutchinson want to have children with his young wife? Perhaps when he is in his 60s, Krista reveals. “I think Doug would love to have children, but Courtney wants to wait a few years.”

The two reportedly are shopping a reality TV show. It remains unclear if viewers will tune in. Attention has been strong on the two. Yet the reaction to their marriage has been overwhelming negative. One reader on US Magazine writes today “Been there done that. I was 25 yrs older than my hubby. Me, 46. Him, 21.”

She explains that “We had lots in common. Then he turned 35 and I … [turned] 60 soon and he just left me for someone younger. It was fun while it lasted, which was fourteen years.” She concludes “being old and alone is not so great.”

Courtney Alexis Stodden and Doug Hutchison are contemplating a reality TV show, they tell news this week. But it remains unclear what cable channel would be interested in the peculiar story about a 16 year old marrying a 51 year old.

Courtney Alexis Stodden made news in June this year when she confirmed that she married a man older than her father. Her parents consented to the marriage, she disputed allegations that she has undergone plastic surgery, she battled criticism about her music, and Hutchinson’s wedding was dubbed a public stunt.

Now weeks later, the couple has sat down with ABC News and confirmed more details about their marriage and possibly a reality show.

Courtney Alexis Stodden had never met Hutchinson in person until he proposed her. Where did the idea for them to marry come from? Hutchinson says it was Stodden’s mother who came up with the idea.

After he admitted that he and her daughter were falling in love, Hutchinson asked Stodden’s mother what to do. She said that she already knew of certain U.S. states that permitted marriage to a minor with parental consent.

So Hutchinson got on the plane, saw Stodden face to face, and proposed. Off they headed to Las Vegas with parental consent and were married.

Now the two live in his Hollywood home. But it hasn’t been all easy. Hutchinson says his brother refuses to talk to him and that his mother refuses to meet Stodden. He said the press is bothering his mother and she is furious.

He tells ABC that “She sent me an email, and she said it was almost as if we had done something on purpose to hurt the family and put them in the spotlight and embarrass them and make their lives difficult … because obviously the press is hounding my mom now.”

For now, the couple confirms they are working on a reality show project. But Hutchinson has another project. He’s writing a children’s book.

Courtney Stodden’s pictures certainly make her appear older that sixteen, prompting online debates by news analyst and readers that her age might be inaccurate. Today that debate was put to rest with news of the release of Stodden’s marriage license, indicating her age is in fact 16.

Before news of the marriage of Stodden and Hutchinson surfaced Monday, Stodden had authored a series of music videos and narrative video telecasts. The self proclaimed actor, dancer, host, and singer said she has grown up through life battling critics. But nothing could have prepared her for the debate that began this week about her age.

On Tuesday evening, Stodden’s marriage license was finally released, nullifying the age debate. Stodden, who turns 17 years old on August 29, was married on May 19. Radar reports news that the couple’s wedding was witness by her mother, Krista.

Earlier this week, both mother and father confirmed they gave consent to Stodden’s wedding. By Nevada law, Hutchinson could only marry Stodden, a minor, with consent of at least one parent. Both parents have since told news that Stodden is an excellent husband.

While the couple exchanged wedding vows in the Chapel Of The Flowers in Las Vegas, and while Stodden is from Ocean Shores, Washington, Radar reports that the couple is already moving to Los Angeles.

This is Hutchinson’s third marriage, his last ending in 2005. Stodden says she is working on more music and is currently hosting her online video show. Her website boasted images of the couple’s nuptials and her plans to make it big.

According to her website, Courtney is now being managed by her husband. He is also now producing Vampire Killers, described as “a show around the hunt for a queen vampire and her 13 coven members by an elite group of vampire hunters” reports the Daily Mail.

Stodden describes herself as religious. “For me, God has given me the strength, the tools to deal with this, to turn all this negativity into positivity.” Her mom says Courtney is “a good Christian”. She would not confirm what age her daughter started marrying Hutchinson, nor how they met.

In fact, Stodden says she hopes to inspire others to stand up against bullying and negativity.

Who is Stodden? “I’m an upcoming recording artist, I’m a model, inspiring actress, dancer, TV show hostess, I host my own show called the Courtney Stodden Show” Courtney Alexis Stodden says in an online narrative statement posted to YouTube. Her marriage to Hutchinson was legal in the State of Nevada since Stodden got parental consent.

Stodden already has a series of different songs published online on YouTube. Stodden admits “I’m very career oriented.” But the 16 year old says it’s hard being in the public eye. “Along with being in the public eye comes a lot of criticism, hatred, and jealousy.”
