Funeral arrangements are set for Casey Johnson. Casey Johnson’s funeral arrangements will be on the east coast, and private.

A Johnson family spokesperson issued the following statement about Casey’s funeral less then 24 hours after discovery of her body Monday:

“The Johnson family wishes to thank everyone who has expressed condolences and support during this trying time. Your thoughts and prayers are deeply appreciated.

“[Casey's body will be] flown back east to her final resting place. The family asks for a measure of privacy over the next several days as they mourn their loss.”

“Casey struggled throughout her life fighting this disease, and she would want to see all of us continue that fight on her behalf”. The family asks that instead of flowers to make a donation at the Casey Johnson Memorial at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Johnson may have been dead since before New Years when her body was found Monday morning in Los Angeles. In fact, the last twitter post by Johnson was December 29. It remains unknown Tuesday morning if decay could be a factor in the L.A. Coroner’s investigation.

Monday evening included a swirling of strange reports that Johnson wasn’t dead but on life support, so much so that LAPD had to issue a statement to end the incorrect gossip spreading. LAPD Sgt. Charles Halliburton issued the following statement:

“I can confirm there’s been a death and the body has been identified as Casey Johnson.”

Casey Johnson is the great-great-granddaughter of Robert Wood Johnson, who founded Johnson and Johnson.

Tila Tequila is NOT dead. False rumors Tila Tequila died Monday continue Tuesday. “Tila Tequila died” fake reports spread online Monday night after the passing of Tila’s girlfriend, Casey Johnson.

Following confirmation of Casey’s death, Tila asked fans to give her space and informed them she would be staying offline. At roughly 5 pm PST Monday, Tila twittered:

“I’m still in shock! Once again thank U for the outpour of love and support. I just wish to have some privacy at this heartbreaking time.”

Her last update is 1 am PST Tuesday:

“I can’t stop these haunting visions of her and I. We made such a lovely couple, only beginning to spend the rest of our lives together…”

Sometime thereafter false reports of Tila’s death spread online.

In April 2009, Tila Tequila suffered the same during a break-in to her home. On April 13, 2009 (also a Monday), a person broke into Tila’s Southern California home and into her Twitter account. The person began posting false Twitter updates starting April 13 that read: “Tila Tequila is dead.”

Later, Tila would update fans of the drama:

“Pt1 This is Tila. I am deeply sorry for the earlier post about me being dead. I don’t know who logged into my account and wrote that.

“Pt.2 but someone did indeed break into my house. It’s been a very scary night for me. it’s 4:10am now and have been dealing with it all.”

“Pt.3 too much has happened. I am scared, exhausted and drained but I am ok! Want to apologize to my fans who were worried about me. Im moving into a different house very soon because I have a stalker who is very much so endangering my life at the moment….I love u all.”

Also a victim in April, not just Tila’s twitter but also her dog. The person reportedly attempted to hide Tila’s pet.

“Then I found my dog locked in the trunk of my car!!!!!!!!!! I’ve been crying all night. This is f—– up. I’m sad and shocked and bye…Im still shaking and crying! My dog in the trunk of the car, house is shattered, everything is smashed! I’m staying at a friend’s house 2nite”.

In just the last few weeks, Casey Johnson, daughter of Woody Johnson – owner of the New York Jets – splashed across mainstream media with a reported engagement to Tila Tequila. Questions about bizarre reports – an engagement ring being false or fake, reports that Tila Tequila was going to become a surrogate mother for her brother’s child (and then denied) – all swirled within just days.

And then suddenly, Johnson was dead. Dead for days. In fact, Johnson – a Twitter fan – hadn’t tweeted since December 29.

Johnson was open about her health. Reports online say she was diagnosed with diabetes at age eight, co-wrote the book “Managing Your Child’s Diabetes” with her father.

Casey Johnson showed off Ava, adopted from Kazakhstan, at the Friends of the Family benefit at the Beverly Wilshire in 2007. Johnson was set to adopt another girl from Cambodia at the time but that did not happen due to adoption rules.

She explains finding Ava was inspired by godmother, Diandra Douglas, the ex-wife of Michael Douglas, who also adopted a baby girl from Kazakhstan. Casey said:

“She’s the most beautiful baby I’ve ever seen. She’s blond-haired, blue-eyed,looks just like Diandra, and I thought, ‘Oh, my gosh! This is what I’m going to do.”

On plans for Ava, Casey said “At least six bedrooms because I need a room for my closet and shoes and handbags, and [my fiancé and I] both need an office. There needs to be a nanny’s room, a baby’s room, a master bedroom and a guest room.”

Tila Tequila did not die. Tila Tequila is not dead despite fake death reports online tonight. Tila Tequila false dead reports online come just hours after the confirmed death of her fiance, Casey Johnson.

Tila would twitter details surrounding the death of Johnson throughout Monday. Later today confirmation that Johnson had been dead for several days before the discovery of her body this morning.

Fake Tila dead reports are the first to strike the reality star. They also mark the latest to spread falsely moments after another

celebrity’s passing.
