LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Barry loves Britney and Bieber? Barry Manilow is no Justin Bieber nor Britney Spears. But Manilow tells news that he is always pursuing a younger market because he knows that what is critical to a musician’s longevity. Now the hit maker opens up about his own career, new talent, and the keys to success in a younger music industry.

Manilow’s insightful remarks to news came in recent days during an interview with ITV’s “This Morning”.

As to Bieber, Manilow told news that fame is overwhelming. Manilow says he is often worried that fame doesn’t consume younger talents as it often does with other musical talents. Manilow says “But it [was] this fame and success thing that knocked me over like a hurricane and I say a little prayer for the people that are younger than I was…. I hope Justin Bieber has a good family unit because that will help.”

As to a younger market, Manilow tells news that audiences change and a musician needs to adapt to those changing demographics. “After all these years I’m not sure that I have got an audience out there, and every night there seems to be more people, younger (fans). I think it’s like, ‘Is he still alive? Let’s go catch him before he croaks’, or something like that.”

As to Britney Spears, Manilow says he is a huge fan both of her stage talent and musical performances. Manilow was additionally won over after Britney sang to Barry, live. “We went to see Britney Spears and I fell in love. She was singing to me, I know it. I’m so in love with her. I love her music, I do.”

And while Manilow has seen it all, he’s still surprised by the audiences he attracts nightly to sold out crowds. “I really am surprised that there are still people out there that come. I ask my stage manager every night, ‘Is there anybody out there?’ and I really mean it.”

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Britney Spears’ Hold it Against Me music video premiered tonight (video below), along with its product placements. While Britney Spears is certainly not the first singer to embrace product placements in their music video, the question remains whether tonight’s entry is excessive.

Hold it Against Me carries in its at least four product placements. One of them gets two placements in the video, another gets an extended play, and one product will be familiar to Lady Gaga fans.

The video features product placements from “Make up for Ever Paris”, SONY, Britney Spears’ “Radiance”, and “Plenty of Fish”. SONY televisions appear placed early in the music video and later. Spears holds the Radiance bottle up with a smile; a close up freeze frame reveals the bottle’s name. And she puts on makeup in the beginning of the clip from Make up For Ever, a Sephora available product.

But the peculiar product placement is by Plenty of Fish. A recent report by the New York times incorrect claims that “in Ms. Spears’s video, plentyoffish.com is the sole brand that is visible.” However, it is the brand that gets the longest runtime and most peculiar placement. The placement, claims the times, was procured by the Kluger Agency.

What is Plenty of Fish doing in Britney’s music video? It is suggest “online dating [in...] the video.” Of course, that would explain why the computer graphics look like the present day. Spears’ director is Jonas Akerlund who directed Gaga’s “Telephone” video; that video also featured Plenty of Fish among other brands.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Britney Spears reveals a 2011 album is coming. Britney Spears’ new album will drop March 2011 confirms the signer in a news statement released today. Spears’ big revelation about the album has been hinted at by the star in recent days.

Spears said the album is not done, but she thinks it’s a winner. “I’m almost done with my new album and it will be coming out this March. I AM IN L-O-V-E WITH IT!” Spears thanked her fans for their support. “Just wanted to thank all of you for the amazing birthday wishes you guys have been sending all day. My fans mean the world to me & waking up to all of your wishes really made me smile, so here’s something that I hope will make you smile.”

Spears also fought back against reports concerning her relationship with Jason Trawick. “Ok, off on a romantic weekend with Jason for my birthday.” She added “Star Magazine, Radar Online, Jason Alexander and the rest of you liars, Ya’ll can kiss my lily white southern Louisiana –s.”

Larry Rudolph, Spears’ manager, issued a stern statement on Wednesday denouncing a website report and newspaper article. “Lawyers are amassing. We are 100 percent taking stern and immediate legal action.”

Spears yesterday said in a news statement that this “is just another example of the irresponsible nature of the tabloid media relying on shoddy sources and false information for the sole purpose of selling magazines, without regard to the truth and without regard to who they hurt in the process.” Spears promised “legal action against all of the appropriate parties”.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Britney Spears say she and Jason Alexander haven’t spoken for years. Spears says a Jason Alexander tape that was released on Radar Online today is fake.

The allegations appear today in the Star Magazine and Radar Online. Both are owned by American Media, Inc.

Spears’ statement issued to news late Wednesday reads:

“Every aspect of the story published by Star Magazine is completely and utterly false and Star Magazine was informed of the falsity of this story before it was published. The statements attributed to Jason Alexander are a complete fabrication as Britney has not had any form of communication with Mr. Alexander in years.”

“The audio recording posted on RadarOnline this morning purporting to be between Britney Spears and Jason Alexander is so obviously fake as to be laughable.”

“Suffice it to say, that Jason Trawick has never laid a hand on Britney.”

“This is just another example of the irresponsible nature of the tabloid media relying on shoddy sources and false information for the sole purpose of selling magazines, without regard to the truth and without regard to who they hurt in the process.”

“These irresponsible statements are defamatory and Britney Spears’ legal team will be taking legal action against all of the appropriate parties.”

LOS ANGELES (LATE) – Britney Spears and boyfriend Jason Trawick are mounting a major lawsuit. Britney Spears and Jason Trawick are in love despite what one major tabloid and a sister website are reporting Wednesday.

This week, supermarket shoppers will see Spears and Trawick on a a horrific tabloid cover; today, they will be able to hear an audio recording that is purportedly false. These are among the groups that Spears’ inner camp are seeking to pursue.

Larry Rudolph, Spears’ manager, issued a stern statement to Billy Bush midday Wednesday. “Lawyers are amassing. We are 100 percent taking stern and immediate legal action.”

Rudolph would not name the potential parties that Spears is looking at it. But the entities that published that allegations today are Star Magazine and Radar Online. Both are owned by American Media, Inc. Both divisions defended their reports.  David Perel, Executive Vice President of Radar Online, says the story was “100 percent verified.” A representative for Star tells Billy Bush “Star stands by its story.”

Spears would join David Beckham as the second major celebrity to go after a tabloid this year. David Beckham is currently suing, among other defendants, In Touch Magazine, for its article about Irma Nici’s. Beckham called that report “completely untrue and totally ridiculous, as the magazine was clearly told before publication. Sadly we live in a world where a magazine can print lies and believe they can get away with it.”

In Touch has defended their article. “In Touch published its article in complete faith in the accuracy of the story and its reporting. Notwithstanding Mr. Beckham’s denial, the magazine did not doubt and had no reason to doubt their multiple sources. In Touch is confident that Mr. Beckham’s lawsuit will be dismissed”.
