Alan Greenspan LIVE STREAM!

Posted on October 23rd, 2008 in Alan Greenspan, Bailout, Banking, Bill Clinton by lalate

Alan Greenspan LIVE STREAM

Watch a live stream of Andrea Mitchell’s Alan Greenspan, the man most blame for the U.S. Financial crisis, speaking right now. Alan Greenspan in a live stream is responding to the criticism that most experts are pointing, saying he was responsible for the current financial crisis because of policies he put into place during the Clinton Administration regarding banking regulations.

The claim is that Greenspan put in regulatory policies then that make everything look great in the 1990s but that would eventually wouldn’t hold up, and that the financial crisis now is his fault, not anything Bush banking regulations policies caused.

Christopher Cox, Security and Exchange Cmsn. Chair. and former Fed. Reserve Chair. Alan Greenspan and former Treasury Sec. John Snow are speaking right now live at the House Oversight Committee hearing.

Steve Goldstein of CBS’ Marketwatch is not buying Greenspan’s prepared speech. Steve writes:

“The former Federal Reserve chairman is in full-frontal legacy defense mode, and he’s not doing a particularly convincing job” says Marketwatch. “According to his prepared testimony before the House Oversight Committee, Greenspan lamented that “those of us who have looked to the self-interest of lending institutions to protect shareholder’s equity (myself especially) are in a state of shocked disbelief.” “

There is a live stream up right now. Click here for the live stream of Greenspan.

Bill Clinton SNL

VIDEO! Watch video of the Bill Clinton SNL skit from last night. Did you like this Saturday Night Live Bill Clinton skit? Didn’t SNL’s Clinton look like McCain with hair?

Clinton said this week to press (in real life) this week that McCain is “a great man” but that Obama will and should win. Clinton said he would do his best to elect Obama and that it was Hillary who asked him to support Obama.

“Hillary is the one who told me go help him (Obama). She said this guy’s got real skills. She said he’s got almost unlimited potential,” Clinton told Meet the Press.

“I’m going to do my very best to do ever single thing he asks me to do”.

Queen Rania

PHOTOS! Here are pictures of the breathtaking Queen Rania of Jordan. Queen Rania sat next to Bill Clinton at Clinton’s Global Initiative this week. Queen Rania is stunning and also an amazing world leader.

Queen Rania joined Bill Clinton for his annual philanthropic conference that included U2 and Bono. This is the Clinton Global Initiative’s fourth year.

Queen Rania herself spoke about education programs in Jordan and her efforts to renovate 500 schools in just 5 years. “Education is not just the responsibility of the government. “It’s everyone’s responsibility.”

Lance Armstrong was also in attendance recently major applause for his new efforts.

Here are some pictures of the amazing Queen Rania of Jordan. If only someone could fix our U.S. schools as well as her.

McCain Left EYE

Posted on September 25th, 2008 in Maria Bartiromo, John McCain, Bill Clinton by lalate

McCain EYEl

Pictures of John McCain’s left eye has everyone asking - droopy, puffy, different? Is there a difference in John McCain’s left eye, or just a trick of photoshop?

One website first did the analysis. Linked in from the HuffPost since at least yesterday, a blog has done some analysis of the eye.

AmericaBlog took recent video of John McCain and took stills to do the analysis. Do you think that’s the correct way to do analysis?

John McCain’s health has been in and out of headline news on this campaign.

As recently covered on LALATE, McCain did grant access to his medical records weeks ago. But reports claimed a) those records were only limited to medical records the last few years and b) that the medical reports  could only be viewed for a finite period of time one day only for a restricted number of press.

CNBC’s (and LALATE’s fav) Maria Bartiromo recently asked Bill Clinton during an interview this month about McCain’s health; Clinton said he and McCain are both in great health and that shouldn’t be the issue in the campaign - rather the difference on issues is how people should vote, said Clinton.

Bill Clinton DNC VIDEO

VIDEO! Watch the video of Bill Clinton’s speech at the DNC last night. Former President Bill Clinton spoke to the Democratic National Convention last night. Of course, the highlight of the entire day truly was Hillary Clinton who suspended voting on the floor and told the floor to cast all votes for Barack Obama.

Bill Clinton said in his speech:

“I want all of you who supported her to vote for Barack Obama in November.”

“Republicans said I was too young and too inexperienced to be commander in chief. Sound familiar? It didn’t work in 1992, because we were on the right side of history. And it won’t work in 2008, because Barack Obama is on the right side of history.”

If you missed the speech, or want to simply watch it again, below is the video.
