Obama State of the Union Address 2012 live streaming video online

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – President Obama’s State of the Union Address 2012 is Tuesday night. But Obama released a video preview moments ago detailing to news the subjects of his speech. Obama tells news that Tuesday’s State of the Union Address 2012 will focus on jobs, the economy, the middle class, and big ideas, rather than short-term fixes. Obama’s 2012 State of the Union Address will be able to be watched via live streaming video online.

In Saturday’s video preview, Obama told the country that his State of the Union speech is still not finished. “I’m actually not finished writing it yet. So there might be a few late nights between now and then.” He told news that the speech in many ways will be a “bookend to what I said in Kansas last month.” Obama is referring to the Dec. 7 in Osawatomie, Kansas speech in which he talked about plans for the middle class.

Obama said he will continue the Kansas message about “the central mission we have as a country, and my central focus as president.” The President said the economy is still not rebuilt fully. He said he will focus on “rebuilding an economy where hard work pays off and responsibility is rewarded, and an America where everybody gets a fair shot, everyone does their fair share, and everybody plays by the same set of rules.”

Obama told news that the country is allegedly at a cross-road for the middle class. He says the nation can go in two directions if not handled properly. “We can go in two directions. One is towards less opportunity and less fairness. Or we can fight for where I think we need to go: building an economy that works for everyone, not just a wealthy few.” He said he will tell the nation how “to talk about how we’ll get there.”

The president said this will be a make-or-break moment for the middle class, and for people trying to get into the middle class. American manufacturing, American energy, skills for American workers, and a return to American values will be among his subjects, he told news.

Obama L.A. October 25, 2011 Road Delays Expected for Burbank

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The Obama L.A. October 25, 2011 visit today will prompt road delays especially in Hollywood and Burbank. The Obama L.A. October 25, 2011 street closures today will be the result of the President’s heading to NBC Studios. On Tuesday, Obama will tape in the morning today’s episode of the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

The President’s route for October 25 is expected to prompt traffic delays and temporary road closures through the Highland pass to the Valley. Obama is heading to Burbank studios of NBC early this morning. The Tonight Show taping will roughly before 10 am PST, officials confirm to news.

Then the President will fly out of Los Angeles to San Francisco for another fundraiser. The President will end the evening in Denver for yet another campaign stop.

Yesterday the President headed to two meals / fundraisers, both galas in the Hancock Park area. But before then, the President stopped off a local favorite Roscoe’s House of Chicken ‘n Waffles. The President reportedly ordered approximately $9 worth of food after touching down in Los Angeles on Air Force One. Obama’s order was the No. 9 “Country Boy” – a mixture of wings, waffles and sides.

One of the President’s stops yesterdays was aimed at the Hispanic vote. Critics say the President was elected to improve immigration reform but has instituted policies less favorable for Hispanics. The President is accused of doing nothing but increase deportations of Hispanic. As much as four hundred thousand deportations were effectuated as of September 2011. Recently, the National Association of Latino Elected Officials said their electorate will not vote for Obama in 2012 because of his handling of Latino issues during his term.

Obama L.A. October 24, 2011 Visit Ads New Routes, Road Closures

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The Obama L.A. October 24, 2011 visit today is adding new routes and road closures. The Obama L.A. October 24 visit was originally suppose to be only in Hancock Park. But now the White House is confirming to news that the Barack Obama Los Angeles trip will take him to West Los Angeles, Westwood, Hollywood, even Burbank.

Los Angeles residents in advance of today’s Obama visit had believed the President was traveling only to Hancock Park. However, that is no longer the case. The President will first arrive by plane at LAX. He will then helicopter from LAX to UCLA, rather than the federal building in recent trips. As result, no 405 Freeway and Brentwood streets will be closed, officials confirm to news.

Temporary road closures however are expected over a massive cross section of Los Angeles east of Westwood. The President will land in UCLA by helicopter, then travel in motorcade from UCLA all the way to Hancock Park, through Beverly Hills, West Hollywood and neighboring areas.

Obama’s first stop today will be the Hancock Park home of Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas. The $5,000 per person afternoon gala will be hosted by National Latino Gala. The fundraiser is being hosted also by Eva Longoria, Futuro Fund, San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

Obama’s second stop will be Hancock Park home of James Lassiter. The $35,000 per person evening gala will be hosted by Troy Carter (Lady Gaga), Jay Brown (Def Jam), Will Smith, and Jada Pinkett Smith.

Obama will remain overnight in the Hancock Park. But the real trouble will reportedly erupt Tuesday October 25, 2011. Obama will travel from Hancock Park to Burbank for a taping of the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. White House Officials confirm that Highland and neighboring corridors will be temporarily closed as Obama travels through Hollywood to the Burbank taping.

Insiders believe that, after this trip, as much as fifteen percent of the President’s entire re-election fund will come from West Los Angeles donors.

Mike Ditka vs. Barack Obama? 2004 Senate Race Revisited Today

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – When Mike Ditka met Barack Obama today, history buffs revisited a possible 2004 showdown between the two. Mike Ditka met Barack Obama today along with 1985 Chicago Bears team. The ‘85 Bears did not get to go the White House in 1986 after winning the Super Bowl because of the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster. But today, history buffs are wondering if a decision by Ditka in 2004 changed American history.

In 1985, Ditka was the Bears’ coach. He told news today that it was a great pleasure to have his team finally honored by the White House. “On behalf of the 1985 Chicago bears, we consider him one of us. We’re very proud that you honored us by bringing us here. It’s only 26 years after the fact, and five administrations, but thank you.”

But with that, national news and history buffs are looking back to 2004 as well. In July that year, Republican Peter Fitzgerald vacated his Senate seat for Illinois. Republican nominee Jack Ryan withdrew his nomination following a local scandal.

Quickly Illinois leaders were pushing Ditka to run for the seat. At the time, Ditka was a described an ultra conservative. Ditka would have faced off against newcomer Barack Obama.

Ditka on the advice of his wife ultimately declined the offer. Instead Alan Keyes ran for the seat and lose miserably. In 2008, Ditka was asked by news if he regrets his decision not to run. Ditka said “It would have been interesting, I’ll tell you that.”
