LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Ashlee Simpson’s new blonde hair (photos below) are revealed by Simpson in new pictures showing the short blond haircut style. Ashlee Simpson dyed her hair blonde and cut her hair shorter after years of being a blond, and redhead, brunette, and jet-black stunner. But short and blonde together is a complete new look for former 7th Heaven star.

Pete Wentz took the twitter pic of the new Pixie Haircut look for Simpson. But the new hairstyle, color, and cut were debuted on the town last night in New York. Wentz tweeted the news ‘Yah fam headed out tonight stoked! Cute hair mama!’

In 2004, Simpson was blonde, then went to dark; by 2005 she was blonde again then heading to red in 2008 and dark again by November 2009.

Ironically, Simpson was removed from Melrose Place for a “lighter” direction for the cast. Series producers said the exit of Ashlee after episode 12 was always the plan. But when asked how did she “take” the news, the producers claim that she always knew it was a possibility.

Ashlee Simpson is leaving Melrose place, or as a new report claims Simpson has been “let go”. Ashlee is leaving Melrose Place along with Colin Egglesfield, claims a new EW.com report Thursday.

The Simpson exit comes after the storyline conclusion of “Who Killed Sydney?” in December. The shocking report claims “in addition to Heather Locklear’s Amanda, several new characters will be introduced and the show will take on a lighter, more fun vibe.”

Really? As if “fun” and “lighter” draws more ratings?

Ashlee Simpson is joining the cast of Melrose Place! Ashlee Simpson makes CW’s Melrose Place 2009 her new address.

Yes, really.

Simpson was on 7th Heaven seven years ago. The character Simpson is set to play resembles the Amy Locane character in the original Melrose Place, a southern girl who moves to Los Angeles with a secret.

Simpson and hubby will also appear on CSI NY on March 18 in a one episode role.

As LALATE reported this week, Jessica looks great, and always looks great. She looks beautiful in the above pictures. The pictures clearly show a poor taste in wardrobe selection by the 5′3′ country singer, and overly tight belt pushed against an overly tight black top.

But Ashlee Simpson’s comments — they are a bit out of focus.

“Since when did a woman’s weight become newsworthy” says Ashlee.

Before you were born Ashlee. Celebrities’ appearances have been newsworthy for over a celebrity, not just for women. From weight gains by Elvis to Marlon Brando, this is not new to 2009, and it’s not gender based.

Ashlee then says it right – that the world needs to be more accepting of different shapes. Amen!

“I am completely disgusted by the headlines concerning my sister’s weight. A week after the inauguration and with such a feeling of hope in the air for our country, I find it completely embarrassing and belittling to all women to read about a woman’s weight or figure as a headline on Fox News (”Jessica Simpson Shocks Fans With Noticeably Fuller Figure”.)

“All women come in different shapes, sizes, and forms and just because you’re a celebrity, there shouldn’t be a different standard. Is this something you would say to your wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, or even a friend? I seriously doubt it.

“How can we expect teenage girls to love and respect themselves in an environment where we criticize a size 2 figure? Now can we focus on the things that really matter. -Ash”
