American Idol 2012 tonight Top 4 Results Prompt Skylar Laine Rebound

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – American Idol 2012 Top 4 results tonight prompted a major rebound by Skylar Laine and Hollie Cavanagh from near elimination last week. American Idol Top 4 results tonight were stellar across the board. After a season in which spoiler predictions were often correct, and several marginal singers were progressively eliminated, tonight the final remaining contestants put up their best performances, and captivated the judges’ praise.

As we enter American Idol Top 4 results for May 3, 2012, one big question remains. Could previous bottom three singers face elimination again this week? Two weeks ago, Elise, Hollie, and Colton ended in the bottom three. Last week, Skylar Laine, Elise and Hollie ended in the bottom three.

But tonight, Skylar and Hollie delivered two of the best performances of the night. While the judges gave them top praise, news analysts wonder if the voters will yet again disagree.

Tonight, however, Skylar and Hollie impressed the judges. Skylar Laine was strong in her delivery of Fortunate Son. Randy Jackson told news “You are born to be on the stage.” Jennifer Lopez agreed, calling Skylar’s singing style simply “natural” for “every song”. Steven agreed, telling news that Skylar simply co-exists with her music, effortlessly.

Hollie Cavanagh also was stellar tonight with her rendition of River Deep Mountain High. But none of the judges were blown away by Hollie’s performance. Randy said “I loved it too.” Jennifer’s word selection was tame in her review. Lopez called the performance “nice” and said it showed “energy”. Steven simply said “The first time I really heard you step out.”

Phillip Phillips was also exceptional tonight. Many news analysts have contended that Phillip, Joshua Ledet, and Jessica Sanchez could be in the final three. But did they prove them right tonight?

Phillip Phillips on The Letter earned top praise. Randy said the rendition “made it new for me.” Jennifer was also impressed. Steve also enjoyed the originality, telling news that “you get away with it like the Stones got away with it.”

Phillip also earned top praise with his performance of You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling when teamed up with Joshua Ledet. Randy said the two men “delivered”, Jennifer liked how they let go and Steven was impressed.

American Idol 2012 Top 5 Results Tonight Prompt Elise Testone Elimination

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – American Idol 2012 Top 5 results tonight prompted a stunning elimination in a great week. Prior to American Idol Top 5 results tonight April 26, 2012, many news analysts were perplexed if fans would vote off a recently marginal singer, or send home yet another front runner. Added to the confusion were strong performances by all the performers last night. But in the end, was a fan favorite eliminated in tonight’s top 5 results?

Last night, Hollie Cavanagh brought the house down with her performance of The Climb. Randy Jackson exclaimed “Hollie is back” and Jennifer Lopez called it simply perfect. Steven Tyler agreed, telling news “It’s so beautiful”.

On his second song, Phillip Phillips with The Stone was also strong. Randy Jackson said the song showed Phillip’s “true colors again”. Jennifer wasn’t so sure, calling it “too artsy”. Steven Tyler liked it calling it “very entertaining.”

Elise Testone was strong, but not stellar, on her delivery of Bold as Love. Randy Jackson told news that she “attacked the song.” Jennifer agreed, proclaiming “you slayed that song.” Steven told news that he was “touched” by the performance. But in recent weeks, Elise was sent to the bottom three. Could tonight pose a problem for Elise again?

Joshua Ledet was on fire all night long. His performance of Ready for Love made Randy on Wednesday go “speechless”. Jennifer Lopez agreed. “I don’t even know what to say to you.” Steven said it was mind-blowing.

Skylar Laine was also strong with Tattoos On This Town. Randy said her vocal range was excellent. Steven and Jennifer both loved it.

Earlier in Wednesday’s performances, however, several singers were good, but not great. Phillip Phillips with Fat Bottomed Girls got marginal reviews. Randy said “I liked it. Yes. Did I love it. No.” Steven said he was running “out of breath”. And Jennifer wasn’t so sure about it.

Elise Testone was strong, however, with I Want It All. Randy said the song fit her well. Jennifer agreed, telling news that “it was natural.” And Steven enjoyed it.

But Joshua Ledet got a standing ovation with Crazy Little Thing. Randy told news that “it was unbelievable.” Jennifer agreed with “Joshua’s part of the show is my favorite part of the show.” Steven said Joshua is the man to beat.

Jessica Sanchez with Bohemian Rhapsody was also marginal, but Skylar Laine got bigger praise with Show Must Go On. Randy told news that “it was incredible.” Jennifer called it powerful and Steven said it was over the top.
Sent to the bottom three tonight were Skylar Laine, Elise Testone and Hollie Cavanagh. And in the end, eliminated in tonight’s American Idol Top 5 results was Elise Testone.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – American Idol 2012 Top 5 results tonight prompted Hollie Cavanagh concerns. When American Idol 2012 Top 5 results are announced tomorrow April 26, 2012, Cavanagh will know that she has ended in the bottom three multiple times through this competition, including last week. But while Cavanagh has consistently survived elimination, many of the other former bottom three singers have since been eliminated. Yet, following the Colton Dixon shocker last week, and the Jessica Sanchez surprise the week before, news analysts wonder if a previous fan favorite could be eliminated this week as well.

The Colton Dixon elimination shocked telecast viewers last week. Colton hadn’t been landed in the bottom three recently in this completion. Neither had Jessica Sanchez. Yet she too was voted off, only to be saved by the judges.

So for April 26, 2012 results, many fans are wondering if the bottom three will be familiar faces once against – Elise and Hollie – or whether some new names could be in jeopardy and then sent home.

Phillip Phillips hasn’t landed in the bottom three this season. But he has been marginal this month. His previously performance of U Got It Bad prompted good, but not stellar, reviews from the judges. Jennifer told him that he had a great vocal range. And Randy said that he was a true artist.

But in results tonight, first up was Jessica Sanchez. Her performance of Bohemian Rhapsody drew mixed reviews.

Steven said that Jessica sang well, but struggled with the genre. Jennifer said that Jessica was out of her element, but still delivered strong vocals. And Randy told news that Jessica’s delivery was excellent.

Skylar Laine has delivered back to back great performances in recent weeks. Tonight she continued that with “The Show Must Go On”. Steven and Randy loved it, while Jennifer said she nailed it. Lopez added that Skylar has been listening to judges’ comments through this competition and improving herself. Randy also added that tonight was Skylar’s best performance to date.

Many questioned Joshua Ledet’s choice of Crazy Little Thing Called Love tonight. But Randy and Steve gave him a standing ovation. Randy said that Joshua is ready to win this season. Jennifer said that Joshua is often the most anticipated singer each week. And Steven said it was fantastic.

But many news analysts wonder if trouble could on the horizon for Phillip Phillips. His Fat Bottomed Girls performance tonight wasn’t winning caliber, the judges told news. Randy unfortunately didn’t love it. Steven told news the same. And Jennifer agreed the delivery was good but not great.

Hollie finally sang Save Me. Steven said her delivery was good, but Jennifer and Randy felt the song struggled toward the end.

After American Idol 2012 Top 6 results last week ended with Jessica Sanchez’s elimination and save, many fans were wondering if Sanchez could be sent home tonight April 19, 2012, instead. Last night, the judges told news that America should vote for Jessica. But did America agree?

The last time any of the American Idol 2012 judges told viewers to advance a singer was the week with DeAndre. This week, Jennifer Lopez, who urged American to vote for DeAndre, told America to advance Jessica. Randy said the same and said he hopes America “votes for you this week”. But in early results tonight, there was trouble for one singer. Right off the bat, Joshua Ledet and Hollie Cavanagh were called to the stage.

And with that, Ryan Seacrest sent Hollie to the bottom three.

One week ago, Hollie Cavanagh dominated most news analysts’ predictions for elimination. But she didn’t even end in the bottom three. Last week, Joshua, Jessica, and Elise were sent to the bottom three, instead.

A week ago, most fans thought Hollie was in trouble, however, not Jessica. They thought her performance of Perfect wasn’t perfect. Randy said it “wasn’t perfect but you redeemed yourself this week.” Jennifer agreed and Steven Tyler bluntly said “It wasn’t perfect tonight for me.”

This week, however, the same judges praised Hollie and used the word “perfect” this time around. Randy this week said Hollie on Rolling was “close to perfect” and Steven said it was a “perfect” performance. Hollie, however, has been the bottom three before. Two weeks ago, the bottom three was DeAndre Brackensick, Hollie Cavanagh and Elise Testone.

But many news analyst contended Elise was not in trouble this week. Elise’s performance of No One prompted Steven to call it “beautiful”, Randy to love it, and Jennifer to praise it. But did viewers agree. But midway through the telecast, Skylar Laine and Elise were brought to the middle stage.

And Elise was sent to the bottom three.

Nigel Lythgoe prewarned viewers tonight that they will possibly not be happy with tonight’s results. Nigel wrote “Yes, we have another BIG shock on #AmericanIdol tonight. Wow, we are going to have a lot of unhappy people tonight.”

Many fans are still bothered by the elimination and save of Jessica last week. Jessica Sanchez drew huge praises from the judges last week with Stuttering. Randy said “Tonight you set the bar really high.” Jennifer Lopez said she wanted Jessica to sing with “impact… and take us on a ride.” Steve simply said “When I hear you sing, I forget where I am.”

Fans on twitter seemed to embrace her performance as well. Of Jessica, they wrote last week “She got me wanting to listen to Jazmine Sullivan now.” Another added “Jessica Sanchez just killed that Jazmine Sullivan song on American Idol….She got an amazing talent.”

Until last week, Jessica had never ended in the bottom three this season. Jessica Sanchez delivered sweet notes week to week, even earlier this month with Sweet Dreams. Randy Jackson was blown away, telling news “I say it all the time, but stars are truly born.” Steven Tyler agreed, stating “You really know your notes.”

But in the end, Jessica did not end in the bottom three. Elise, Hollie, and Colton finished tonight in the bottom three. And sent home was … Colton Dixon.

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – American Idol 2012 Top 6 results tonight gave Jessica Sanchez a second chance. But could Sanchez face elimination in results for April 19, 2012? Jessica Sanchez and the remaining American Idol top 7 competitors tonight performed two songs in a night dedicated to the life of Dick Clark. Last week, Idol shocked fans with the elimination and save for Sanchez. Many felt the elimination was unfounded. But did Jessica tonight solidify her chance to advance this week?

Jessica Sanchez performed Fallin, a delivery that all three judges loved. Randy Jackson told news that he hopes “America shows up and votes for you this week”.

He and all three other judges saved Jessica last week. Tonight they validated that save. Jennifer Lopez said “I’m glad we had a save and used it on you.” And Steven Tyler remarked that “With talent like yours you have a right to get mad at a song.”

One singer who has been marginal in recent weeks came out stellar tonight. Hollie Cavanagh on Rolling in the Deep delivered massive praises from the judges. He said she finally came out of her shell and delivered a “perfect” performance.

Not one of the singers tonight got bad reviews from the judges. But some got less stellar remarks.

Among them was Colton Dixon on Bad Romance. Dixon impressed the judges but didn’t shock them. Randy told told news that he “loved it” and it was a “job well done”. Jennifer said that he delivered an “exciting” performance with lots of “character”. And Steve said it was good.

Also receiving marginal comments tonight was Phillip Phillips. His delivery of U Got It Bad prompted Randy Jackson to remark that “We have a true artist on that stage.” Jennifer said that Phillip showed a range, calling him a “great singer who can sing any song.” Steve said the melody section was great.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – American Idol 2012 Top 6 results tonight revealed a shocking elimination, and save. American Idol results for tonight April 12, 2012 promised a shocker, and the show definitely delivered. Spoiler predictions were split since last night when all remaining contestants gave strong performances. But news analysts scrambled after Ryan Seacrest suggested that fans’ mouths might drop tonight with a shocking results announcement. So who was eliminated tonight, who was sent home?

Hollie Cavanagh dominated most news analysts predictions for elimination tonight. But after Ryan Seacrest tweeted today “there is a result tonight on @AmericanIdol that some would say is very shocking”, many fans were left perplexed. Some viewers felt that the only “shocking” elimination tonight would be sending Jessica Sanchez or Joshua Ledet home. And with Ryan’s comment, analysts anticipated that Joshua could be sent home.

But after Ryan, Nigel Lythgoe told news that the shocker tonight was not fake, but perplexing. In advance of the results telecast, Nigel told news that “I didn’t think the judges were fair on Hollie but it’s all subjective. I more than not usually agree with them. Interesting voting tonight.” Nigel’s comments appeared to suggest to news that Hollie was safe. He later added “okay, no [fake], I am truly shocked by tonight’s American Idol result.” He added the hash tag “#idontunderstand”.

Last night’s performances were strong across the board. While Jessica and Joshua were stellar, no one really faltered in their performances. Elise Testone was strong with her performance of You and I. Randy Jackson told news that “This girl is talented.” Jennifer Lopez gave Elise incredible praise, stating “Nobody can sing like you. You’re a closer.” Steven Tyler said that Elise has improved dramatically through the competition. “You turned into genius.”

Many fans once thought that Phillip Phillips could reach the final three; some tonight were worried that he could instead head to the bottom three. Some fans contend that Phillips’ performances are becoming predictable. His delivery of Give a Little More prompted Randy Jackson to state “What was I most excited was when you started.” Jennifer Lopez was torn, telling news “It was underwhelming.” But Steven Tyler liked it.

Most felt that Hollie Cavanagh would end in the bottom three tonight. Her performance of Perfect caused Randy Jackson to say it “wasn’t perfect but you redeemed yourself this week.” Jennifer Lopez said she wanted it to be perfect, but it wasn’t. And Steven Tyler bluntly said “It wasn’t perfect tonight for me.”

Predictions thought that Colton Dixon could end in the bottom three tonight as well for his performance of Love the Way You. Randy told him that the performance was “subtle” but “stellar”. Jennifer Lopez said it needed improvement. And Steven Tyler simply said “I love that jacket.”

Skylar Laine improved as well with the song Didn’t Know How Much I Loved You. Randy said “It was picture perfect with the pitch.” Jennifer agreed, telling news “You nailed it. You were beautiful.” And Steve said “Crows may crow but the hens deliver the goods.”

But two singers were definitely the best last night. The first was Joshua Ledet with Runaway Baby. Randy said “This was an unbelievable performance again from you.” Jennifer called it “dynamic” and Steven said “You gotta get the number of the girl dancing behind you.” The other big show-stopper was Jessica Sanchez with Stuttering. Randy said “Tonight you set the bar really high.” Jennifer Lopez said she wanted Jessica to sing with “impact… and take us on a ride.” Steve simply said “When I hear you sing, I forget where I am.”

Recently on Idol, Hollie, Heejun, and Skylar were in the bottom three, with Heejun eliminated. Then DeAndre, Heejun & Erika were in the bottom three; all those singers have since been eliminated. Last week sent to the bottom three were DeAndre Brackensick, Hollie Cavanagh and Elise Testone. In other weeks, Hollie and Skylar have been in the bottom three. So, of the current remaining Idol singers, Elise, Hollie and Skylar have all previously been in the bottom three, at least once.

But in American Idol results tonight, sent to the bottom three were Joshua, Jessica, and Elise. Initially eliminated tonight was Jessica Sanchez. But the judges saved Jessica!
