Amber Cole Back Dating Alleged Video Bully

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Amber Cole used her video scandal as a stance against online bullies. But is Amber Cole, just days after her video appeared online, back together with the same boy she called a bully a day before? A quick perusal of the alleged Amber Cole twitter account reveals, that between Thursday and Friday, Cole has allegedly switched from advocating against teen bullying and calling for the arrests of two boys to now expressing her love for both of them and apologizing to them?

The Amber Cole video scandal has become perhaps the most peculiar case of teen bullying in two years. The scandal that erupted online was detailed allegedly, step by step, by Cole herself. Through her Twitter account, Cole detailed the pain victims go through when subjected to teen bullying. But by Friday, a scandal that already fascinated a nation by its peculiar twists, took an even stranger turn.

Assuming the Twitter account is in fact the real Amber Cole, she has provided an almost hourly narrative of how the video scandal changed her life. But Friday, it all changed.

On October 18, Cole became a national phenomenon. She began to use her case to rally teens against teen bullying. “Please help me get #TeamAmberCole trending to raise awareness of cyber bullying.” She advocated to others that bullying is “unfair and mean … [It] bullying must stop.” Hoping to raise a movement against bullying awareness, Cole urged that others to stand up against bullies. “Today should be the last day anyone is bullied.” Her Twitter account suddenly within two days had attracted over thirty-thousand followers.

Suddenly, the Amber Cole video story took a dramatic turn. Late on the 18th, Cole told followers “I will be pressing charges on the 3 boys who were there.” By evening, she was repeatedly posting the Twitter accounts of two teen boys stating “I will never trust [you] … again”, “[you] will be serving [time]“.

Amber Cole Video Prompts Boys' Arrests, Fake Death Reports

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Amber Cole is not dead. But the Amber Cole video allegedly has prompted arrests of two boys this week. After the Amber Cole video prompted a national rally against teen bullying, Cole allegedly told followers and news that two teens allegedly involved with the video have now been arrested. Rather than remain faceless and speechless about the matter, Cole (Twitter screengrab photos below) has allegedly fought back, leading an online movement against teens who bully.

Who is Amber Cole? And what is the Amber Cole video controversy all about? Cole’s story has spawn developments that are sometimes problematic. A matter that originated online, has been updated through Twitter and Facebook account posts allegedly belonging to Cole. That same account has repeatedly referenced two other teen males account in accusations about the video’s controversy.

Cole is believed to be a 14 year old teen female that had recently started the new school year. This fall, Cole allegedly engaged in relations with a male companion in public. But allegedly unknown to her, the purported act was recorded secretly by one or more other persons.

Thereafter the video and screengrab photos were uploaded online. Dubbed the “Amber Cole Video”, the video was never authenticated. But if true, the recording and releasing of the video online is clearly unlawful.

In the days that followed, another female teen of comparable age recorded a second video (which remains online). The video narrative was done in the “Leave Britney Alone” style of the infamous Chris Crocker YouTube clip. Soon, her dubbed “Leave Amber Cole Alone” video took a life form of its own, and spawn its own controversy as well.

In the video, the female in “Leave Amber Cole Alone” calls for teen girls across the country to battle back against boys at school that bully. The video triggered a chord among males and females. But it also sparked its own controversy. The debate centered on the alleged actions of Cole and the male in the first place. Some critics felt the “Leave” video narrative sought to condone the underlying alleged public conduct. Soon other videos drew hundreds of thousands of viewers as they criticized the “Leave Amber Cole Alone” video.

Then came the fake Amber Cole death reports. Since the controversy erupted, false death reports have spawn online. Amber Cole is not dead. On October 18, she allegedly posted to Twitter “I’m not …dead. Please stop spreading rumors. I wouldn’t kill myself and make my family go through that.”

Amber Cole Video Reveals Teen Bullying Problem Rising, Exponentially

Amber Cole Video Reveals Teen Bullying Problem Rising Exponentially

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – A video posted of Amber Cole online is prompting national outrage about teen bullying. The Amber Cole video is sparking debate about the exponential growth of teen bullying in the U.S. since 2010; but in the case of Cole, bullying is now taking a new form through social media platforms. Amber Cole, like Tyler Clementi, was recorded without permission while engaging in an intimate act; that video was then sent online to others to see. Today, false reports claim Amber Cole is dead, while unconfirmed reports claim that the person who recorded the video and uploaded it has been arrested. But what is clear is that teen bullying is getting worse, year to year.

Amber Cole is not alone. In both September 2010 and September 2011, a series of teen bullying cases dominated national news. Many of those teen victims eventually committed suicides. And while bullying is not limited to one gender, Cole today is becoming one of the largest story in recent memories about a female bullied by classmates.

In September 2010, the death toll from teen bullying was out of control. Tyler Clementi, 18, Billy Lucas, 15, Asher Brown, 13, and Seth Walsh, 13, all committed suicides at the start of the 2010 school year. All four teens took their lives because of bullying on campus.

The Clementi case, however, was similar  to Cole’s. Tyler Clementi was engaging in relations with a male companion when he was secretly recorded without his knowledge. The video was then sent live online. Cole, in turn, was intimate with her male companion while a believed third party secretly recorded the act without Cole’s permission.

Bullies often run a faceless operation. And after their victims are dead, the bullies identities remained in question.

After Tyler’s death, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said “As the father of a 17-year-old…I can’t imagine what those parents are feeling today, I can’t. You send your son to school to get an education with great hopes and aspirations, and I can’t imagine what those parents are feeling today”.

Unfortunately, the problem has risen between 2010 and 2011. This September 2011, schools and families were shocked that, with a new school year, came more cases of bullying and suicides.

Last month, Jamey Rodemeyer, 14, killed himself after suffering relentless bullying. Jamey was bullied and no one cared. “No one in my school cares about preventing suicide, while you’re the ones calling me [gay slur] and tearing me down” he wrote on September 8. One day later he said “I always say how bullied I am, but no one listens. What do I have to do so people will listen to me?”

Social media has become helpful and hypocritical. In one breath, Twitter and Facebook users send condolences after bullying victims take their lives; but in another breath, users clamor to see the Amber Cole video. Other teens, however, are far more honorable. Among them are teens this week who have been posting YouTube clips urging fans not to search out Amber Cole’s video, not to view it, and to rally support behind Cole.

For now, Cole has thanked others for their support. On her Facebook account, Amber Cole writes “humans make mistakes.. so I am human too.” She recently added “why are people spreading more rumors I’m not dead.” She said simply “Over it.. moving forward with my life.. now I know to think twice.”  UPDATE: 3 PM PST. Alleged arrests reportedly have been made in the case.
