Adam Lambert AMA YouTube!

VIDEO! UPDATE #2- While some contend YouTube video of Adam Lambert’s AMA performance still is spreading viral, Adam Lambert’s AMA YouTube video of For Your Entertainment has now formulated two fronts.
Adam Lambert’s AMA YouTube video was broke first by LALATE late Sunday evening. Since then, it has become the most discussed and viewed awards show clips of the year here, with over 1 million readers drawn to the story and its updates since Sunday.
But does it still maintain that viral force now Wednesday?
In fact the biggest entertainment controversy on Wednesday has nothing to do with the AMAs. Rather it isthe shocking win of Donny Osmond over Mya on the season finale of Dancing with the Stars.
Why the difference?
By now viewers have not only seen Lambert’s AMA performance, heard his no apology position, but also formulated their position of support or disgust. Much of the decisions have rested on whether viewers feel they singer’s talent was shadowed by a publicity seeking routine, or whether this was just decent staging that didn’t accentuate Lambert’s vocals as well as it should have.

On Wednesday morning, Lambert went on CBS’ Early Morning Show. Now three days later, how are fan reactions to Lambert?
“I was a huge fan of Adam Lambert and couldn’t wait to buy his CD. What he did on AMA sickened me. I thought he had so much class but I was wrong. I don’t care that he’s gay but you don’t rub your sexuality in other people’s faces! I no longer have any desire to support him. What a shame. “
“I think Adam’s performance on the AMA’s was GLAMTASTIC!! Loved it!!. there are people out there that are afraid of their sexual side – I for one – love to express that side – Get with it – Adam has arrived – just embrace him and love him. We need his Love in this crazy world.”
“The early show performance was great. I love his presence and his voice. He has stolen my heart – It’s Adam 24/7 – no escaping when he starts, once he’s in he owns my heart, so I’ll hold on till it’s over.”
“Spot-on interview. Thanks to CBS. Loved Adam’s genuine thoughts and opinions. … Adam is an amazing singer/performer. I’d like to hear your emphasis on your vocals. By the way, you look amazing!”
Lambert told the Early Show of his AMA performance:
“I admit I did get carried away, but I don’t see anything wrong with it. I do see how people got offended and that was not my intention. My intention was to interpret the lyrics of my song and have a good time with it.”
Lambert says the criticism he received was unjust. Lambert said Jackson grabbed a particular “item” in his performance. “I haven’t heard one peep about that…. [I]f it had been a female pop performer doing (his) moves that were on the stage, I don’t think there would be nearly as much of an outrage.”
And Lambert added this : “I think it’s because I’m a gay male.”
In advance of the CBS interview, LALATE readers were divided about the AMA performance, many feeling the vocals were overshadowed by the staging, irrespective of the subject matter of the dance routine.
“Wow Adam Lambert is one of the most gutsy performers I have ever seen. I loved his performance. Kudos to the choreographer who came up with that routine. The AMAs have always shown progressive and controversial performances but this year AdamLambert’s song topped them all. That was so hot, so close and unexpected and I know even the performers who were grabbing themselves in their own songs were like…”No He Didn’t”! That’s right he did! It was hot! This is our music of tomorrow folks and it so reflects society today. Go to any night club and you see girl on girl, guy on guy and etc. Adam was just showing folks what is out there and he did it to his song perfectly.Loved the high notes. Adam is fierce, sexy, bold and yes everyone will talk about this tomorrow! I can’t wait to see him on Ellen!”
“I was an Adam Lambert fan, but after seeing his classless demonstration … I no longer have any desire to listen to him as an individual. He had a chance to be respected for his talent, instead, he chose to impress those who are more interested in whatever it was he was trying to prove. BTW, I lost respect for Madonna and Brittany for their lame attempt at getting attention. … This wasn’t cable. Adam knew this. In our time zone, kids could have still been up. I cared about Adam based on what I saw on American idol, now that I know he doesn’t care about what’s important to me, I have no interest in defending him.”
“I too was a big fan of Adam Lambert. But that performance on AMA was way too over the top. He came across like a freak instead of a unique talent. What a waste. Let’s hope he decides to go for the music instead of the shock value.”
