NBA All Star Game 2010 Live STREAM!

Posted: February 14th, 2010 in All-Star Game, Basketball by LALATE

NBA All Star Game 2010 Live STREAM

LIVE STREAM! Catch the live stream of the NBA All Star Game 2010 in moments. The NBA All Star Game 2010 live stream kicks off in a venue that is expected to break all records tonight.

The most people to ever see a basketball game was the 2003 Kentucky- Michigan State game at Detroit’s Ford Field. It drew 78,129 people.

Tonight, the number could break 100,000.

David Stern said yesterday:

“We are going to set a Guinness Book of records number with something in excess of 90,000 people in a beautiful stadium that is one of a kind. And we are really excited about that.”

But the venue tonight is about as exciting as the event. NBA.com describes it as follows:

“The retractable-roof stadium is home to the world’s largest high-definition video board, which weighs 600 tons, and measures 160 feet wide by 72 feet high. A court is only 94 feet long. The stadium casts a sleek silver profile of glass and steel that dwarfs the adjacent Texas Rangers’ baseball park. Cowboys Stadium will host the Super Bowl next year and the NCAA Final Four in 2014.”

LIVE stream of the game can be watch on TNT tonight starting at 8 pm EST.

NBA All Star 2010 Lineup

START TIME! Start time on your 2010 NBA All Star game is approaching. Your NBA All Star Game starting lineup and reserves are below.

Says the NBA about tonight’s All Star Game:

“The 2010 All-Star Game will have a high bar to surpass the excitement of last year’s game in Phoenix. Former teammates and rivals Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant shared the game’s MVP honors in a 146-119 win for the Western Conference.

“With Kobe back as a starter along with NBA stars LeBron James, Dwight Howard, Dwyane Wade, Steve Nash and others, it’s fitting that the league will be playing this year’s All-Star Game at the world’s largest domed stadium.

Start time is 8 pm ET 5 pm PST and airs on TNT.

Gerald Wallace tells press about being added to Reserves list the following:

“This is an amazing moment for me and for the Bobcats franchise, and I’m excited to be the first player to represent this team in the All-Star game. I want to thank all the fans who voted for me and the coaches who selected me to play in the game.”

Slam Dunk-In Contest DeMar DeRozan vs Eric Gordon!

Posted: February 12th, 2010 in All-Star Game, Basketball by LALATE

DeMar DeRozan vs Eric Gordon Slam Dunk-In

During the Rookie Challenge catch the DeMar DeRozan vs Eric Gordon Slam Dunk-In! The All Star Game Slam Dunk Contest gets a new addition for 2010.

It’s called the Slam Dunk-In … that plays during the Rookie Challenge … as an eliminator for the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest … during All Star Weekend.

How’s that for naming a sporting event! (Yes, the NBA needs to learn from the NFL how to name events a bit less confusing than this.)

The Slam Dunk-In contest premieres this year, which basically just offers an extra round of the Sprite Slam Dunk contest a night before between two players.

For 2010 it’s DeMar DeRozan vs Eric Gordon Slam.

If you go to any bar the next 14 days, the one sporting event that gets more replay action is the Slam Dunk Contest. It’s one of the best, viral appealing, replay worthy, sporting events of every spring.

Raptors’ DeMar DeRozan and Clippers’ Eric Gordon will face off in the All-Star Slam Dunk-In during the halftime of the Friday night Rookie Challenge. Their challenge will be a single round two dunk event. Their winner joins Saturday’s Slam Dunk contest.

Nate Robinson will defend his title in his quest to become the first three time winner. The event is NBA All-Star Saturday Night, Feb. 13, from the American Airlines Center in Dallas.

Kobe Bryant Injury UPDATE!

Posted: February 11th, 2010 in All-Star Game, Basketball, Kobe Bryant by LALATE

Kobe Bryant All Star Game Injury UPDATE

UPDATE! Kobe Bryant’s injury update wasn’t good last night. Kobe Bryant’s injury for the All Star 2010 Game this weekend now remains more problematic then when first updated earlier this week on LALATE.

On Wednesday, LALATE told you that Kobe’s left ankle looked “promising” for the Dallas’ All Star Game. Now you can describe the situation as problematic and of concern. At issue – last night’s Jazz game. While Wednesday brought belief that his injury to his left ankle would be good enough to play against the Jazz, he did not, missing his third straight game on the eve of the All Star Game.

Bryant told press also he wasn’t sure if he would be healthy enough for Sunday. This is compared to what Phil Jackson had told press before last night’s showdown:

“It’s really up to [Bryant]. If he feels like he can play, he can play. He doesn’t want to miss any games that he doesn’t have to miss, and that’s a pretty natural thing. He feels like it’s his responsibility [to play] being the leader of this team, and I agree with him there. There’s a certain responsibility to play, but if he can’t play, he’ll know.”
