Alexis Wright Video, Photos in Zumba Scandal Prompt Plea Deal

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The Alexis Wright video and photos from her Zumba Scandal prompted a massive plea deal today. Alexis Wright dominated the Zumba Scandal of Kennebunk, ME last year. But after her client list was slowly released to news, Wright had an insurmountable case to defend against.

Prosecutors asserted that there were not only hours of video recordings but also a “ledger key” which described the type of “services” that certain male clients preferred. On Friday, that video and photo evidence resulted in the Zumba fitness instructor pleading guilty to twenty criminal counts.

Videos, texts and emails had dominated the prosecutor’s case. They claimed that there were thousands of pieces of evidence. The 30 year old had already seen her insurance agent friend Mark Strong Sr. get convicted of 13 counts and sentenced to 20 days in jail.

But on Friday, Wright, accused of having more than 150 male clients, entered a guilty plea as to twenty counts. Police claim that she made $150,000 off her endeavor. Now prosecutors, pursuant to the plea deal, will ask for a 10 month prison sentence. Despite pleading guilty to twenty counts, Wright as reported on LALATE last winter was charged initially with more than one hundred counts. And prosecutors were seeking to even enlarge that number. At issue was trying to identify males form hundreds of hours of video and fourteen thousand screen shots.

Police claimed that a landlord had seen a recording device in Alexis’ tenant space. Neighbors claimed to have heard excessive sounds of relations. Witnesses claimed to have seen male’s cars coming and going throughout the evening.

Last fall, attorney Stephen Schwartz claimed to represent some of the alleged clients. He asserted that there were more than one hundred fifteen politicians on the list. But prosecutors issued subpoenas on forty-five men on the list initially.

“I’m told that there are police officers and firemen and accountants and TV personalities and lawyers,” Wright’s attorney told ABC. “It runs the gamut of Americana, I guess.” How much did alleged clients pay? The list suggest that one man may have allegedly made at least $1500.”

Following a raid, prosecutors charged Alexis with “106 counts …, violation of privacy, tax evasion and other charges for allegedly providing [...relations] for money”. They also charged Strong with “59 counts of promotion …. and violation of privacy.” And ironically, the entire case was tipped off by a blogger’s post. Prosecutors claim they were first tipped off by a blog posted online.

The unidentified writer claimed “She’s living a double life and is a p-n star. She may be a pr-itute for all I know.” Suddenly, police started watching the facility. In July, they noticed that allegedly men were coming to the dance facility, day and night. Then witnesses reported “moaning and groaning” allegedly coming from the studio.

The blogger wrote on August 30, 2012 a single post to a Blogspot.com account. In it, the blogger stated “all you have to do is [search online for] her full name (which is pretty ridiculous that she goes by that) & you’ll see her doing all kinds of … acts with married old men, herself & other females.”

Alexis Wright had no comment for news today.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The Alexis Wright video and photos controversy from the Zumba Scandal of Kennebunk, ME takes a new turn today. More of the Alexis Wright client list gets released today November 9, 2012, officials tell news. Initial videos and pictures prompted arrest warrants for twenty-one males.

Police still tell news that video and photos seized from Wright reveal that male clients were being recorded without their knowledge. While oils and a black book of client names were recovered, police still maintain that the men did not know that they were being taped. As a result, Wright has been charged with invasion of privacy along with more than one hundred other counts.

Alexis Wright not only had a little black book of names but also a “domination fetish list”, police tells the SeacoastOnline news. An envelope from a motel, male protection, and Astroglide were also recovered. Additionally, more than one thousand dollars in cash was seized.

Police claim that they are not only hours of video tape but also a “ledger key” which described the type of “services” that certain male clients preferred. Wright is accused of having one hundred clients and making over $150,000 in 18 months. The videos of her acts have been leaked online. Sarah Churchill, Wright’s lawyer, says his client is not guilty.

One man who is unhappy about the matter is Benjamin Hopkins, the father of Alexis Wright’s son. He has filed a temporary order for protection and full custody of their child. Hopkins’ attorney tells SeaCoast that Wright has allegedly been uncooperative.

He says “I try to do these cases where there’s some notoriety very quietly, and that works better for children”. But he also tells news “on the other hand if you have a parent who is determined to get as much attention and publicity as they can and don’t want to do something in the interim, there isn’t really much choice than to go through the courts.”

The new names from the alleged Wright client list will be released later today.

Alexis Wright Video, Photos in Zumba Scandal Cause Misidentification

Alexis Wright Video, Photos in Zumba Scandal Cause Misidentifications Alexis Trowbridge

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Alexis Wright video and photos in her Zumba Scandal resulted in arrests for James Soule and Jens W. Bergen. Alexis Wright aka
Alexis Trowbridge videos were seized in the Kennebunk, ME investigation earlier this year. Also obtained were a purported client list. Now, officials have confirmed to news that one of those alleged clients was James Soule, former Mayor of South Portland, Maine. Another was a leading local lawyer, Jens W. Bergen.

The Alexis Wright Zumba Scandal began with more than one hundred charges against Wright. Police tell news that Alexis Wright on her Facebook account went by the name of “Alexis Trowbridge”. But the Kennebunk, ME investigation has now revealed twenty-one alleged clients. One man arrested, James Soule, thinks the news coverage, however, is a bit overblown.

In an interview with local news, James Soule’s attorney said that the charge against his client is a minor misdemeanor. Attorney Peter DeTroy told the Press Herald that the offense is minor misdemeanor. But do critics agree? “I have never in 40 years seen so much ado about so little, but that’s more … a function of the times we live in than anything else.” He also told news “It’s a Class E misdemeanor, which never generates any jail time. It’s a fine.”

DeTroy would not deny the charges against his client. Soule served as South Portland’s mayor in 2008 and twice before in the 1990s. His business, A-Best Windows, would feature him in television advertisements promoting his products. Last week, prosecutors confirmed to news that one of the alleged clients is a television “personality”. Prosecutors have yet to indicate if the Soule was the TV personality they were refereeing to. Soule served on the local city council during the 1980s and then again starting in 2006. A former local teacher in the 1970s, Soule is married with children.

Jens W. Bergen is also on the list. “Jens-Peter W. Bergen is a sole practitioner of law providing litigation and trial services to business and individual clients throughout southern Maine”, reads his website. Bergen has yet to comment to news about the matter.

Justice Thomas Warren, since Thursday, has battled over what details in the Alexis Wright case to be release to news. First, Warren decided to release the names of the first 21 alleged johns but without ages and addresses.

But that backfired. Several of the names on the list are common names. As a result, many members of the community were besieged by phone calls from news media after their names matched those of the alleged johns.

Several local news reporters were also under fire for misreporting innocent member of the public as charged johns. Several local, leading members of the Kennebunk, ME community and nearby were watched as their faces, names, and occupation appeared on local news broadcast even though he had nothing to do with the Alexis Wright scandal.

One man told WCSH NBC that he was furious he was misidentified by local news in the Alexis Wright scandal. “When I first saw my name on the computer I laughed, and then as I got up I’m thinking, … ‘this is very misleading and I don’t think it’s fair.’” He also told news “And then I became upset, to say the least I was very upset.”

Quickly, Justice Warren reversed his decision. He re-released the names of the alleged johns and this time included their addresses and ages to prevent confusion.

Police claim that Alexis Wright photographed and videotaped herself having relations with her male clients. They also claim that male clients allegedly did not know about the taping. But for now, only twenty-one males are charged and due in court December 5. For more about the men charged and Alexis Wright, click HERE.

Alexis Wright Kennebunk ME Photos Prompt Names Released

Alexis Wright Kennebunk ME Photos Prompt Names Released video zumba scandal

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Alexis Wright’s Kennebunk, ME photos and video in the Zumba Scandal prompted the release of twenty-one names of purported male clients. Alexis Wright of Kennebunk recorded videos and photos of her one hundred fifty male clients, claim prosecutors. Now those videos and pictures prompted arrest warrants Monday for the first twenty-one males.

The Alexis Wright Kennebunk, ME “Zumba Scandal” enlarged last Thursday after an attorney for three of Wright’s purported male clients sought to prevent the release of their names. Prosecutors claim that Wright’s clients were not Zumba dancing partners.

Rather prosecutors claim that the men were coming to the studio near Kennebunk, into the thick of the night, one after another, and engaging in relations for payment. Prosecutors claim one client pay as much as $1500 per encounter. They also claim that Wright allegedly made six figures per month on her alleged conduct.

As Wright was arrested roughly two weeks ago on more than one hundred counts, prosecutors told news that they had seized several key items. First, they seized Wright’s videos. On the Alexis Wright video tape are allegedly hundred of male clients including TV celebrities, lawyers, doctors, accountants, politicians and policeman.

But investigators claim that Wright’s male clients didn’t know they were being recorded. Yet, her landlord later found a video camera and tripod set up in her studio near a massage table shortly thereafter.

Second, Alexis Wright pictures were obtained. Tens of thousands of screengrabs were seized that purportedly feature Wright with her male clients.

Third, a client list was confiscated. Police say the list features some of Kennebunk’s top politicians and lawyers. So last week, a lawyer representing three of those clients sought to prohibit the release of that list. The motion was denied, as reported on LALATE at the time. On Saturday, LALATE reported that the list would be released this week.

And without further ado, the first twenty-one names were from Alexis Wright’s alleged client list were released Monday night. Who are the men on the purported list? They are Gary Bahlkow, Jens Bergen, Norman Crepeau, Joseph Cuetara, Kenneth Fairbanks, Donald Hill, Monie Hobbs, David Kline, Robert Labonte, Dale Madore, Paul Main, Harry McMann, Kevin Pagliccia, Claude Palmer, Philip Parker, Colin Powers, Clinton Ray, James Soule, John Verreault, James White and Peter Wormell. All the above man have been charged.

Police would not tell news when the other names would be released. “In keeping with the Cumberland County Superior Court’s ruling, the Kennebunk Police Department has been directed to release only the names of certain persons issued summonses and to withhold addresses as some may also be alleged victims of criminal invasion of privacy”, claim Police.

They added that the “Kennebunk Police Department charged the following people with Engaging in [paid relations] based on an ongoing investigation.” Lt. Anthony J. Bean Burpee of the Kennebunk Police Department in a news statement last night said “all individuals charged are due to appear in Biddeford District Court on December 5, 2012, at 1pm”. The men on the list have yet to comment to news about the matter.

Alexis Wright Client List from Video Being Released in Zumba Scandal

Alexis Wright Client List from Video Being Released in Zumba Scandal Zumba madam photos Kennebunk maine

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – The Alexis Wright video client list will be released in the Zumba scandal. The Alexis Wright video and client list allegedly featured TV celebrities and politician. But now the client list of the alleged Zumba Madam of Kennebunk, Maine is set to be released to news. One male TV personality on the Alexis Wright (photos below) video could face television coverage that he never anticipated.

The Alexis Wright video from the Zumba scandal featured hundreds of hours of alleged male clients. But who were Wright’s alleged clients? Investigators tell news that her alleged clients are a who’s-who of nationally known personalities, not just from Kennebunk. There are lawyers and doctors on the alleged list. There are allegedly lots of married men with families. But the real shocker are alleged TV celebrities on the list. While she had policeman, accountants, and even farmers as her alleged clients, Wright also allegedly had a nationally known TV personality as a regular client.

In the realm of scandals, attorneys often try to avoid heightening coverage of the trouble. But attorney Stephen Schwartz failed to do that Friday. Schwartz dominated news Friday telling a local Maine court that he represented two males who allegedly used Wright’s services. Schwartz described an alleged client list. Suddenly, a news story that only featured words like “counts” and “invasion of privacy” now featured words like “client list”, “celebrities”, “solicitation”, and “video tape”.

Schwartz said his clients would be hurt if the alleged list was released. “We think there’s a really important principle at stake here: These people are presumed innocent,” Schwartz wrote in his moving papers to the Court. “Once these names are released, they’re all going to have the mark of a scarlet letter, if you will.”

Ultimately, Schwartz lost the motion. The Court ruled that the list will not be kept under lock and key. In fact, the Court noted that warrants had been issued already for forty of the alleged male clients.

So when will the list be released? Alexis Wright alleged client list will be published in the next seven days. By next Friday, we might know who was the alleged celebrity on the list. CBS News reports “Kennebunk police have been issuing summons to Wright’s alleged clients and said the names will be released in bi-weekly police activity reports beginning Friday.”

How long is the list? Officials tell news that the list features at least one hundred fifty alleged male clients. News reports claim that one man allegedly paid as much as $1500 per encounter.

But the big question remains whether alleged male clients were secretly recorded or recorded with consent? Alexis Wright videos obtained from her computer by police allegedly feature fourteen thousand screen shots and more than a hundred hours of video. Police claim many of those married politicians allegedly didn’t know they were being recorded.

But the evidence is contradicting. Her landlord claims to have found an alleged video camera and tripod in full view inside the dance studio. The camera was additionally set up in front of an alleged massage table, police tell news.

Purported videos and images of the alleged encounter have been online for years. But not until one blogger on August 30, 2010 posted a narrative of the Zumba scandal allegations did police and the landlord start their investigation efforts. Wright has claimed no wrongdoing. Mark Strong, also charged, claims he committed no crime. Wright has been given more than one hundred charges. But after sorting through tens of thousands of images, police may add additional charges against Wright.

UPDATE: The names of the alleged men involved have been released HERE. Lt. Anthony J. Bean Burpee of the Kennebunk Police Department released a news statement today reading “The Cumberland County Superior Court issued a ruling this afternoon regarding a filed Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) motion to prevent disclosure of the names and addresses of certain persons who have been named in summonses issued by the Kennebunk Police Department and/or York County District Attorney’s Office as the result of an ongoing investigation being conducted.”
