Adrienne and Rob dated for nearly two years, announcing their breakup in March of 2009. But in true Hollywood tv magic, their breakup has now been dragged out through programming nearly 12 months later.

In November 2009, viewers were first teased about details of their breakup. Now, almost 12 months later, the answer to the same question is being dragged out revealed. On this week’s episode, Adrienne’s new boyfriend reportedly texts Rob telling him that she has moved on. But who is he?

MTV confirmed the breakup in March 2009 when Bailon was tapped for a new gig – the face of MTV Afternoons.

“[W]hile ambition brought Bailon to Hollywood, years in the Disney kingdom (and a public break-up with Robert Kardashian, Kim’s little brother), brought on a serious case of homesickness. And it didn’t help that Bailon never got a driver’s license. Now, as co-host of New Afternoons On MTV (alongside MTV Tres VJ Carlos Santos), shot at the same Times Square studio she once froze outside of, Bailon says she’s finally back where she belongs: home.”

While Bailon doesn’t explain why the breakup, one thing is clear – her new job was not near Rob. Bailon shoots for MTV in New York, not out of their Santa Monica offices.

“Q What’s the best and worst part of being newly single in NYC? A: The best – I get to spend a lot of times with friends. It’s very Sex and the City. And the worst part – when it’s cold and rainy, there’s no one to snuggle up with. Except my girlfriends pile in bed with me and we snuggle.”

2009 followed the scandal of Bailon leaked photos, a leak that some didn’t believe as accidental.  US Magazine reported at the time the following:

” “Bailon and … Jonathan Jaxson leaked the story that … shots were stolen from her laptop “purely to get attention,” a source tells Usmagazine.com. In an interview with a local CBS affiliate, Jaxson confirmed they made up the scandal “to juice” things up.”

In March, Adrienne would not tell MTV viewers why she and Rob broke up. She did tell the following:

In October 2008, reports that Bailon’s laptop was allegedly stolen from JFK Airport NYC in October of this year. LALATE had reminded you at the time that Kim Kardashian, sister to Bailon’s boyfriend Rob Kardashian, had claimed her OWN laptop stolen from that airport in November of 2007.

Then a subsequent Fox report covered more confusion over the … “leaked” … photos:

“Bailon’s (now ex) Hollywood publicist/pal Jonathon Jaxson (who only started working with the songstress “as a friend” two weeks ago to help spice up her image) admitted to Tarts that after the laptop was stolen he and the 25-year-old decided to “juice up” the story by saying that “[unclothed] pictures could have possibly been stolen.” “

In fact the pictures weren’t from a laptop.

“Oddly enough, Jaxson said that the steamy snaps were actually stolen from the starlet’s Sidekick phone (not her laptop) so it’s under suspicious circumstances as to how the pics have been made public.”

So where did the photos come from?

Jaxson told Fox:

“Adrienne and her boyfriend (Kim Kardashian’s younger brother Robert) swear they didn’t leak them, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Adrienne did. It’s either her or someone very close to her. Things are pretty ugly, what should have been an image boost has really turned around and bitten her.”

In comparison, US Magazine reported at the time the following:
