Jaguars vs Vikings 2012: Adrian Peterson will Start

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – As we near start time on the Jaguars vs Vikings 2012 game today, questions had surrounded Maurice Jones-Drew and Adrian Peterson. Yet, moments ago, the Vikings delivered exciting news for fans. The Vikings now confirm that Adrian Peterson is healthy and will start Sunday.
Coming into today’s Jaguars vs Vikings 2012 football game (live score below), the Jaguars are hoping to deliver another win. Just last week, the Jaguars delivered a strong victory against the Falcons at home. Chad Henne only delivered one hundred six yards, completing four of six attempts at quarterback. But with those four passes, he delivered one touchdown and two interceptions.
The Jaguars, however, dominated on both rushing and passing against the Falcons in last week’s preseason showdown. The Jaguars surprised news delivering two hundred twenty-five rushing yards compared to Atlanta’s mere eighty-three yards. On passing, the numbers were closer. The Jaguars delivered two-hundred twenty-five passing yards to the Falcons’ one hundred sixty-four.
The Vikings, in turn, will seek to redeem themselves from a narrow loss to the Texans on the road last week. The Vikings, however, need to maintain their strength on passing. Against the Texans, the Vikings delivered three hundred seventeen yards. Moreover, they completed twenty-six of forty-seven pass attempts.
Peterson’s condition for Sunday had remained uncertain. After a reconstructive surgery on a torn ACL and MCL on December 24, Peterson initially was doubtful for Sunday. Coach Leslie Frazier had told news that the decision about Adrian will be made at game time. But he said that Toby Gerhart is ready to play. Frazier said “With Toby we can run our offense even if Adrian isn’t in there. We feel like we don’t have to change any of our plays.”
But, moments ago, the Vikings tweeted news that Peterson will start. “He’s back! Adrian Peterson is active AND will start today for the #Vikings”. Today’s game has a start time of 1 pm EST on CBS. For live score updates today, click HERE.
