50 Cent Not Dead – Fake British Death Report Strikes Rapper

50 Cent Not Dead - Fake British Crash Death Report Strikes Rapper

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – 50 Cent is not dead but is the victim of a fake British death crash report online today. 50 Cent didn’t die in a car crash on Route 80 in 2011. But that same fake death story, and another false British death tale both surfacing online, are angering fans today.

In December 2011, 50 Cent battled a fabricated crash report. In it, the site Global Associated aka Media Fetcher claimed that the rapper had died in a vehicle crash on Route 80. The website went on to claim that “Local Team 9″ was at the crash scene and that the office of “Highway Safety Investigators” had been dispatched. Neither such organization exists, however.

At the time, fans were irate. The same fake Route 80 story had been used against countless music icons. In February this year, the same report was used to kill off David Guetta. Weeks later, it was used against singer Celine Dion. Even Clinton Portis was the victim of the same fabricated tale.

In fact, 50 Cent like Lil Wayne is battling multiple fake death reports today. In March, Global listed Lil Wayne dead from more than three different causes – a BMW crash, a plane crash, even a jet ski crazy. Today, 50 Cent is the victim of multiple conflicting death reports from Global.

Besides the rapper and Celine, the same false report has been used previously against everyone from Snoop Dogg to Chuck Norris, even against actor Tom Green.

And if you are wondering if 50 Cent died in a snowboarding accident today in Zermatt, that story is also fabricated. In fact, Global is also reporting today that 50 Cent died after a “luxury yacht sinks off coast of St. Tropez France Actor 50 Cent”. “The French Maritime Gendarmerie, a division of the French Navy responded to distress calls from 10 persons aboard a 120′ luxury yacht cruising off of the coast of St. Tropez. Actor 50 Cent was reportedly vacationing aboard the privately chartered vessel. “

Global is also claiming that 50 Cent died today from a “waverunner crash in Turks and Caicos” while snowboarding. “Musician 50 Cent died while on a personal vacation in Turks and Caicos early this morning from injuries sustained in a Jet-Ski accident.” 50 Cent wasn’t snowboarding today.

If the fake tales sound familiar, they should. They have been used to kill off sporting athletes to musicians, from David Beckham to Daddy Yankee. Fake celebrity death stories often originate from several different sources and often via several different social networking methods.

But today, reports claim that the latest origin of 50 Cent fake death reports come from England. “Some dude in UK is spreading a Facebook rumor that 50 Cent is dead”, on fan wrote. Another fan wrote “Some proper [lies] on Facebook, 50 Cent is not dead.” One wrote simply “[I'm] Not really sure what to make of the 50 Cent car crash article.”

50 Cent Not Dead – Rapper Battles Three Fake Death Reports 2012 Today

50 Cent Not Dead - Rapper Battles Three Fake Death Reports 2012 Today

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – 50 Cent is not dead. But 50 Cent is the victim of three fake death reports 2012 surfacing online today. The rapper was the subject of erroneous claims that made news last December; those claimed that he died in a car crash. But today, the rapper is the victim of three fabricated reports, surfacing online, at the time same, from the same source. Fans are more skeptical this time around compared to last year’s false claims.

50 Cent didn’t die in a car crash on Route 80 today. Nor did the rapper and businessman die in a snowboarding accident in Zermatt. And while “50 in the house” might occur tonight on some dance floors, 50 is not in any Turks and Caicos house, despite claims from yet a third false report.

Fans are asking today if any of three false reports, all from Mediafetcher aka Global, are true. They aren’t. Each year, more fake celebrity death reports strike each respective celebrity. Currently there are three reports striking the rapper.

While 50 Cent might not share musical traits with Lil Wayne, he certainly shares one dubious moment making news today. Both have been the victim of a fake Turks and Caicos death report. Featuring an image of a jet ski torn apart on a deserted beach, Global claims that the rapper was in Turks today, that he was on a Jet-ski, and that he sufferered a fatal accident.

If that sounds problematic, it should. Global is also claiming that the rapper today was in Zermatt, Switzerland. That second false report claims that he died during a snowboarding crash. The website claims “this is a totally fake article based on zero truth and is a complete work of fiction”.

Global’s third fake death report today is also confusing fans. In it, Global claims that the rapper died in a car crash today 2012. The infamous Route 80 crash story has been used for countless music celebrities. For today, Global claims “Highway Safety Investigators have told reporters that 50 Cent lost control while driving a friend’s vehicle on Interstate 80 and rolled the vehicle several times killing him instantly.”

Since 2008, fake celebrity death reports have taken new form. Originating in false webpage creations, like Global, today fake death reports are sent via Twitter trick, Twitpic fabrications, and even false Facebook assertions. “RIP Beyonce” lead the biggest confusion in fall 2011. For it, one person set up an entire dedicated Facebook profile to falsely proclaim the singer had died.

Fake Twitpic attempts have also confused fans. Some took templates from news sites, and through the wonders of Photoshop, miraculously claimed a celebrity had died.

And finally, the false retweet option has consistently enraged fans. By typing “@RT”, dubious authors have claimed that someone else has proclaimed the celebrity has died, even though they haven’t.

Whether you are Beyonce, or Lil Wayne, Adam Sandler or 50 Cent, the attempt to falsely claim you have died has taken new form this year. None of these celebrities died today, but fake death reports about them still spiral out of control.

50 Cent Not Dead – Rapper Battles Fake Death Car Crash Story

50 Cent Not Dead - Fake Death Car Crash Story Resurfaces

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – 50 Cent is not dead. 50 Cent is the victim of an infamous fake death car crash story that resurfaced again today. 50 Cent is erroneously reported as having died in the same fabricated story that has been used again innumerable celebrities, just this month alone. Fans tonight are furious by the confusion.

50 Cent was not traveling on Route 80 today, he was not heading from Morristown and Roswell. But a fabricated report online today claims that the rapper was on the infamous highway and crashed between those two destinations. If this all sounds familiar, it should. The author of the fake story is Global Associated. Global has yet again published another fabricated story about another celebrity.

Global uses a series of template stories and just swaps in celebrities’ names. Then, ironically, every few days, another one of its stories gets referenced repeatedly on Twitter or Facebook, during a heightened viral frenzy. 50 Cent is today’s victim.

Global Associated starts with infamous locations which the celebrities have never visited in the first place. They are usually Zermatt (for film actors), Route 80 (for musicians), and the Kauri Cliffs (for TV celebrities). Next, the website fabricates large-than-life, Macbeth-like endings to celebrities’ lives. A car crash, a plane crash, a fall from a hike, and a snowboarding accident are among the most infamous tales. Finally the author adds in a name of a celebrity and couples it with a dynamically changing date (that will always show the article was published today).

While it may sound very obvious, it isn’t for many fans. Each week, sometimes each day, another celebrity makes news by being victimized by these fake reports. The reports, however, most often impact the fans more. Many fans believe the reports to be true and indicate how bothered and often frantic they are that the story might be true. Sometimes the fans become irate.

The fake reports also impact family members. At least one celebrity, false reported as dead, has indicated that their family members had read the report and became concerned the story was true.

50 Cent wasn’t on Route 80 today. But the published article erroneously claims he died in a car crash today on Route 80. The same fabricated tale has been used verbatim for Pauly D, David Guetta, Luke Perry, and others.

“So is this really true that 50 Cent is dead?” wrote one fan moments ago from Atlanta on Twitter citing to the Global story. Buried on the bottom of the Global Associated page about 50 Cent reads the following statement; “this story is 100% fake. This is an entertainment website, and this is a totally fake article based on zero truth and is a complete work of fiction for entertainment purposes!”

It remains unclear how anyone would consider falsely reporting someone as dead as “entertaining”. Global also admits as to the dynamic generating template. “This story was dynamically generated using a generic ‘template’ and is not factual.”

And while this report might indicate its false (if read the small print below the article), other websites in recent weeks have begun to do the same, but in a whole different level. Akon was falsely reported dead over the weekend by another website. That website doesn’t disclaim the report as false at the bottom. Moreover, rather than use a fake crash or fall story, the hideous report falsely claimed Akon died of a medical condition.

Yet, what remains unclear is how the stories obtain a viral foothold in the first place. Many of these stories aren’t authored just that day. But suddenly, by some means, persons suddenly begin linking to the fake stories in, quick, short durations. Last night it as Eddie Murphy falsely reported as dead. Earlier in the day it was Missy Elliot. On Sunday it was Akon falsely detailed. In fact, a quick perusal of Twitter shows that starting at roughly 3 PM PST today, the viral foothold of fake 50 Cent stories went from one every ten minutes to several every minute.

Chelsea Handler Wants 50 Cents for a Project

Chelsea Handler Wants 50 Cents for a Project

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Chelsea Handler added her two cents on 50 Cent dating reports last night. Chelsea Handler says she is not dating “Mr Cent”. But Handler admitted she wants Mr. Cent for a “project”.

Handler has won the affections of many single, and even married, rappers during her time as the host of E! late night talker. Among the offers have included  one to be Pharrell’s baby mama. Among non rappers, Handler bragged in recent months rolling in the outback wild (of Burbank) with animal reality star, Dave Salmoni.

But when reports surfaced that Handler was dating 50 Cent, fans were a bit surprised. When offered previous advances from Snoop Dogg to Pharrell, Handler tossed the rappers to the side. So what was so special about 50 Cent? But by midday Wednesday, US Magazine was reporting news that Handler wasn’t dating 50 Cent, just allegedly enjoying herself whenever he is in town. Handler’s reaction on twitter last night was simply “came down”. “I met with Mr. Cent about a potential project. There’s nothing to report yet, ill let you know if there is.”

Mr. Cent has yet to comment.

If Mr. Cent doesn’t come through, Handler has Reese Witherspoon for backup. Handler has been cast as Witherspoon’s older best friend in the film This Means War. The project also stars Chris Pine and Tom Hardy.

Chelsea Handler and 50 Cent Are Dating

Chelsea Handler and 50 Cent Are Dating

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Yes, Chelsea Handler and 50 Cent are dating. Chelsea Handler and 50 Cent dating reports swirled today after news, just by accident, got a picture of the two out on a date.  Was it staged? Critics weren’t so sure. By midday, a second news report claimed that the two have been dating for sometime.

Sometime?

In July Handler was reportedly “secretly” dating Dave Salmoni. Handler fueled the chatter by making jokes about the man in her life during her show, never naming Salmoni. Finally, Handler brought Salmoni on the program. And with that climatic moment, the couple were done.

Now a new report claims that Handler and 50 have been dating for “awhile”, despite her admission she was dating Salmoni as recently as September. A report in today’s US Magazine doesn’t claim that Handler and 50 are in a relationship, rather something a bit more free. “It’s been going on awhile. It’s more of a hookup thing — whenever they are in the same town.”

Before Salmoni, Handler in 2009 dated Ted Harbert. A report at the time claimed Handler and Harbert were living in her Marina Del Rey condo that cost $3.7 million for a mere 3,000 square feet.

When asked for a comment about 50, Handler’s rep today said she will answer all questions on her show.

50 Cent Explains Weight Loss PHOTOS!

50 Cent Weight Loss PHOTOS

PHOTOS! 50 Cent is explaining how he achieved that weight loss depicted in photos for the movie Things Fall Apart. 50 Cent weight loss photos were enabled by the rapper’s financing the movie, explains 50 Cent this weekend.

For the upcoming 2011 film, that the rapper both co wrote and financed, 50 cent loss both his weight and tattoos. This weekend he granted two interviews to explain how he did it, and why he did it.

50 Cent explains how he did it:

“Yeah, they’re absolutely real. I shot the first half of the film for eight days and then I left for my international tour, and I spent that time training to lose weight. I had a week and a half after coming back to really intensely train to get down to 160 for the last half of the film project, Things Fall Apart.

“It was a lot for me to actually get there. After the second week, it was crazy. They say it takes 30 days to make a habit, but man… I was on the Internet and I was looking at Christian Bale, while The Machinist was out, he almost killed himself. I was feeling like maybe I’m overdoing it and I’m dropping 54 pounds, but I was in such a good physical state prior to me deciding to go down on the weight.”

He adds how he came up with the roll in the first place.

“It’s myself, Mario Van Peebles, Ray Liotta, Lynn Whitfield, and it’s a project that I wrote, produced and financed myself. It’s about a Heisman hopeful who could possibly be going to the league and everyone is assuming he’s gonna make it, and then he’s hit with an illness. I had a friend of mine who actually experienced cancer, and it’s what motivated me to write this screenplay. You don’t have to make everything personal, but that project was. That’s why I committed to playing a role where I lost 54 pounds. I had to discipline myself enough until I achieved it but … I got it.”
