RHOC Getting a Laguna Beach Like Vanderpump Rules Next Year? EXCLUSIVE

RHOC Getting a Laguna Beach like Vanderpump Rules Next Year? EXCLUSIVE l

LOS ANGELES (LALATE EXCLUSIVE) – Is RHOC getting another Vanderpump Rules spinoff similar to Laguna Beach? Jax is not moving to Newport Beach and Kristen and Tom are not woohoo at Cotto Insurance anytime soon. But Bravo is actively considering a Vanderpump Rules approach to Monday nights for RHOC 2015, LALATE can exclusively report. And the most obvious frontrunner is a show that delivers memories of Laguna Beach.

In the last year, Bravo has perfected programming blocks for Sunday night shows built around RHOA. And they have done the same for RHOBH with two season of Vanderpump Rules. But LALATE can report that Bravo is seeking to anchor Monday nights better for RHOC next year with a comparable program, if not spinoff, that carries a So Cal vibe.

While Tamra Barney is not set to get a CUT Fitness spinoff just yet, LALATE can report that Bravo is seeking how to anchor Monday nights as a better programming block with a Laguna Beach like show. Beverly Hills is anchored with Vanderpump Rules. RHOA is anchored with Fashion Queens and WWHL specials (Porsha Stewart, NeNe Leakes and Kenya Moore, etc). But RHOC has been left with reruns of RHOA in recent months, not particular the best anchor for Orange County’s themes.

LALATE can report that Bravo is trying to improve blocks for Orange County, New Jersey and New York by carrying similar stylized themes, with geographical similarities or demographic appeal. But matching RHOC can be a bit problematic.

This season, RHOC’s ratings have grown and are expected to make a huge jump later on as tensions rise. But with RHOC featuring a more quirky, So Cal vibe this season, the show is not that easy to pair together in a programming block with current shows.

So could a revamped like Laguna Beach be coming to Bravo? LALATE can report that Bravo is considering how to pair RHOC in a stronger three hour programming block when it returns to Monday nights next season. The setting could be the South Bay. The demographic could be young adults. And who could be the stars? Get ready for something big.
