At seventy-eight points, Meryl Davis is the huge front runner this season. Davis has a seven point lead over the closest celebrity. James Maslow and Amy Purdy joined Davis as safe for tonight’s telecast.
The dancers in jeopardy remained NeNe Leakes with sixty-three points, Drew Carey with sixty-three and Candace Cameron Bure with sixty points. But after two weeks of predictions expecting NeNe to twirl on home, most thought Candace was the front runner for tonight’s elimination results. Meantime, several dancers are stuck in the middle of last week’s scores. Currently they include Charlie White, with sixty-nine points before tonight, Danica McKellar with sixty-eight, and Cody Simpson with sixty-six.
And with that, tonight’s episode started for April 14. Donny Osmond was tonight’s guest judge. First up was Drew Carey and Cheryl Burke performing the Aladdin Quickstep. They scored a twenty-eight. Bruno told news that it looked like “Aladdin on a nervous breakdown.” Next, Charlie White & Sharna Burgess got an impressive thirty-seven out of forty on the jazz. Bruno said it was one of Charlie’s best dances.
After White, Part 2 of the results were announced to news. Amy and Danica were announced as safe. But Cody Simpson and NeNe Leakes were sent to the Bottom Three.
Then, the scores continued. Danica McKellar and Val Chmerkovskiy earned a thirty-nine out of forty, Amy Purdy and Derek Hough got a thirty-seven, but Cody Simpson and Witney Carson struggled with a thirty-four. NeNe Leakes and Tony Dovolani impressed with a thirty-six. But James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd delivered a perfect 40. Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy got a thirty six, while Candace Cameron Bure and Mark Ballas got a 35.
