LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Another Los Angeles earthquake today 2014 has just struck La Habra in Southern California. The latest Los Angeles earthquake today March 31, 2014 began moments ago. Damage assessment is pending.
Officials tell news that a 2.7 magnitude Los Angeles earthquake today 3/31/14 began just after 11:17 am PST today. The quake was shallow. Reps tell news that the quake was less than one mile below ground level. As a result the quake could felt across the immediate region.
The quake was one mile east of La Habra. It was one mile NW of Brea and three miles SW of Rowland Heights. The quake was four miles north of Fullerton and close to Anaheim. And it was near all the recent quakes since Friday.
The strong La Habra quake on Friday has been followed by several aftershocks. On Saturday, one of the strongest hit Rowland Heights. Also that day, several smaller quakes hit Brea.
The latest round of Los Angeles earthquakes today are expected to continue. But the Rowland Heights quake over the weekend still remains one of the strongest aftershocks since Friday. Most quakes have been shallow. They have all been on the same fault line. Several homes, moreover, got red tagged and suffered structural damage on Friday. Unlike the Encino quake in recent quakes, the La Habra quakes have not been felt substantially across West Los Angeles.
