ST LOUIS (LALATE) – The NCAA Brackets 2014 Printable were launched after Sunday’s Selection Show Results 2014 last night. The NCAA Men’s College Basketball March Madness Division 1 Brackets (free printable brackets online below) delivered some surprises, poor seeds, peculiar schedule announcements, and some shutouts. Several teams, notably Louisville, were stunned with seed announcements for the NCAA Tournament. And while the road to the Final Four in North Texas 2014 won’t be easy for any team this month, several teams were dealt harsher seeds that others last night.
The NCAA Brackets 2014 Printable announcement on Selection Show Sunday kicked off the big week of events for March Madness. The Obama Brackets 2014, in which President Obama announces his Brackets, the NCAA Road Tour, in which media stops are used to promote bracket selections, and other bracket-themed events get underway today.
But the real person on everyone’s lips this morning is committee chairman Ron Wellman. Wellman was under fire almost immediately after Sunday’s Selection Show announcement. Several teams, like Virginia, got seeds that many thought were problematic. This season, the NCAA rewarded teams, it appeared, more based upon team performances in their last two weeks than much of the entire season.
And how about NC State’s seed? “That attracts the attention of the committee,” said Wellman to ESPN last night. “NC State took their game on the road and beat three top 50 teams.”
And while everyone was talking Sunday about teams shut out of the NCAA Men’s College Basketball Tournament, the big topic of discussion after the Sunday Selection Show Results, and even this Monday, was the Louisville seed. “We look at the total body of work, everything they did from November to March,” Wellman told ESPN “Every time we scrubbed that seed, Louisville ended at the same place every time when compared to the people above them.” For a printable bracket in PDF format click HERE and in image GIF format click HERE.
