Dancing with the Stars 2014 Results Tonight Prompt Changed DWTS Eliminations

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Dancing with the Stars 2014 results tonight prompted no eliminations. And next week’s DWTS elimination results for March 24, 2014 will follow a different format, in a season with more changes than just the entry of new co-host Erin Andrews. But what were DWTS scores tonight March 17 2014, and which dancer impressed the judges right from the beginning?

Officials tell news that the DWTS elimination format has been changed for this spring 2014 season. Last year, we saw the show drop from two nights to one night per week. That remains the same. Last winter, however, we watched as the scoring system changed. In winter 2013, viewers’ votes would get added with judges scores from the following week. This season, that madness of “this week” and “next week” is gone. Instead, for the 2014 season, this week’s voting is combined with this week’s judge scores to determine next week’s eliminations.

So how were the DWTS scores tonight, and what was NeNe Leakes’ score? Right off the bat, there were no low scoring dancers. Nene Leakes and Tony Dovolani twirled to the Cha-Cha-Cha. The judges enjoyed the routine and gave it a twenty-one. Twirl on that. Next, James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd tried the foxtrot. Some viewers though the routine was quite good for an opener. But it only scored a twenty-one.

This week’s routines include a mixture of cha-cha-cha, contemporary, and foxtrot routines. Meantime, Danica McKellar and Val Chmerkovskiy just took to the floor. And their Foxtrot earned impressive twenty-four. In other early numbers tonight, Sean Avery and Karin Smirnoff earned a twenty on the contemporary. But Billy Dee Williams and Emma Slater struggled on the cha-cha-cha, earning only a fifteen.
